Our stay was wonderful and very memorable. We loved being in Ottawa and certainly will return this year again. There were just a few defects in our room, such as the hot water tap was not properly tied, so it was twisting around ( I tied it with hand, so we could actually turn off the water ), and the ceiling paint was pealing just above the bath tub. […] Other than that, our room was neat, very comfortable and right in the centre of the city. We shall choose your hotel for our next visit and will be advising to friends and family to spend some time there too, during their time in Ottawa. Keep up the good work!!! Lisätietoja

Parking is a little out of the way about 1 block from the hotel but was only 25 dollars for the weekend with in and out privelages

It's like staying at a Holiday Inn. Perfectly fine, nothing special. Good price.

A great location close to shopping and attractions. Room carpets need to be steam cleaned. Very friendly and helpful staff.

one night stay in that Hotel in down town Ottawa, make me think that the hotel have potential to offer more information for guests other than poor facilites they provide. Hotel do not have a parking and they asked me as new comer to the Ottawa to park your car in the parking lot they can have maps showing where is the parking lot and I understand after […] i check out that they will take care of the car not me. My mother stayed at this hotel, the only two things that were disappointing was the fact she had to wait for her room to be ready. She traveled by bus for 8 hrs redeye and had to wait for 2.5 hrs before she had a room, even when the room was paid for already. The restaurant next to the hotel was just as disappointing, the service she received was nothing, […] wait time for a glass of water was 30 mins, wait time to get service was another 30 mins. The hotel was nice but a major downfall is there is NO parking. And they charge you a minimum of 14 dollars per day.

Our room was comfortable for a 1 night stay . The washroom was clean and the kitchenette with the stove, Microwave and fridge was very convenient. The staff was cooperative and helpful in all enquiries. the surroundings were good and convenient as I could travel downtown even by walking if I chose. I didnt like the fact that it had snowed the morning […] of our visit and the snow was still being plowed off the street. The cleanliness of the room and the quality of hotel service and room amenities were excellent for the price that I paid! The front-desk lady was particularly helpful in directing me on a short-cut to get to the Rideau Centre/Byward Market on foot. the desk servive is not enough like i ask them where to rent car they said they have on such serivce.

I was very pleased with this hotel. It had a fridge, microwave, stove, and all the amenities. Our request for extra towels were met promptly. I rate this one higher than the Novotel in Montreal I stayed in 3 months ago. Don't let the star rating fool you, this was 3.5 star all the way. The only complaint was that I could hear noisy children in the room […] across from me while in my room. This was not the hotel's fault but I had to play some music to drown out the noise. When I made my reservation it was for a King Size Suite, when I entered my room I was met with two double beds. When I enquired at the desk I was told that that was all that was available. When I pay for something I expect to receive what I am paying for. There was a party going on somewhere in the neighborhood and we could hear the noise in our room […] on the 5th floor with the windows closed. For the price I paid, I got what I paid for. The girl at the desk (Kyla) went above and beyond for us with what ever she could. Parking was a big problem there. To park at the hotel was expensive but they had free parking on the street. Being downtown, it was hard to find a spot to park sometimes. Overall, you get what you pay for. Exactly as advertised, comfortable beds, two bedrooms, living, kitchen, very good size.

Clean, comfy, good location for a very cheap price. Kitchen in rooms and lots of living space so you can keep costs down by cooking if you don't want to go to a restaurant. Helpful staff too.

Great hotel that was very clean a d very well priced. Right in the heart of downtown, 2 minute walk to the Rideau canal. Our room was very spacious and comfortable. Front desk very helpful and at no e tar charge let us Check out later. The kitchenette requires more cutlery and plates etc.

Recently several of my family members got together and went to Ottawa for some fun and shopping. We found the hotel room to be just what we needed. After a day of traveling and shopping we all needed some downtime. The room was a suite and gave us ample space and comfort. We all agreed this was a great way to go and priced to afford. There was dishes and pots and pans for any one needing a long stay. The only advice I would give is to have extra dishes there, as there was only set of 3 and we needed 5 coffee cups. The room we stayed in was much larger than expected. There was a kitchen, living room, and two bedrooms each with king-sized beds and flat screen TVs. It felt like we had rented an apartment for the weekend. The location was right off Elgin Street, which was very close to many bars and restaurants. It was about a 15 minute walk to the Byward Market […] area. It wasn't a fancy looking place but it was very comfortable. I liked the idea of an apartment setup, we're not big spenders and like to prepare our own meals even when we're away from home, as much as possible. The place was clean enough, we are not super fussy, but it didn't shine either. Location is excellent, room and services as well. Value of mony is worth I probably recommend the hotel but warn them about the thin walls. The room sound proofing is below grade. You can hear noises next door and along the corridor.

Excellent location ! Nice Rooms. Would have like to know that there was no maid service (clean towels - make beds etc). Was supplied with 1 coffee package for 3 days. Toilet was absolutely filthy upon arrival - recommendation...bring clorox wipes to clean the toilets when you arrive. Requested linen for hide a bed (we were 3.. 2 adults - 1 child). Received […] sheets...had to go back to front desk and request a blanket. Guests were putting bags of garbage in the hall for pick up. Front desk staff - Polite but not very knowledgeable. Despite the fact that Hotel.com said parking was plentiful, had to park at city hall first night - Front desk did not know they needed to validate parking which meant we could not leave parking area without either paying $25 or option chosen...leave car and run back to hotel for validating then back again to parking garage - ANNOYING. Parking at Hotel is $14/night. If hotel sends you to park at city hall, they charge $14+tax = $18 on your bill then you pay tax on the $18. Verify parking charges. $14 is not what was quoted on Hotel.com. When we left, there was a sign in the parking lot stating $12/night Door off parking lot - IS NOT LOCKED -anyone can walk in. Overall - liked the room, very spacious - separate bedroom / living room & kitchen area with stove-fridge and microwave. Will go back but will be prepared to clean and bring extra towels and linen because it takes so long to have it brought to the room. Parking - will go to public lot at the corner - closer than hotel parking and cheaper. Location is outstanding! Close to everything. We were in town to attend a wedding. Our room was ready early so we were able to check in early. The only drawback was the lack of parking. The money I saved on the hotel went to pay for parking because there wasn't any available on the street and we had to use the public parking lot. Pretty sweet location. You can walk to just about anywhere you want to go. Good pubs and restaurants are nearby.

it is an acceptable hotel, in fact, it uses an old apartment and converts it to a hotel. Therefore, each unit is a suite with a bedroom, and a living room. A Full Kitchen is available. the building is old, and the hotel has not really renovated the building, but the carpet or walls being painted. i can testify that the washroom has been upgraded and […] the shower, tiles, floor and faucets are all like new. the mattresses are terribly soft, so i got back aches from it for the whole 2 days of staying in there. the Aspirins did the job though. In terms of location, it is top notch. it is just 200 yards from the main street Elgin where all the restaurants are located. you can find any type of food three, including Montreal's Dunn's smoked meat. Falafel is the standard fast food in Ottawa and you can be rest assured to find one on the street. There are lots of pubs, italian restaurants. All have their menus listed at the front doors and i find that their prices are no more expensive than any big cities. It is within walkable distance to the parliament. To go to other museums, you will need to drive. Nonetheless, they have in and out privilege for the parking lot if you pay $14 a day for using the hotel parking lot. If they run out of space, you can park your car in the parking lot of the City hall whcih is just located half a block east of the hotel. yo ualso pay just $14 for the city hall parking lot. The hotel is not upscale, 2-1/2 stars is bang on, but its location is truly worth considering if one does not care much about the soft mattresses. This hotel was conveniently located close enough to downtown. I was very impressed by the friendliness of staff, and size of the room. The room itself was far larger than I imagined and could have accommodated a longer stay without compromising comfort or breaking the bank. I plan to return to this hotel the next time I am in Ottawa.

Extended Stay on Cooper Street in Downtown Ottawa is a great location. I really appreciated the convenience of being walking distance from everything - from Little Italy to Concordia University. We had a great stay- liked the layout of the suite. The one issue is if you get a room facing the other side of the entrance. There is a huge construction site behind the hotel and they start early at 7.00 am. If you need to sleep in, this is inconvenient. Very convenient location, just off Elgin Street in Ottawa. Close to everything, including pubs and restaurants. Reasonable rate and one of the few hotels we could find offering king-size bed. Unfortunately, with it being an older building, they don't seem to be able to do anything about the strong and extremely unpleasant odour of smoke from the days […] before non-smoking rooms became the norm. Bathroom was too small. Kitchen had very few utensils. Oven was dirty. Beds were hard and pillows did not have any fluff. Hence, very uncomfortable to sleep on. Room was stuffy and ventilation didn't work well. Could have got a 4-star hotel with breakfast for that price. Not recommended. Our stay was pleasant. The lady at reception was excellent - our room was not as we desired. Upon request for change, she upgraded the room immediately.
