Hotellissa The Sebel Playford Adelaide on uima-allas sisällä, poreallas ja sauna. Nopea langallinen Internet-yhteys on käytettävissä yleisillä alueilla (maksullinen palvelu). Tämän 5-tähden hotellin liiketoiminnan palveluihin sisältyvät liiketoimintakeskus, kokoushuoneet pienille ryhmille ja AV-laitteet. We enjoyed our stay at the Sebel Playford and were particularly impressed with the friendly welcome we received at Reception, given the lateness of our arrival. Everyone was very helpful and able to give local advice as to localities, events and transport. We'll stay again!

The Sebel Playford is well located if you want to go to the Casino, catch a tram to the markets or Geelong, or for the main railway station, but is a fair hike from the restaurant strip at the East Terrace end of Rundle Mall. "NICE HOTEL, PROBABLY SHOULD BE 4 STAR"
Nice place. Has everything a five start hotel should have, but it just lacks the feel of a five start hotel. The Greek concierge, Kerrie, was just great and made the stay memorable. He was fun, remembered our names and the kids loved him.

Enjoyed it in every way. Only points of irritation was that the concierge was cagey about good restaurants in the area only really mentioning the in house hotel. When pressed he gave the name of some streets that had a high concentration of restaurants.

Great accommodation, excellent location, however we wanted to have dinner in the restaurant and were told that they were very heavily booked and we would have to wait at least half an hour. We decided to eat in the adjacent bar and observed many empty tables in the restaurant for at least the next hour and a half. Great location to explore Adelaide downtown. Good restaurants within 5 minutes walk of hotel on Leigh Street, great walk along river to botanic gardens,10 minutes walk to museum and art gallery, and Rundle mall the main shopping precinct. "Sebel Playfair"
I have struggled with finding "my kind" of Hotel in Adelaide for years. After a lot of research I thought I'd give the Sebel a go. The entry is lovely. I hope the Art Nouveau touches are original (couldn't find any hotel history to check) but the metal work is stunning. Staff very friendly and welcoming. Check in smooth and quick. Then you're on your […] own. Find your own way to your room. Got bags? Your problem. I was upgraded to Suite 101. Very large. No outlook but not that surprising given it's location. Unusual layout with the large bathroom off the lounge rather than the bedroom but it's an old building. Two large chairs - no sofa. Very comfy bed. Little kitchenette. Open the cupboard under the sink to find a few bits of cutlery in a plastic tray on the floor. Food. Ate in both nights. Wish I hadn't. First was a Surf and Turf. Should have read it better. Actually a massive hamburger with some very strange tasting stuff in it. Maybe the crab? Horrible chips. Seemed like supermarket stuff. Second night was Club sandwich. Again enormous (is this a SA thing?) but supported by bread that was soggy and horrible Same chips. Couldn't finish it. Need to say the room service girl was very nice - it's not her fault. But the kitchen needs to pay attention. Breakfast was much better with a very good Bircher muesli. Seemed odd to have to pay separately for a cappuccino. So there's something not quite right about the Sebel. It's close but just not there yet. Our regular haunt in Melbourne and a recent stay in a new place in Perth show that it can be done right. And there's fantastic, similarly positioned places in Chicago, Toronto, Santa Monica and London that show how to do it. I'd probably stay at the Sebel again but it says more about the rest of Adelaide. And the stunning metalwork. And I'd leave time for the Concierge to explain his amazing label badge collection.
