great location, very nice hotel, very comfortable, great price, nice pool and deck, would recommend!

The staff was great and fluent in English. Breakfast was delicious but do not eat the dinner buffett. Overpriced and selection is minimal. Cheaper to grab a bite at the roof top bar and food is good. We split a plate between us and had plenty to eat.

We recently stayed here for one night only on our way home. The location right in the middle of and on the front of Copacabana Beach was absoluitely ideal. Nice touch with an allocated area of beach beds and deck chairs for hotel guests only. The reception desk staff could not have been more helpful.They let us keep our room until 3pm on the day of […] departure at no extra cost as our flight was not until midnight. We could also shower and change in the sauna area by the roof top pool (small but nice) . The roof top bar offered very good waiter service but the food was average at best - frozen burger! Breakfast was fine, Room OK , bathroom a bit 'edgy' in places (grouting, sealant, etc). Overall though pretty satisified. The hotel was wonderful... nice rooms, great pool... much better rates booking through hotels.com than at the hotel itself. The people were incredibly helpful... and the best part.. THE POOL. The food was delicious and the pool was beautiful. I was in Rio and it was hard to go to the beach b/c we had so much fun at the hotel pool and poolside bar service! […] I would recommend it to anyone... lot's of kids around too. The hotel was lovely and clean and located right on Copacabana beach with a lovely open air terrace/swimming pool at the top. We did however find the staff to be slightly judgmental and not extremely helpful at times. This hotel is in the middle of Copacabana providing you easy access to everything. The hotel is generally clean and well maintained. Rooms are small. There is a strong smell of odor "neutralizer" in the room. Easy and fast access to taxis. Breakfast are typical hotel breakfast. Various good restaurant around. It is a good hotel if you book it for what you are looking for as a great location for a beach hotel. Rooms are small but what the heck you are out and about 90% of the time.

Although it's great to look over beach from dinning room where fabulous breakfasts are served(other than awful coffee!) if you get a room with a horrible view even though you've paid more than a good hotel in high priced London, we weren't sure whether it wouldn't have been better in a more happening area as you are encouraged to go everywhere by taxi. […] Room very small and dull although lovely bathroom. Nice to have a bar area in use and open late at night. Rooftop pool lovely, great view although weather not condusive to our using it. Service providing beach equipment also great. I could not sleep properly becasue of mechnical noise outside of my room. I have requested the change of my room, but the front desk mentioned "No empty room is available". Except this prolem, I was happy.

This hotel was everything we expected. Right on the beach, in the middle of everything, good service and great shuttle service from the airport. Check this out before you go. Fab location on the copacabana beach front. Nice roof top pool, although a little small. Breakfast was very tasty in the resturant with lots of options in the bufet. Lots of beach front restraunts for dinner so eat out each night. Easily booked tours through the hotel reception. Staff member from H. The hotel was located right on Copacabana Beach. Wonderful food, excellent service - ideal hotel for our vacation!

The location is perfect, right on the beach, and the hotel staff, especially the front desk, was very helpful. hotel lived up to expectations however we were disappointed with copacobana beach area. we shopped and dined in ipanema which was more happening.

What a great location! Chairs and umbrellas on the beach exclusively for the hotel guests. Beach service unsurpassed. The area provided restaurants, great shopping the next street over and of course the beach across the street. The view from the pool/bar was perfect, the beach, cruise ships passing by, the Christ Redeemer Statue in the hills behind, […] excellent wait staff and an intimate area to socialize in. Being a first time visitor in Rio De Janeiro, your hotel compares very well with 5 star hotels in North America. One little odd thing which may be common in South America as all hotels we've stayed from Chile to Brazil; don't you use bath face (small towels)-( in all the hotels we've stayed in including yours, we have to ask to ask for them.) The location was great, the staff was very helpful, the room was small but very clean and the amenities were good.

My wife and I spent 3 nights here in January 2011. This was a great hotel! We picked it based on price/location/reviews. I would highly recommend staying here if you want to stay in Copacabana. It is centrally located on the beach and right on the water (as close as you can get). It offers free shuttle service through "Shuttle Rio" - you pay the driver […] and the hotel pays you back - which worked great for us even though our plane was almost 2 hours late, our driver was still there waiting. This is not a 4-star property ! Everything there is small and dark - including the rooms touted as " Ocean View". The only view of the ocean from these rooms comes if you are tall, and standing directly in the window with your nose against the window pane. At least the restaurant where breakfast is served is bright

The hotel and its staff were the best. They were very helpful and multi-lingual. The hotel is in the same block as the Copacabana Palace Hotel. A prestigous location on Copacabana Beach. Very helpful in directing us to key tourist spots like Christ the Redeemer and Sugar Loaf Mountain.

The bed was large and comfortable, the view from the room to the beach was completely unobstructed. Nice restaurants nearby, one block to he Copacabana Palace (if you're looking to save oney and attend an event there). Hotel's free airport shuttle runs on time and is more comfy than a cab. We had an excellent time at the Windsor Excelsior. Staff were very pleasant and helpful. A bonus was the beach service that offered towels, umbrella and chairs on Copacobana beach right outside the hotel. Large breakfast included with very attentive staff. Fabulous location and reasonable prices - would definitely stay here again.

The hotel's location could not be better-just had to cross the boulevard to get to Copacabana beach. Great view from the tenth floor pool. The full breakfast included in the hotel rate was excellent so too were the buffet dinners. A major bonus was the free suttle to the airport which would likely be an $80.00 taxi fare.

The Windsor Excelsior was as described on Hotels.Com. I would stay there again. The rate is somewhat higher per night than the Orla (also in Copacabana), but, unlike the Orla they don't charge for local calls or 800 number calls, they don't charge to use the room safe and they offer a free bus ride to the airport. The condition of the rooms, the attitude […] of the staff and the breakfast at the Windsor Excelsior are better than the Orla. We weren't sure what to expect, so the hotel worked fine for a long holiday weekend for a couple of friends. The Hotel is directly on the beach and the main road in front of the beach which has a lot of interesting foot and cycle traffic. We had no problems getting to any of the other sites in Rio from here. The hotel front desk staff was very helpful […] and was able to arrange transportation to anywhere we wnated to go and give us relevant information. They also arranged a late checkout for us on our last day when we had a late flight out of Rio. The room was unremarkable and relatively small but clean, fine if you only wnat to use it for sleeping. This hotel is right on the Copacabana beach and three blocks from a metro stop. The hotel staff was very efficient and helpful, the room was clean with a very comfortable bed, LCD TV, and nice bathroom - but no tub if you care about that. Wonderful breakfast is included, and the bilingual staff is very friendly and helpful. The location is great, right on Copacobana beach and you can see the Christ Redeemer from many of the rooms and from the pool on the top floor. I would definitely stay here again! For the price and location you can't beat it!

For the money, this hotel is an excellent choice. Right across from Copacabana beach. The breakfast is excellent. The room was nice, spacious enough, and clean. I would highly recommend this hotel.

great location, right in front of the beach plus the hotel provides complimentary beach towel/chair service. the staff was very helpful and nice however their prices for the tours are significantly more than going outside and booking tours from outside agents. there is one decent dance club in that area (maruizai or something like that) fun place and […] easy to pick up girls but all the bigger clubs are about a 20 or 25min cab ride away. all in all i strongly recommend this hotel if you want to stay in copacobana Lisätietoja

Confesso que tive duas surpresas: 1 - primeiro achei um pouco caro; 2 - depois vi que a qualidade justificava, embora com o mesmo valor eu tenha ficado em hoteis melhores na Itália. Mantenham a qualidade, faz bem a todos.

Se encuentra en plena playa de Copacabana. Las vistas desde el hotel son impresionantes. Si quieres gozar desde la habitación de estas vistas, tienes que confirmarlo con el hotel (nos dijeron que llevaba un suplemento), pero si vas a pasar tiempo en la habitación, puede merecer la pena. Las habitaciones son amplias, aunque un poco "tristes". Los tonos […] marrones son los colores del suelo, paredes y decoración. Sería aconsejable un poco más de "alegría". O hotel esta bem localizado na praia de copacabana, bem proximo ao copacabana palace. O cafe da manha é excelente e o staff do hotel é educado e atencioso. No quesito quarto, o hotel peca pelo fato dos moveis serem muito antigos, deixando o quarto com cheiro de mofo, Alem do mais, o quarto é mal iluminado, dando uma certa claustrofobia.
