"Ok...but nothing special."
The location was great. You are 15 min. or less from everything. There are fast food places around you. Again...location was great. However, we I arrived to check in, the front desk person (no names) simply stared and turned his head at me to acknowledge me. No "Hello", " Can I help you","Welcome to Best Western, my name is." NOTHING...just stared until […] I spoke. There were other front desk employees who very polite and helpful. But unfortunately, he made the first impression and it stuck. The bed we had was wrapped in a plastic cover that sounded like you were sleeping on a balloon. We could not sleep due to the noise it made. I recently stayed at a different hotel and it was a much better experience. So, take what you want from this but I will more than likely check out other hotels in the area before I stay here again. "good location for price, but needs some upgrading"
Location is good, easy access by car to the Charleston downtown. Rooms are big and dark. Looks like rooms are equipped in late 90s last century e.g. air conditioning system very primitive. I got a feeling that the hotel needs some refurbishing. Overall, a reasonable deal for the price, but nothing more.
The staff was friendly, room was clean, breakfast was good, I would recommend hotel to anyone visiting Charleston!

It was very nice. Me and my girlfriend stayed the night. Then we woke up and went to sullivan's island and spent the day laying out and enjoying each others company.

First room was not very clean and smelled bad. We were moved to a bigger room thanks to the staff and the rest of the stay was great. Location is hard to beat, right between downtown and the beaches. Lots of fine dinning and friendly staff.

I was pleasantly surprised when we arrived at the Best Western Patriot's Point. It is conveniently located just across the bridge from downtown Charleston. There is currently a lot of construction on the road leading to the hotel but from Charleston, you can avoid that part of the highway since it is just off the bridge. My only complaint was that we arrived in Charleston at 9 am from a 6 am flight from New York. I called when we arrived and were told we could not check in until 3 pm. We did some sightseeing and then we went to the hotel just before 3 really hoping to get into our rooms. We were told it was still not ready but we could wait in the lobby. Although other people were able to check in, we had to wait another 25 - 30 minutes to actually get into our room. The room was small and basic but clean and comfortable. We were able to get a fridge and the room came with lots of towels plus shampoo and conditioner (always a plus for me). The free breakfast was nice and included "make your own" waffles and sausage gravy and biscuits but we got there close to the end on the first day and they had run out of these options. We got there earlier the next day and enjoyed the food. All of the staff was friendly and helpful. When our TV broke, they were able to come and fix it immediately. We did have some issues with the water temperature in our room but nothing too problematic. The pool was small and could be a bit cleaner but the sitting area around the pool was quite nice with trees and tables/chairs. great access to local venues. Decent breakfast although crowed. Staff was friendly. Room was a bit tight, however met our needs. My only true complaint would be the noisey beds. Seems like it may have been the mattress liners. Every time I rolled over, it sounded like crinkling plastic. Mattress was too firm for my taste.

Excellent experience, good neighbourhood, 10 minutes from downtown Charleston across bridge, excellent breakfast, reasonable price, will stay here again.

"Best Western - Patriots Point- Close to it all."
The hotel's location was great, right at the foot of the bridge so you are close to both downtown & the Yorktown, etc. Staff was very pleasant, courteous and helpful. The breakfast was good too. I have stayed in $250 per night hotels and they weren't any better than this one.

Nice, mid priced hotel. Only a few minutes from downtown and near really great restaurants and nightspots. Easy to get into and out of with two main highways within a couple of blocks but still quiet. Staff was great.
Very competent and friendly staff on hand. Fresh, hot cookies at night in lobby and an OK breakfast-lite. The place was very quiet during our 3-night mid-week stay. Lots of good restaurants close by. Hallways reminded us of the olden days of smoking. Bathroom was tiny and cramped - like in Europe. But, all in all, about right for the price. When we went to our room the AC was blowing out warm air. I called the front desk. They sent a maintenence man and he confirmed it was toasted. The manager immediately called me on the room phone and had arranged a larger room for a reduced rate. How can you complain about that. They also brought us a fridge and a microwave for free. "PATRIOTS POINT, MT PLEASANT, SC"
LOCATION AND HOTEL ITSELF WAS GREAT. ONLY PROBLEM WAS OUR NEIGHBORS ACROSS THE HALL APPARENTLY THOUGHT THEY HAD THE WHOLE 2ND FLOOR TO THEMSELVES. I HAD TO CALL THEM DOWN TWICE IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT, NO LESS..... SIMPLY DISRESPECTFUL, RUDE PEOPLE BOTH CHILDREN AND ADULTS, BUT THOSE TYPES ARE ANYWHERE AND EVERYWHERE...

"The Best Western Patriots Points-Great Location"
This is a nice hotel. We visited the USS Yorktown and the Best Western was very close to it. It also doesn't take long to travel across the bridge to everything in Charleston. The only downside to this hotel is the very small breakfast area. It was very crowded on our visit so it wasn't easy to navigate and get your food.

"Best Western at Patriots Point - Great Value"
My stay was from July 8th through July 10th. I was able to reserve a room with ease through Hotels.com. Checking in was a breeze. The information pulled up fine, and my hotel room was ready. The room itself was clean and had everything we need. Cons: One complaint is that the pillows were more of a cube shape. Not the biggest of gripes, but sleeping […] on them was somewhat awkward. The refrigerator in our room was not working either. It wasn't a big deal to us, but it might be of concern to others. I'm sure they would have fixed it right away if it were a big problem. The pool seemed a little small, but our main focus was the beach. My biggest grip, and probably only real complaint is that there was a hint of cigarette smoke in the air on my last night. Pros: The price was the main reason why we chose this hotel. It was easily $100-150+ cheaper than other hotels in the vicinity, especially in Charleston and/or Isle of Palms beach. The location was also great. It was right off of 17 by the new Cooper River bridge. Driving into Charleston was an easy 5-10m drive. Going the other way towards Isle of Palms beach was just as easy. Access to and from the hotel were easy. A gas station within walking distance was also very convenient. There was a complimentary breakfast that was included in the price; however, there was no bacon (I love bacon!) You could make your own fresh waffles, and the biscuits and gravy was good. They also had plenty of juice, bagels, toast, cereal, etc. In conclusion, Best Western at Patriots Point was a great deal in a great location. The key here is to go in with a no-frills mentality and a focus on exploring Charleston. Only problem....we LOVE coffee and only one packet in the room. Front Desk couldn't help as there wasn't any in reserve. Also, housekeeping forgot to leave extra T.P. But these were minor things. Location and staff were very good as was the rate. We plan on going many times more in the future!

We only stayed one night. The front desk person was very friendly and professional. We were allowed to leave our car when we took a cruise and they were very accommodating.

I was staying one night and for one night the room was fine and clean. Overall the room was worn, cramped and tired and staying for more than one night wouldn't be comforting. The staff was friendly however. I cannot speak to the breakfast as I did not partake.

THE HOTEL WAS GOOD,IN A GOOD LOCATION,GOOD NEIGHBORHOOD,AND WAS QUIET. MY ROOM WAS A LITTLE SMALL AND A SMOKING ROOM WHICH HAD KINDA OF A SMELL BUT SMOKING STINKS ANYWAY.THE ROOM WAS VERY CLEAN AND THE STAFF WERE VERY NICE. OVERALL I WOULD STAY THERE AGAIN.
