Great place. Good location and nice staff.

The hotel was fine for our needs, but it wasn't that close to any sites (other than the Bazaar and the Beyazit Mosque) and the hotel's approximation of walking times were quite generous. The immediate area is more run down, urban, and it is a good 15-20 minute shlep on a busy street to the main sites (Hagia Sofia, Blue Mosque, etc). We had a junior suite which was great for our needs, and had a gorgeous view of the water, although another in our party had a regular room with no view but to a depressing courtyard. Walls here are VERY thin. Called the front desk each night to complain about the noise. I am not a rude guest, but this was beyond my tolerance level when traveling.

An international hotel chain set certain standards and service level, which is one of the reasons why we chose Best Western Plus in Istanbul. We couldn't be more wrong. We had a small accident just outside the hotel, but instead of finding a bandage in the First Aid kit, the reception just referred to the nearest pharmacy. No help. When we enquired […] about one hour extension on our check-out, the receptionist wanted to sell another night as the hotel was fully booked (not true). Later, when asking another person in reception, it was OK and no issue !! This is just on top of our list, but it goes on and my recommendation would be to find another hotel in the area. The President Hotel in Instanbul was in a great location for sightseeing. Close to tram line and the major sites in the old town. Staff was very helpful. Hotel was very clean and quiet. We enjoyed our stay.

Very nice hotel. Friendly, helpful service. Contains several restaurants. Great view from rooftop restaurant and pool. Good gift shop. One minute walk to Grand Bazaar. Short walk to other popular sites .

I have been a guest of this hotel for 5 days in July 2011 and I have been very pleased with the quality of the service. The breakfast is good and the gym has an excellent and relaxing view of the sea. The terrace is always a good place to have a drink while admiring the astonishing sightseeings of Istanbul. All in all, I recommend this hotel.

Best Western The president Hotel can be considered as a normal 4 star hotel, but the location is excellent. The rooms are comfortable and clean. But, the lobby is much less than what you expect from a 4 star hotel. The business center is not so well organized, with one computer (out of 4) out of order at the time of our stay. I stayed at this hotel in 2009 and again in 2011 about eighteen months apart and I enjoyed each stay. I reserved and stayed in one of the junior suiets both times and found them to be very attractive, roomy and well appointed. The hotel staff is so pleasant and accomodating they become like family at times. The hotel is officially in old town, albeit on the edge, but is still close enough to many of the sights that shoes and a light day pack is all you will need to get around. It is right accoss the street from the grand bazar which makes this a strategic location if you like to shop. Favored entertainment is close and the famous Orient House is right down stairs. Most places can be vistied with as little as 10TL by taxi excluding the airport and Taskim Square. Warning; If you don't speak Turkish have the hotel staff relate your exact travel needs to the taxi driver so that you actually get where you want to go and at the price that you expect to pay. The food was excellent, especially the breakfast buffet, and I had one of the best American Style steaks brought to my room that I have ever had. We have been to Istanbul many times and have stayed at a myriad of hotels from 3 star to 5 stars( when possible). I must say that this Hotel was very comfortable, the staff was most gracious and the Hotel was within walking distance to a lot of the tourist aeas. The President Hotel is situated in the antic part of Istanbul within a centre of shoe- and leather manufacture and shops (partly only wholesale). A few steps from Grand Bazar, 15 min to the Spicy Bazar or Blue Moschee, Hagia Sophia, Topkapi. If you don't like to walk there is tram station available 2 min. from Hotel or Taxi is available at good prices […] but someway adventureous. Rooms are clean, good served, reasonable size but you may hear some noise from the street or next room. The hotel is two blocks from Grand Bazaar and tram, which takes you everywhere in the city. Overall a good hotel. Fairly close to Grand Bazaar, 2-3 tram stops from Blue Mosque. Got 2single beds, was expecting double. Good breakfast included in price. Our TV didn't work at first, and we needed to get help. Staff courteous and helpful. Dining facilities suboptimal. Air conditioning fine in room, but lobby did not feel cool.

Great hotel, clean, comfortable, everything in fine working order. The hotel is close by walking distance to all major attractions in the City, yet it is not in the heart of old downtown, so you avoid the street noise and the clogged traffic streets. Our second visit and loved it as much as the first time. Very comfortable and quite modern but has a warm and cosy feel. Lovely breakfast in restaurant with great views. Great location near Grand Bazaar, walking distance to the mosques, near tram stop.

Især den lækre tagterrasse var et hit, men et rigtigt dejligt hotel med en venlig og hjælpsom betjening. Gode værelser, og en god oplevelse.

Hotellet har ett mycket bra läge. Gångavstånd till sevärdheter. Frukosten var inte topp klass även om det fanns ett stort frukostutbud. Hjälpsam personal.

Vorallem die zentrale Lage sind bei diesem Hotel ideal. Zudem ist das Personal sehr zuvorkommend, die Zimmer sind sauber. Tolle Aussicht vom Frühstücksraum auf das Marmarameer. Reichliches Frühstücksbuffett, sehr lecker.

Excellent rapport qualité prix. Personnel serviable et efficace, Chambre confortable, propre et bien entretenue. Etablissement proche des sites touristiques, mais toutefois tranquille. Donc peu d'animation dans le quartier en soirée.

Kjempefint hotell med pene og rene rom. Utrolig deilig tak-restaurant med pool og solsenger. :-) Beliggenheten er og også fin med kort vei til alt i gamlebyen.

A nice hotel, close to the highlights of Istanbul. The immediate neigherhood around the hotel (downhill) is not attractive, but uphill is ok and close to the tramway and the old centre. Hotel de muito boa qualidade com uma otima relação custo beneficio e muito bem localizado. Esta a 3 quarteirões do Grand Bazar, muito proximo da Mesquita Azul e de outras atrações. O café da manhã muito bom com uma área de lazer muito boa. Recomendo fortemente.

Personnel très agréable, toujours disponible,hotel que nous avons fréquenté trois séjours différents..jamais déçus... Depuis qu'il est "Best Western "les petits déj.font un peu "cantine"....beaucoup de monde en attente pour le pain...entre autres.. Hotel à recommander ,très bien placé et personnel diligent....
