Americas Best Value Inn - Stillwater

My boyfriend and I stayed at this hotel last weekend. The hotel was very nice and clean. The complaint that I have though is about the manager. He was very rude and ran after my boyfriend yelling at him. Ill explain... So this hotel has both smoking and non- smoking room. We stayed in a non- smoking room. My boyfriend as curious if there may be an indoor […] smoking area. The manager seemed very confused by what he was asking. He ended up calling my room at 11 30 at night and asking if I would accept a visitor from my boyfriend. And I told him that my boyfriend was staying with me. I then explained to him what my boyfriend was trying to explain and he said in a very rude voice, " NO! we do not have smoke area inside. You must go outside!" and so we said thank you we were just wondering. So my boyfriend went outside to smoke and realised he forgot his cigs in the room. So he came back in and the manager started running towards him saying you can't smoke in here! you have to go outside! My boyfriend replied to him I forgot my cigs in the room. Then with no relevation to the conversation at all the manager told him to stay in his space. and that this space ( as he was pointing to the desk and back area) was his space. We were like we know. So the hotel was nice but the service was horrible! I don't care how nice the hotel is. Its the service that i care about! Plus the hottub was very cold! Lisätietoja

The hotel was easy to find. Nice to have other breakfast options nearby. The only negative was the smell of cigarettes in the hallway. We had a non-smoking room. Did get a good night's sleep. This hotel was in Stillwater, MN.

My stay at American Best Value was our first and certaintly our last. Our room smelled, it was a non-smoking room and smelled like the Marbroll Man slept there last. The pool was dirty and the hot tub was cold. The securitry door was broken our tv did not work. The most disturbing part was the lack of concern by the staff. It's about 12 miles from the airport but a real Twin Cities bargain. Room was very clean, excellent building maintenance, clean carpet, excellent bed. Morning breakfast was simple but very good, Hot coffee and cold juice plus continental breakfast.

For Hotels.Com I was very unsatisfied with this Hotel. Half the lights didn't work, there was still food in the refrigerator from the previous customer, and the big one....our room was next to the end exit door. The people staying next to us had a party and people were going in and out from 1am - 4am; so the outside door was propped open with a rock […] and everytime someone came in and out the door slammed shut. We called the front desk at 3am and nothing was ever done about it. I complained the next morning and there was no comment. So - we will never stay at this Hotel again. The front desk staff was very friendly and most accomodating. The other guests were friendly and helpful--we got acquainted over breakfast. The rooms are not plush, but for plush we would have spent twice as much. We stayed 2 nights and would recommend this motel to any of our friends who are looking for a good night's rest on a budget.

The best thing I can say about the hotel is the front desk service. The ladies at the front desk were very friendly and helpful. When I got upstairs to go to my room, I noticed that it was very hot in the hallway. When I got into my room it felt like a sauna. It was so hot in the room. I couldn't get the window open. I turned on the air conditioner […] and waited for the room to cool down. Also the side door that would usually be locked was left unlocked. That didn't make me feel very safe. I was sure to deadbolt my room door. I guess for the price it was ok. But a hotel that was more a little more would be worth the money. The bed was comfortable. Room was quite small and did'nt give me a real clean feeling. For the price we may have been better off to pay a bit more for a better place.

I didn't like that the hotel was a mix of smoking and non-smoking rooms. The rooms were clean, but overall the place was kindof dumpy. I can't complain though because it was a good price and clean enough. The staff was very nice. The pool wasn't that clean. Overall I was satisfied but wouldn't stay there again. This is a very well kept, clean hotel with a lovely heated indoor pool and helpful service. It is near restaurantsa and fast food places. Much less expensive to stay here than in expensive Stillwater, which is 15 minutes away.

The hotel was very clean and quiet. The location was excellent. The room was very comfortable. The continental breakfast was very small and limited. I never seen an employee the entire time I stayed there. The pool area was very warm and kept nice. I would stay here again.

The room was very small and the bathroom looked dingy. The continental breakfast was minimal. Thankfully we only stayed one night. Save your money and stay at a Motel 8 because that's what you're getting at this one for twice the price.

Our stay was very comfortable.

There was a lot of people with dogs, so i could not sleep there were 2 rooms next to me with dogs, and also a lot of people were living there like apartments building.

Have stayed here before . The motel was previously a Best Western. The new operator has remodeled the reception area - but the remainder of the facility is dated. It is clean with laundry facilities available on site. The pool and sana are maintained as is the property. I was a little disappointed with the 'breakfast' which is served from 6 - 10 AM. […] The selection was limited to two dry cereal choices and a few sweet rolls.muffins, mini bagels and toast. the toaster had only one of the two sides working. The coffee, orange and apple juice was plentiful. The price per night is very reasonable and I will stay there again in the future Lisätietoja
