This is as British as it can get. A Victorian low-rise red brick building with a Carvery restaurant serving Sunday roast... The restaurant is apparently very popular with the locals. So, traditional and old style, but also friendly, and cosy. You'll have to walk a bit to get to Canterbury city centre however, unless you are by car.

"Nice hotel let down by poor room maintainence"
Friendly helpful and efficent Staff, Good facilities, good value very enjoyable breakfasts, Lovely pool and sauna, uncomfortable beds, rooms could have been better maintained (chipped sinks in bathrooms, water stained walls)

"Hilton Maidstone - clean and friendly hotel"
Comfortable hotel with spacious accommodation. We stayed there between Christmas and New Year 2011 and were a family of five, across three generations! The hotel was a great base to access the local area, including Bluewater and Dicken's World. Great pool for all to take a dip in the morning or afternoon and we even made use of the gym!! Buffet breakfast […] was superb! Could use some silencers on door closings as some guests were up either much later than us or earlier risers! "Maidstone Hilton Hotel"
It's a nice hotel, yes a little dated and need some refreshment but spa health club covers this all. My two children enjoy it. The room was big and comfortable too, with 2 double beds and sitting sofa with nice view from window, bathroom with bathtub is spacious too. Breakfast (included in room price) is very good includes traditional english, cereals […] plus ham, smoked salmon, cheese and etc. We had dinner here as well,we chosen 1 course buffet and were very satisfied, it was testy and you can it as much as you want. "Maidstone Hilton - Clean and comfortable"
We stayed here on Boxing Day 2011 to visit family in the area. Arrived around midnight and checked in very easily; service was all smiling efficiency. The room itself was very spacious - a standard-size double bed which was a delightful surprise after finding ourselves on two singles pushed together in every other hotel we've stayed in recently - and […] a sofabed. The room was spotlessly clean, everything worked as it should, and although the bathroom could do with updating it didn't detract from the experience. We took advantage of the noon check out time to sleep in so skipped breakfast (which would have been £16.75 a head, having booked room-only) and didn't check out any of the hotel's other facilities. The stay was perfectly good for our purposes and a vast improvement on the two other chain hotels in the area that we've previously used (Village and Holiday Inn, both in Medway) at a very reasonable price when booked six weeks in advance. The one detractor was the Costa Coffee counter not being open when we checked out at lunchtime - a little surprising but we charitably put this down to it being a public holiday... Lisätietoja
"a good place to stay"
My husband and I stayed at the Maidstone Hilton for 2 nights whilst visiting our granddaughter who lives in Kent. The location is very convenient - easy access from M20 exit and easy to get to M2. The hotel reception staff were very friendly and welcoming. Breakfasts were excellent - dinner, less so. Room was a good size, clean and comfortable. Pool […] area was warm and well-maintained. "Fabulous Stay"
We were visiting family in England and this hotel was conveniently located. There is a park and ride and bus service to the train station right behind the hotel which we used on many occassions. The staff couldn't have been more helpful or accomodating. When our flight was cancelled, the front desk worked hard to get us booked for an extra night and […] allowed us to use the same room. The Hotel staff was amazing. The best crew of people at a hotel.
I have stayed here on many occasions and have always been extremely satisfied. The staff was very friendly and attentive.. We had a few special needs and they were exceptional helpful. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, the food is good and the grounds are attractive. I have never had a negative experience at this hotel.

Excellent service from friendly and attentive staff. The inclusive buffet breakfast was outstanding. Although not used due to time constraints the fitness and spa facility was an added bonus. The only drawback was the outside noise from the dual carriageway forcing us to close the window. "Hilton doesn't own their star"
I choose Hilton to have a peace of mind and relax. This is the first I am staying in a Hilton as I usually go from Accord hotels. I didn't enjoy my night at the Hilton for these reasons:. 1. The room's door was letting the corridor light in the room. 2. People was very noisy in the corridot at late hours so not really the standart you expect from a […] Hilton. 3. We went to breakfast about 9h45 and we had to queue to get a table. Lucky for us we were only two but some people had to wait 10-15 minutes or even more to get a table. 4. Continental breakfast choices are very limited. A part from that the room and bathroom were clean and the staff were here to help or shall I say to hear what you are telling them and say we are sorry. "Don't be fooled by the Hilton Name"
I booked the Hotel because I thought "Hilton" was a good name in hotels. I paid a lot more money to stay in this hotel than another well known hotel chain down the road, because it was my wedding anniversary, and I wanted the night to be special. The in room facilities were not good, i.e. broken shower and tea/coffee were bare minimum. I have never […] slept in a more uncomfortable bed ever. My wife and I were up by 5 a.m. because we couldn't get comfortable, and I had a bad back for 2 days after. My 10 year wedding anniversary turned into a very expensive disaster. For us it was a stop over moving from one part of England to another. Very close to the M20. The hotel was very good.

I was very surprised that a Hilton Hotel did not have air conditioning in the rooms. We were offered a fan and told that it was not usually that hot. The restaurant closed quite early for dinner, but a limited menu was available in the bar. The rooms were quite large and the bathroom was modern and user friendly.

Just off the motorway, didn't have to spend time trying to find it, which after a 6 hour drive was very welcome. Excellent hotel, everything we expected. Didn't eat in the hotel , but the bar service, including very good coffee, was just what was required after a long day.

Was given a Disabled Romm on the Ground floor which was very nice with a door opening to the Garden. Only problem was that there was no air conditioning and no windows to open at night

Conference type hotel. Did as was expected. Breakfast not included and really a bit expensive if I had gone for it. Otherwise all clean and acceptable. Quite noisy traffic in the room from early morning until fairly late.

the hotel in itself is what one expects from a Hilton hotel; so all in order and no complaints in that area but for the layer of greasy dirt on the seat of the steam room. We had booked this hotel because of its pool and gym. Our adolescent son traveled with us and was looking forward to a few work-outs and dips in the pool. We arrived at 6.15pm in […] the pool/gym area all 'dressed up' , only to hear we were 15 minutes late: our son was not yet 16 and children are not allowed in after 6pm., which had not been mentioned on the web site. So we decided to work-out and let the pool for what it was: wrong again: our 6ft tall son was not even allowed near the equipment.... no children allowed, not under parental supervision not at any time!... The manager of the hotel told me our son had to arrive at the pool before 6pm to gain access and would then not be kicked out. Wrong again! We came back next day before 6pm but our son was told at 6.15 to please leave with all other children. For a self-conscient adolescent to be told to leave with all other infants and toddlers is pretty devastating. So we booked this hotel for its amenties but we were hardly able to use them. "Comfortable!"
My boyfriend and I stayed here as it was the perfect location for visiting Leeds Castle. It is a 5 minute walk away from a lovely chinese restaurant and a little shopping village. The hotel itself was nice and comfortable but rooms looking very dated now and the walls in the corridors made it look so old and so could do with a lick of paint. The worst thing about this hotel is the prices they think they can charge, I know hotels generally are expensive to eat or drink in but £17.00 each for a breakfast is slightly over the top, and £7.70 for two coffees! "Exactly what you would expect from a Hilton Hotel at a great price"
We used this Hotel as a base for travelling to France. It is in a great position close enough to the Ferry port at Dover of the Euro tunnel at Ashford. The staf were all very warm and friendly as well as being very professional as you would expect. The food we had was good quality and well cooked. The room was very spacious and had 2 king sized beds […] with a large bathroom and excellent shower. "Very happy"
The hotel was very nice. Check in was quick and friendly, the room was lovely. Had a drink in the bar which had a comfortable setting, with the cricket being shown on the tv (on mute). Shower in the room was fantastic and breakfast the following morning was plentiful, tasty and cooked well. "Dissapointed"
The hotel room was nice and clean, and the facilities (particularly the health club) were great. I was really disappointed by the restaurant, however. The waiting staff can be overheard bickering, and took some time in attending our table to take an order..... and then were interrupted no fewer than 5 times by different staff asking if everything […] was OK.... I paid £15 for breakfast in the morning, and the cooked food was cold, particularly the eggs. I'm not impressed. More worryingly was the amount of time taken to clear away food trays in corridors after room service. Trays of left-overs are left in corridors for hours and hours without being collected, so our corridors stank of leftover curry for much of Friday and Saturday. Very poor VFM. I'm not coming back. Zimmer war super groß, sauber, modern - einfach perfekt. Zum Frühstückbuffet kann ich nur sagen - besser gehts nicht mehr - vom frischen Obst bis zur selbstgemachten Waffel - alles was das Herz begeht. Der hauseigene Wellnessbereich war auch sehr schön und sauber. Wir würden jederzeit wieder buchen!!!

Abgesehen von den vollen Mülleimern vor dem Eingangsbereich, die Tage nicht geleert wurden, waren wir ganz zufrieden. Großer Parkplatz, war wichtig weil Anhänger dabei. Den Poolbereich haben wir leider nicht genutzt,keine Zeit. Das Servicepersonal könnte besser geschult sein. Rezeption freundlich, aber kaum zu verstehen. Und mein Mann ist selbst Engländer!. "Parfait comme arret apres l'Eurotunnel"
On ne peut pas réver mieux comme arrêt après une longue route. Hotel très calme et en plus le petit déjeuner était inclus. L'année prochaine je reviendrais meme si c'est plus cher et j'irais à la piscine
