Best Western Plus Inn of Hayward - Hayward

Not many restaurants in the area. Only reason I stayed is that it was right off the freeway. I would not stay here again.

The location is really the only plus I can find here. The rest was so-so. My complaints are about little things, like no box of tissues in the room. And while I was eating my free breakfast, the cleaning lady who was in charge of the breakfast felt the need to sweep next to me for 75% of the time that I was eating - like high intensity rug sweeping. […] It was fairly disgusting and unprofessional. the lady in front office could of be specfic about where the breakfast lounge was i didn't like the idea having to get outside to take the elevator down to 1 floor and haveing to use my room card to get through the 1 floor door breakfast lounge was small not a whole lot of choices either

I'm a international traveler. Decent rates for pricey area. Waffles, eggs, and sausage patties w assorted muffins, cereals etc make the breakfast pretty good. Comfy beds, fridge, microwave, and ironing board. What else could you want? If you want a solid, clean comfortable room, look nowhere else. All is good once again, we stay here for work.

Nothing special from the room to the service. The wireless connection was very spotty and you lost connection every couple of minutes. I finally gave up and used my 3G on my iPhone. Then I had no issues; but why advertise free WIFI when it not dependable? The breakfast items were generic and not one item stood out. I took several apples with me and […] skipped the rest. Got there late and there was no jetted tub as advertised on hotels.com and the air didn't work so we had to change rooms. Only the kind bed rooms have a jacuzzi tub. They need to get their details straight

Best Western Hayward was a good bargain. Location was fair but room and service were good. Breakfast was a plus. Nice and polite employees.

Overall the room looked good. But I got my feet poked by staples on the floor and in the morning I noticed that the bed sheet had gum stuck on them. Not a good feeling.

I needed to stay here for business travel. The room was comfortable enough and the complimentary breakfast was quite nice, both hot and cold items. It does not seem like this property is in the best part of town, however, I did not feel like it was not safe. All in all, not a bad place to stay, but I have been in better properties for business.

I had pre-booked with Hotels.com. Prepaid for a non-smoking king room. Upon attempt to check in at 9:30 pm, I was told that a nonsmoking room was not available and that even though I had already purchased the room, it was my responsibility to confirm by 4 pm the day of check in. After I insisted that I had already paid and booked a room, another room […] was finally made available, though very grudgingly that I was creating too many problems. This was my first time ever to California. I wanted a hotel that was dead middle of everywhere I was gonna be but also very close to the airport. This hotel made all those amenities possible. PROS about the hotel- After being awoken at 6:30 AM to an unexpected/unwanted call, I went down stairs to request no more calls. They left a note for all others […] on shift and no more calls were sent to my room. I left the Do Not Disturb sign out for my 6 day 5 night stay and they left my room alone. I never went into the pool but I did watch them clean it. CONS about the hotel- When I got into my room, I went to the bathroom and noticed that there was a turd floating in it. had to flush the toilet 2 times every time the toilet was used due to this finding. Very nice stay. You could hear cars from the nearby highway but the walls were well insulated so it wasn't loud. Continental breakfast had decent food with plenty of options.

When I first arrived I noticed that this hotel was conveniently near the 880fwy. When I first got in my rm. I found a pair of panties and a bra in one of the droors. The hotel staff apologize for that. There's a slim lady incharge of the b-fast bar who is not very friendly. I stayed in this hotel for 3 weeks and 2 days before I left they decided to […] upgrade their cable. First 2 weeks were rough; no ESPN!! Hotel is nice and clean, But the neighborhood isn't the greatest. VERY loud next to the freeway. If you don't mind hearing gun shot and sirens all night.

stuff stuck on the horizontal surfaces dust on top of TV center need to be vacuumed badly

I've stayed at this hotel several times. The rooms are decent in size and there is a regular desk to work on. The free wireless internet worked almost 100% of the time, only slowing down considerably on occassion. The hotel location is right off I-880 and surrounding communites are very accessable by car in only a few minutes. There is traffic noise. […] The continental breakfast isn't worth the time to go. The stay was comfortable, but could have been a lil cheaper. I liked that it was right next to the I-880 freeway. I liked having a fridge and microwave. Bathroom was a lil small and the tub drained a lil slow. I would have like to have had more pillows on the bed. Overall it was comfy and convenient.

This hotel is clean and comfortable. The employees are most courteous and the breakfast is of good quality having regard to the fact that it is free. I think the management should focus their attention on proper maintenance of each room. In the case of Room 133 where I stayed, the faucet had to be replaced so that I can get hot water for washing my […] face. The outflow of water from the toilet and the hand washing basin was too slow, an indication that both were partially blocked. I had the king standard, it was roomy with a lounge chair & a small desk. The room was very clean with a microwave & fridge. The pool area was small but very nice & clean. My only complaints are the traffic noise & the tiny awkward bathroom.

All of the front desk staff were very kind and courteous. The housekeepers had a very friendly attitude and were very helpful. Our room was very clean, the pool was maintained and the atmosphere of the breakfast room was very comforting. My only complaint (and it's pretty minor) is that the sink was slow to drain. My wife and I were 20 minutes late leaving the room and the maids never came back to clean the room, make the bed or provide us with fresh towels.

I was surprised at the breakfast that was served at this hotel, being a 2.5 start hotel. Make-your-own waffles, egg & sausage mcmuffins, toast, muffins, instant oatmeal, cereal, fruit, milk, juices, coffee, tea, hot chocolate. The carpet didn't seem to have been very clean - at the end of the night my socks were pretty dirty. Also, I slipped and almost fell when they were mopping the floor outside of my room and the wet floor sign was too far away for me to notice it. The location was in a rough part of town. Room was very noisy next to interstate but we expected that. The problem was the refridgerator didn't work in the room, ice machine was out of order. Refridgerator critical because of our refridgerated medicine requirement. Easy to locate. Once there the toilet overflowed. Flooded bathroom and part of carpet. After calling front desk they told me to come and get the plunger? So, I went to retrieve the plumber and threw a big fit about why I had to try and fix the problem. Needless to say they sent out their maintanance guy to fix. Ice machine on floor we were staying at was not working...jacuzzi was dirty...stayed in a non-smoking room, but there was the smell of someone constantly smoking in our room...otherwise everything else was fine.
