Viihdyimme tyttäreni kanssa hyvin. Aamiainen oli erinomainen. Vain kadulta tulleet viikonlopunviettäjien äänet hieman häiritsivät. Televisio-kuva oli epäselvä.

Hotellikäynti sujui mukavasti. Hotelli on keskeisellä sijainnilla josta oli näkymät kadunpuoleisista ikkunoista Stortingetille ja Rådhusetille. Kääntöpuolena tavallisena viikonloppuna baarista poistuvien äänet yöllä voisivat häiritä. Aamiainen oli hyvä ja kokonaisuudessa hintalaatusuhde kohdallaan.

Oikein mukava hotelli, henkilökunta todella auttavaista ja ystävällistä ja melkein kaikki nähtävyydet kävelymatkan päässä. Aamupala oli hyvä ja runsas. Kadun puolella oli vähän meluista, mutta korvatulpat on siihen hyvä apu!

Hotel was right in the center and all the sights are nearby. The breakfast was very good and throughout the day one could get a free tea or coffee in the lobby bar. Room was cozy.

Kiva hotelli erittäin hyvällä paikalla, palvelu hyvää, aamiainen hyvä, mutta huone ei.vastannut odotuksia. Huone oli varsinkin aluksi kohtuuttoman kylmä, lattialla oli kivampi seistä talvikengissä. Saimme ylimääräisen lämmittimen, mutta sulakkeet eivät sitä kestäneet. Onneksi oli taskulamppu, kun valot menivät myöhään illalla kaksi kertaa.

Siisti ja suloinen vanhan ajan henkinen hotelli kävelymatkan päässä monista mielenkiintoisista nähtävyyksistä/kohteista. Huone oli siisti ja riittävän tilava. Kylpyhuone melko "koruton". Ei hyllyjä, joille laskea pesutarvikkeet, kosmetiikka ym. Erittäin ystävällinen ja avualias henkilökunta vastaanotossa.

Very nice little hotel. A good choice when travelling with family. Lovely staircase. Whenever I come back to Oslo I eill choose this hotel again.

The building is very beautiful and the staff is very friendly. Breakfast was ok. Our room was really big and beautiful alltough the view from the window was not that nice. Our room was quiet and there was absolutely no noise. Bathroom was new and the floor was heated. Only thing to complain is that there was a bit too cold in the room when we arrived […] and on the first day housekeeping left the window open so there was a bit too cold again on the second night. Viikonloppu Oslossa, Best Western Karl Johanissa... Hotellihuone oli sinällään hyvä ja hotellin sijainti hyvä. Kaikkiin sisäpihalla oleviin hotellihuoneisiin kuului kuitenkin häiritsevästi ilmastointilaitteen ääni, joka ei huonettakaan vaihtamalla auttanut. Yöunet jäivät siis kevyiksi. The service was great, but the first room we got was situated just above a bar which produced so much noise (very loud music among other things - you could hear it through your pillow!) that it was impossible to sleep. Very nice location, close to all main touristic venues. Hotel is a bit older style, like average european hotel. The room we were in could have used some refurbishing as the furniture was looking tired.

I was very pleased with my stay at this hotel. The staff was quite friendly and eager to make helpful suggestions. I was happy about that because I was a bit confused by the names of the streets and whether or not I'd need to take a taxi to my business meetings. We were given a suite (even though I only booked a room for 2 adults and a 2yr old. Very impressed - big rooms and clean with good quality fittings. The staff were very friendly and professional - especially on the front desk. The hotel is perfectly placed for viewing the city - and very close to the FLYTOGET train from the airport (station in the same […] square). Only negatives were - minbar didn't work and they never got around to changing it. Not a problem in winter when you can put food on the outside window sill, but annoying if it were summer. Also you can hear the bass of the local bars etc until late in the night. Not loud but could annoy some people (and our room didn't overlook the square which would probably have been noisier). This hotel was superior in all aspects, including a very delicious and extensive set of tasty choices on the breakfast buffet.The staff is very professional, helpful and personable, and the location is perfect for seeing all that Oslo offers.I have traveled to nearly 50 countries on 3 continents,and I rate this hotel as an excellent value.

Great location. Right on the most happening street. A few steps to restaurants and shopping. Walking distance from the metro station. Staff are friendly and helpful.

I've visited this hotel 3 times and the rooms are always a good size with a sofa as well as a bed. Some parts of the rooms look a little tired, but they are always spotlessly clean and more than adequate for a night away and would be an ideal room from which to explore the city. Next to the hotel is a small corner shop with a hot counter if you want […] a snack, or there is TGI Fridays, Oleary's or Hard Rock Cafe within 50 yards of the hotel for a evening meal. Despite the hotel looking a little tired, the rooms and beds a tad on the small side we really enjoyed our stay. The location is perfectly central, the staff extremely helpful and the breakfasts are the icing on the cake.

Superb location right in the centre of Oslo is certainly the top assett of the hotel. Breakfast is also worth a mention. Downsides however include unprofessional staff and noise from the bars below at weekends (up until 4am!). Get your earplugs ready if you are staying in a street facing room.

Paid for a junior suite with separate bedroom, but was only offered a so-called family room with extra beds. Nice view to the parliament and Karl Johan street, however accompanied by traffic and night life, as the windows didn't offer much in terms of noice cancellation. Overall impression: centrally located, but could certainly use a facelift.

The location of the hotel was excellent and the Receptionists were very helpful and friendly. The breakfast buffet was substantial and continually replenished. Free tea and coffee facilities in the lounge was very welcome and I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to anyone.

The location was great, very near Karl Johan gate and National Theatre with easy train access to the airport. Rooms are decent, nothing special but nothing wrong. They forgot to clean my room during the day, but showed up later and asked if I needed anything. Good free breakfast.

Met one of the friendliest, pleasant and helpful staff members at this hotel. Zita, the hostess on the front desk was incredibly helpful in advising us on where to go and what to see in Oslo as well as making sure we had everything we needed in our hotel. Really enjoyed our stay, but it was really Zita who elevated the quality of this hotel.

The front desk staff was very helpfully with assigning a room that fit our requests. The room was quiet and spacious. Hotel was in downtown area close to attractions and transit.

This was our second stay at your hotel in 2012 - first in April & now in September. Very comfortable both stays. In April we had the Karl Johan suite and it was very roomy. the September visit we had a room which was very small - probably should of "upgraded" our room to have more room - but it was just as comfortable but not enough room.

Clean, comfortable (but rather small) room, in a hotel that is within easy walking distance of the National Gallery. Staff really friendly and helpful, breakfast excellent. Good value.

The location of this hotel is central. It is perfect for first time visitors. It is close to many touristic areas and is well priced for the quality you get. I recommend that you take the airport express train when getting to and from the airport to the hotel. A taxi will cost you close to $200 vs. the train is $30 per person.

Everything at this hotel was good! The real selling point though, is the location! So many things are within walking distance that it's easy to pop back to the hotel if you've forgotten something or need a rest. The only part of the experience that was not great was the breakfast room. The food itself was good, but with a hotel as large as this one […] was, there were just so many people in the breakfast room, bumping into each other, kids running around and screaming, people taking chairs from other tables to pull up to other tables, etc. The service staff were wonderful and did everything they could to keep the area clean and organized, there were just too many people in a small space to have it be calm and enjoyable. This room was amazing. I loved every second in my room. On the 5th floor, I had my own little balcony I could sit on while I read a book. There was also a sofa and comfortable bed. You are right by many of Oslo's biggest sites.

Perfectly located in the heart of the action. Easy train access to/from airport via National Theater station a block away. Nice breakfast and room. Easy walk to cruise ships. Very friendly staff. Well managed.

on weekends rooms that look out on to the street can be very noisy at night due to being next door eatery and bars with live music. we could not sleep til 3 am, we had to keep the windows closed even though it was too warm in the room, otherwise it would be a nice hotel.

Very well located, elegant hotel in the center of Oslo. Great, warm and friendly staff and great service. Clean, satisfactory, comfortable rooms. Wonderful breakfast options.

Location is fabulous. Easy walking distance to Wharf, Palace, sight-seeing. Nice neighborhood for walking/shopping/browsing/peoplewatching. The train (be sure to take the local train and not the express train. It is half the price and runs the same route with only a couple of extra stops) from the airport lets off (National Theater Exit) a 3 minute […] walk from the hotel. The hotel was clean, the staff was friendly and accommodating, the breakfast buffet was fabulous (by European standards it was typical with all of the meats, cheeses, fresh fruit etc.) . One of the floors had a hospitality room that had (free) coffee, tea, cappacino maker, tables, etc. This was great because I love my cappacino's and buying anything in Norway was VERY expensive. The room was small (by American standards - typical of European hotels). and there was really nowhere to un-pack (I don't remember any drawers and just a few coat hangers) this was okay since we only spent two days in Oslo. The bed was very comfortable with luxurious sheets/douvet/pillows. Overall we enjoyed our stay and thought that it was a great value. This is a classic case of site vs situation. The site could not be better - right in the heart of Oslo and so central to all the sights - most accessible on foot from here. We even walked with our luggage to Central station. The situation, though, was terrible. The hotel is situated either next to or on top of a nightclub. We complained, but there were […] no rooms available to shift to. After 3am, we got some sleep. Not overly impressed that the nightclub is not mentioned anywhere.
