Across the street from the beach, this family-friendly hotel is less than a mile from Eastbourne Bandstand and Eastbourne Pier. Royal Eastbourne Golf Club is 5 minutes away, and Beachy Head is a 10-minute drive. Glyndebourne Opera House is 30 minutes from the hotel.

Hyvä hotelli ihan rannassa, erinomaisella paikalla. Hotelli vielä vähän remontin alla mutta toimiva. Tilava huone, siisti ja puhdas. Ystävällinen ja avulias henkilökunta. Ruokaisa aamiainen.

Brighton House is more like a B&B than a hotel, with very friendly and efficient staff, a green attitude to business and a great location just off Brighton Beach. My smallish but comfortable room had a lovely view of Regency Square and even the sea. I appreciated the organic breakfast buffet and the environmentally conscious choices in room amenities - no single-use sachets of coffee, organic & fair trade products used whenever possible. My stay was during one of the busiest summer weekends in South England. Luckily I'm a sound sleeper, otherwise the party noise from surrounding pubs and clubs might have made proper rest quite difficult. Rooms not facing the square are probably more quiet though. I'm quite happy with my stay and would recommend this little place to other travellers.

"Grand Hotel"
Lovely, well maintained English Hotel in the finest Traditional sense. Well maintained. we spent a weekend here and really enjoyed it.
"Grand by name, grand by nature"
Utterly fabulous - grand but not scary. All the staff are very welcoming and helpful. The In-room babysitting service allowed us a much-needed night out as a couple and we *loved* the baby sized bath robe! Highly recommended, we will definitely be going back.

"A Classic Hotel"
The Grand at Eastbourne is our favourite UK hotel. The staff are polite, attentive and have an air of efficiency. Our room (junior suite) is highy recommended. The Garden Restaurant is really very good indeed with an excellent choice of menu, effectively served with a very well developed wine list. We picked the Grand in Eastbourne for a quick weekend break for 2 reasons.... a high star rating so we expected a certain level of comfort and facilities, and most importantly we could take our dog with us! We paid a very high nigthly rental for an executive sea view room which had a balcony with non secure locking doors, carpet in the bathroom (yuck) […] and what was described as a kingsize bed, was infact 2 beds together which were some of the most uncomfortable we had ever slept in! I think the mattresses had been there for 20 years ! The breakfast which was included in the price was very average as a buffet.For a 5* hotel it was very disappointing. Hotel staff friendly and efficient. Room clean but was disappointed by the fact that as a 5* star hotel there was no fridge in the room and no air conditioning in the bedroom.

The place looks stunning from the outside, but a there were some rennovations going on internally so what looked like it may have been a grand staircase was covered in dust sheets. They insist on a jacket and tie in the restaurant, which they should be made clear on booking, and dont allow jeans even for breakfast. Spa is small, but very nice - you […] need to book treatments in advance if you are going at the weekends. "The Grand Hotel not so Grand anymore"
We stayed the night last night at the Grand. It is an impressive building, however the interior is in dire need of updating and some TLC. We booked last minute and got a reduced rate, the room we were assigned smelt like my granmother's house, and looked like it. At best I would say this was a 4* hotel, the little touches that make a hotel 5* were sadly […] missing. For example no moisturiser was included in the toileteries, when we called housekeeping for some we were told we had to pay for it... Beware, both restaurants require a tie and jacket to be worn by men and book in advance as we were told on arrival they were full. The staff were friendly and attentive, though seemed suspicous of us as we were under 50 and were wearing jeans on arrival. There is a more modern hotel 4 blocks down, if you are under retirement age and want desiger bedrooms at a reasonable rate I suggest you try there instead. Lisätietoja
