"Gone down hill"
I have used this hotel once a year, for five years. My husband and I were shocked at how it had become a bit shabby in the last year. Our arrival was at 7:30. We and another guest tried to rouse someone to the front desk and the "dial O" number was busy. When she called via her cell-phone, the call connected to someone in the back room. This was our first stay in a La Quinta Inn. We have tried several other hotels in the same area and this was our most comfortable stay. Room was clean and spacious, beds were comfy and enough pillow. When we arrived desk staff was very helpful and friendly. The room was very nice and at our age it was great to have an elevator. The room was very quiet and peaceful, with no traffic noise that my wife or I could detect even though we were relatively close to the freeway. Breakfast was great including scrabbled eggs, sausage, buscuits and gravy, waffles, […] cereal, cranberry, orange and I believe apple juice. Also had bagles. We really appreciated breakfast. It gave a great variety and saved us at least $20.00 a day because we didn't have to purchase breakfast for our family. We also loved the fact we could bring our pet and not pay an extra fee. This is the third time I used La Quinta and they never disappoint me. Staff is extremely helpful and friendly, breakfast is great, room is spacious and comfy, they even provide complimentary laundry - what else you could ask for!
