Stayed for 5 nights in July and had a wonderful stay. The hotel is near to the French Quarters and other sights, you can walk everywhere. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I will definitively stay here again. =)

On arrival we were met by a very friendly person on the front desk who gave us some really excellent advice about places to go and where the best music was (not on Bourbon Street). Valet parking was quite expensive but to be honest it was cheaper and less hassle than the other options in the area and was convenient for us. It was about 25 dollars a day but i can't remember exactly. It was a little disappointing that although i knew the price did not include breakfast, the hotel could not offer any "pay for" breakfast. One other small annoyance was that our room did not include a refrigerator. We did ask for one to be placed (only once) and were told that it would be, unfortunately it never was. Overall though i would say that i was quite happy with the overall experience, it was very nice to stay in this kind of old New Orleans style building.

Good location. Walking distance to French Quarters and Missisippi boardwalk. Good breakfast and generous free happy hour service. Rooms ok, although on the smaller side.

Erittäin tyytyväinen. Hotellissa näkyy perinteikäs tapa palvella asiakasta tinkimättömällä kunnioituksella ja palvelualttiudella, joka ei kuitenkaan tuntunut epäluonnolliselta imartelulta. "Not clean"
The bed linens were stained and the carpets wet. The room was not very clean. Location is great but the 3 floor guest check-in was confusing. Front desk personel were not very engaging. Valets were very good. I would not stay here again.

When checking in, they asked if we wanted a higher floor or lower floor, which was nice. We chose higher, got 9th floor and could see the MS River from our room. The room was so pretty and comfortable. Our only complaint, if you want to call it that, is that all the hallways and public spaces were freezing cold! I don't understand the reason for this. As expected a high end hotel located on Canal Street within stumbling distance from Bourbon Street and the French Quarter. I've personally verified this. Great food in the hotel and a friendly bar with live entertainment that is popular with the locals also. Hospitality team is top notch and friendly. Right outside of the hotel are the street cars to take a leisurely tour of the Garden District down St. Charles (recommended) and the upscale side of town. For a Ritz, I would have expected more. No doorman most of the time (sign of the times?), no slippers in rooms, ice bucket not filled during turndown service and ice machine on floor broken, final bill was incorrect, maintenance man walking around woman's changeroom in award winning(?) spa. The Ritz Carlton New Orleans exceeded my expectations. The entire staff from the receptionist to the waitresses were phenomenal. Every need was met no matter what time of day it was. For this, I would recommend this hotel if quality is what you are looking for. I will definitely return everytime iam in New Orleans.

"You cannot find better service"
There are no words to describe the level of service one receives when staying on the Ritz Carlton club level. Everyone goes above and beyond for you, the rooms are immaculate, and there are complimentary food and drink options throughout the day. Club level guests are sectioned off from the rest of the hotel so it really is like having the place to […] yourself. Best news - you do not have to break the bank in order to stay at this level. "Service was Amazing"
Michael at the front desk really made us feel at home and went out of his way to customize a map of the city to ensure we got to experience everything we wanted. There are many hotels you can stay at that have the luxury and quality of the Ritz but what sets it apart is service like this. Can't wait to return.

i've never had a worse experience staying at a hotel before, never minding it is supposed to be a 4 1/2 star hotel! the rooms were all ratty and in much need of a renovation. the walls are super thin so you can hear EVERYTHING from the next room. Absolutely flawless and wonderful. The Executive Suite was refined and understated but elegant. Service was impeccable, from check in to baggage service. The level of service and attention M Bistro was truly amazing. A wonderful stay.

I found the Ritz Carleton, New Orleans, to be far below standards in the level of customer service one expects from the Ritz. Management and concierge alike were unattentive and in one case clearly rude. Varied requests from "Do not disturb" to "turn down service" were ignored. The hotel itself was tired looking, the edges of the entry steps were chipped, […] the paint on my door frame was chipped, there was mystery mold/stain on the wall of the bathroom, I found empty beer cans in the elevator lobby on more than one occassion. One of these could be excused, but so many just points to plain sloppiness. Checkout was sloppy, with the receptionist initially overcharging me, then trying to ammend the mistake by further overcharging. I note that management rectified the billing, but only several hours later. The Ritz strives to be a tier one five-star, but altogether falls far short of the mark. Lisätietoja

Hotel Staff were extremly friendly & helpful ~the linens were heavenly and the entertainment in the lounge was delightful "Jazz" . The Spa was wonderful I left feeling like a Queen .The only negative was I heard street noise/city movement on seventh floor (however I understand there was a big festival in the quarter that weekend )

Great Hotel except for the quality of the food from room service. First item I had was too salty to eat, so I sent it back and second item was just O.K. Everything else was great!
THIS WAS THE WORST SERVICE EVER FROM THE RITZ-CARLTON NEW ORLEANS. WHEN WE ARRIVED AT THE HOTEL THEY PUT US ON A FLOOR WITH A VIEW OF THE WALL AND WET CARPET! THEN WHEN ASKED TO BE MOVED TO A NEW ROOM TOLD US NO AND I HAD TO DEMAND IT TO GET IT!!( NOT TO MENTION THE UNANNOUNCED DEPOSIT OF 400 DOLLARS) WHEN WE ARRIVE TO THE OTHER ROOM BY THE NEXT 24HRS […] WE DISCOVERED WE WERE IN A ROOM WHERE THE AIR CONDITONIG WORKED BUT THE HEAT DID NOT, THE HAIR DRYER WAS BROKEN, THE IRON, THE IRONING BOARD, THE TV HAD A BUZZING SOUND. WE CALLED FOR TECHS TO COME FIX THE HEATER, THEY CAME, THEY TINKERED WITH IT, SAID IT WAS FIXED AND LEFT. HEATER STILL DID NOT WORK. PAID FOR INTERNET SERVICE AND THAT WAS SUPPOSED TO BE FOR 24HRS, THAT CUT OFF IN A COUPLE OF HRS LATER. AND OF COURSE THE BEST FOR LAST... TRIED TO CHARGE 175 DOLLARS FOR A FEE I DID NOT DO!!! "Great Hotel - But Too Much Noise"
The Ritz standard to which I had come to expect was one where you could eat, drink, have a meeting in a quiet atmosphere. This Ritz had a loud band playing in the lounge which was right in the restauarant area. We left and had dinner elsewhere.

This hotel is truly exquisite. My family and I really enjoyed the room, the service and all the ammenities offered. It was truly everything I expected from The Ritz and more. All of the staff was very helpful and friendly. The Spa and all that it offers was worth every penny, that place was truly the best.
