I have never been more disappointed in a Motel in my 67 years of life. These are the issues I confronted: The Parking lot was flooded, the room reeked of mildew, there was actual mold on the bathroom wall, the shower handle pulled completely out of the wall, the toilet was cracked and patched with caulking, the toilet was filthy and unclean able with […] stains, the bath tub glazing was chipped and had rust. If this is a 3 star property then the persons who rated it should pay a re-visit. I could not check out early enough in the morning. I will never stay at a Baymont Inn again if this is typical. The maids neglected to clean our room two of the three nights we were staying over. The door lock to our room only worked after up to six failed attempts to use the keycard. The staff was nice, the breakfast was good. The location was not central to what we were there for, but we made it work. I would stay again though. Oh it had a great view of Six Flags New Oleans from the 4th floor.

Room had visible water damage on ceiling. Phone did not work. No cold water in the morning. Internet service so slow could not print boarding passes.Appeared to be mold growing on walls in bathroom. Hotel may still be suffering from the effects of Hurricane damage.

Cons: This hotel was not what it seems online. The check- in went smoothly; however, entrance to the room was horrible. The room had a funny odor and caused my nose to itch and my sister to sneeze uncontrollably. It seemed there was moisture in the air, so the rooms should have a humidifier installed. Well, when we checked in there was no room number on the door. Then upon entering the room, the room looked as if someone just left out of the room prior to us arriving. There were towels on the floor in the bathroom, the sink was dirty, the bed had not been made, trash cans had not been emptied, and it smelled of smoke. I decided to stay here because it was inexpensive and close to the start of the New Orleans Half Ironman. When I pulled up to check-in and got out of my car, the hotel looked nice but there was a definite smell of 'weed' roaming around the parking lot. I'm guessing it was probably due to it being 4/20? Multiple problems regarding room and facility. Condition of the premises is poor. While the facility and room are not out-dated, hotel cleanliness and room maintenance need major improvement to be considered acceptable.

Lets start with the positive. The bed was fine and the sheets were clean. The room had plenty of space. The nonsmoking room at one time must have been smoking because even though there was a no smoking sign on the door the first thing you smelled was smoke stink. We stayed 2 nights and the 2nd morning we opted out of taking a shower because the water […] only had one temp. HOT there was no cold or cooler or warm. The shower rod was hanging by one screw on each side which made the rod sag and impossible to close the curtain on either side. Breakfast was awful! The attendent was too busy standing in the dirty prep room with the door open leaned over the counter messing on her pink phone. The powdered scrambled eggs were way over watery, sausage was under cooked. The room was full of about 30 people and the biscuts and oatmeal stayed empty. The 4 apples available were shriveled. The only thing that might have been good was the fresh waffles you make yourself but the line was so long I didn't wait. There was nothing for someone who might try and be healthy. Bread, bagles, juice, and coffee. No water was available. Needless to say we picked at our eggs and sausage and decided to eat elsewhere. Overall the hotel was nice. It's right off the interstate and I was afraid we'd hear a lot of traffic noise, but we did not. It was actually very quiet. The room was very clean. Hotel was great. Great hospitality as well. Would stay again. Only downfall, not many restaurants in the area. Cab service was quick but prices were outrageous!

We came to town for the baseball game between UNO and GA State. The French Quarter festival was going on that weekend so there were no reasonably priced hotels near Wesley Barrows stadium or in the French Qtr. Most hotels were booked so this was the only acceptable option without getting a room in Slidell. My husband went to work out and said the equipment was broken or non-functional so he was very disappointed. The rates were higher due to the festival being that weekend so I wouldn't normally pay that kind of price for the below par accomodations but that was our best option without paying $250/night downtown. Also had to wait 10 minutes to check in while the clerk was on the phone even though there was another person on the computer next to her (who never asked if she could help me) and I was the only person at the front desk. Stayed 2 nights. Room ( Hotel ) needs a deep cleaning. Mold in bathroom, bedding dirty when housekeeping came in they didn't even empty the trash or grab the pizza boxes. Thought I was staying at a LaQuinta Inn, but found out when I showed up after a 13 hour drive, that it was taken over by Baymont. I had a small dog, which Baymont did not allow pets, but was nice enough to honor the pet policy from LaQuinta Inn. Overall the people that work there was very nice and helpful. We had a lot of issues with the Hotel. To start with No ice machine on our floor. A minor inconvenience. the Toilet bowl was running and flushing by itself all night, the window has a curtain that covered one third of the space and during the day it was very bright and you could not escape the street lights during the night. So this was my second time staying at this hotel, the first time was a good stay but this second time was not good, although they were working on improving the hotel due to new owners but let me begin by saying when I got my room I opened the door and it was in the middle of being remodeled so I had to return to the desk to get another. Hotels.com must eliminate this LaQuinta because first it has been sold. It is old, needs updating, replacements and Maintenance. Nobody wants it. The beds are Terrible! I think an elephant made my concave mattress! I do give a nod to the staff. They did try to help--but their hands are tied too.

We arrived and the receptionist waited until I was checked in and paid and THEN told me, "Oh, by the way, we don't have any keys so you won't be able to exit and reenter your room without our maintenance man coming down and opening the door for you." Friendly staff, everything as advertised. Only wish there was a heater in the outdoor pool for our stay in January since it was 75 degrees outside with sunshine. Besides that, (I know.... Waahhhh) everything was clean, maintained, and friendly!!!!! Nice place!!!

Complete Fail... Checking in: Staf was rude and treated us like we were bothering them... One of two elevators broken Given a room at eh back of the property where ther was groups of "partiers" smoking and drinking playing music in the parking lot all night. No security - front desk said they would do something about it but it took till 2am! Bathroom […] had mold and towl racks rusted out and loose. Asked for an extra set of towels and were told they were out! In the hall there was a candy life saver that sat next to our dorr for both days we stayewd here. We would not have stayed the second night but they refused to refund us the money due to it being pre-paid. My husband & I stayed at this hotel for new year eve. We requested a room with double b we were lock inside for almost an hour until we to climbed out of the window to go back to front desk to tell the young lady that no one came to open our room door. We was told that they were book and didn't have anymore rooms. Someone came and put 10-40 on the door […] we didn't have time to go to another hotel so we stayed. I also notice that the top linen had several dirty spots. So additional linen was wash and dried this took 2hrs. I requested to see other rooms on the 1st floor. During my viewing they all needed repair. The next morning we went to breakfast at 9:30 am we were told that breakfast would be until 10a.m. but when we got there most of the food was put away. I asked the lady on duty if we could have something to eat so she gave me a bagel and 2 muffins. My husband wanted some waffles after trying twice we had no luck alone with a few other guess because the batter had too much water in it. later 2 guess came into the breakfast room at 10 am and the lady on duty turned the lights off on all of us. Returning to our rooms 2 workers (maids) stood in the hall and wouldn't move. when we got to the our room the door was crack open, curtains open check out time was @12noon. My husband called front desk just to be told they have no way of knowing who checked out so they go into all the rooms and finally around 11am the power when out and when I asked for a manager no one was on duty. The hotel offers good hot breakfast for the price. The rooms are ok but amenities are very limited, like they will only keep 2 towels and 1 soap in the room. The front desk is not very helpful.

I rented the room for the purpose of attempting to get some writing done. However, outside circumstances required my time and attention and I was unable to be at the hotel much. When I did arrive back to the hotel, all the food items that I'd left for me to consume when I returned had been thrown away!! I was extremely impressed with this hotel. I found it through Hotels.com. The rate was really good. I was just looking for a place for my family to stay the night before we left on our cruise ("all we need is a bed"). Well we got a whole lot more. The breakfast was wonderful, beds were comfotable and staff was very friendly.

Convienent location to highway. Very helpful staff. I question if the bedding was dirty or stained- I used my own blanket I had brought. Bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was suprisingly varied and good.
