Hotellin henkilökunta oli mukavaa ja avuliasta. Huoneet olivat siistit mutta wc:n käsienpesu lavuaari ei vetänyt vettä samoin kuin suihkun viemäri. Hotelli sijaitsee todella hyvällä paikkaa kävelykadun päässä ja tavaratalot ovat kadun toisella puolella lähellä.

sijainti oli ainakin meille ideaalinen, koska työmatkan kokoukset sijaitsivat aivan vieressä. aivan vieressä on myös metro asema, ja kävelymatkan sisällä lukuisia ravintoloita yms. hotellin aamiainen oli hyvä, eikä palvelussakaan ollut mitään moitteita. huone oli perustasoa. pikkumiinuksena, hissi toimi huonosti ja jos ei jaksanut odottaa niin porraskäynnit […] olivat kyllä sekaiset ja kulkutiet tosi huonosti merkitty. Hotelli Thon sijaitsee hyvällä paikalla Brysselin keskustassa. Lentoasemalta pääsee kätevästi junalla lähelle hotellia ja ostoskatu Rue Nueve on aivan kadun ylityksen päässä. Metroon pääseen suoraan kun astuu hotellista ulos. Palvelu erittäin hyvää. Runsas aamiainen. Suosittelen lämpimästi.

Erittäin siisti neljän tähden hotelli aivan Rogier-metroaseman vieressä, vain 5-10 min. kävelymatkan päässä Gare du Nord -juna-asemalta, josta pääsee näppärästi paikallisjunalla lentokentälle. Hotellissa on peräti 29 kerrosta, joten sen erottaa helposti. Rogierillä on aivan hotellin lähellä City 2 -ostoskeskus, jonka yläkerrassa on iso kansainvälinen […] Fnac-kirjakauppa. Typical Thon no frills hotel rooms. Metro on the other side of the road, ok free gym and okish sauna. Reception downstairs from street level. Don't expect to get anything more than what you pay for at Thon. Ok for 1 night.

Hyvällä paikalla sijaitseva laadukas, mutta (ainakin vierailumme aikaan) hinnoiltaan edullinen hotelli. Hotellin tiloihin ja palvelun tasoon olimme erittäin tyytyväisiä. Tyytyväisyyteemme vaikutti tosin sekin, että varauksestamme poiketen meidät majoitettiin jostain syystä tasokkaampaan Superior-huoneeseen.

I was a bit worried after having read some reviews on this website that the hotel would be pretty low standard. I was positively surprised that it was better than average (in Europe or in Brussels). Yes, there were stains on the walls but the rooms were kept clean. Yes, the room was very small but there was still space for a small piece of luggage. […] And the accessibility of the hotel was excellent: c. 15 min from the airport by train and c. 5 min walk from the railway station towards the direction where you saw the sign 'Thon Hotels'. Hotelli ei sijainnut turistipaikkojen lähellä, mutta Rogierin metroasema oli vain 20 metrin päässä ulko-ovesta. Hotellissa oli kuntosali ja näköalasauna. Aamiainen oli buffet-tyyppinen, kahvin tai teen joutui tilaamaan, mutta sen sai aika nopeasti.

For the cheap price and nearness to the train station, it wasn't bad. We were able to get the room really early, which was very nice but the room wasn't properly cleaned (you could tell by the empty shampoo/soap containers).

overall proved a very pleasent experience

Everything is good about this place. Nice and modern. A little under staffed but didn't spoil the experience.

Yes, as strange as it might sound, we paid for this hotel but we didn't stay at it at the end. Our family's friend who born in Belgium, moved us to another hotel due to the fact that he do not want us to stay at that neighbourhood. Apparently, according to this friend of ours, the area called Rogier is the worst area in Brussels. It is not a violence […] area or anything, but it is just getting to many homeless people gathering in that neighbourhood. So our friend paid for another hotel for us to stay, and we would like to share this story to you all before you make the decision. This hotel would be fine for business. For vacation, I would have liked something with a little more luxury (for lack of a better word). The rooms are very spacious by European standards and also very clean. We were on the 28th floor. I've read that higher floors are better here. But, the fitness center is on the 29th floor and so I awoke at 7am every […] morning to the brisk and loud thump of guests on the treadmill. If I were on business I'd be annoyed that the gym didn't open until 7am. On vacation, I was thankful for this. Overall, fine hotel for a couple nights, but glad we weren't staying longer. My costume went missing from my luggage, I have sent an email to the hotel to tell me if they found anything, but I had no replay yet. I think this is not professional from the hotel management. Also during our stay it was noise from drilling as they are maintain some of the rooms. Stayed here whilst visiting the Christmas markets, great location right next to stop rougier which accesses most of Brussels and there underground system cheap and easy to use!. Hotel very clean and comfortable, only downsides are plastic cups in rooms and the breakfast is €23!!

I was not happy with the cleanliness of the room floors; the gym was very bad, half the equipment broken or old, definitely not something they should advertise. I would have appreciated to be told about the city tax when i checked in, not on my last day.

We found the Thon hotel to be fantastic. The staff were very very friendly and helpful. Our room was very comfortable and clean. We were lucky because there was an offer on with the breakfast being half price which was well worth it (didn't think it would of been worth the full price though). The hotel personnel was very welcoming and during the weekend they had half-priced breakfast which was amazing. The room was very clean. Around you can find a very nice neighborhood and the tall skyscrapers. Everything is very close: parks, city center, metro.

Short summary: Clean and tidy. Safe neighbourhood. Helpful staff with good English. More or less modern room. Very close to metro, short walking distance from Gare du Nord (airport express train), shopping mall with supermarket (2-3 minutes), and some restaurants and subway shops (1-2 minutes). Easily 4/5 in my book. Stayed there for 4 days in November, […] in a standard double bed room. Friendly and helpful staff, spoke English well. Clean and tidy hotel. OK neighbourhood, felt completely safe. Clean, modern room. Sufficient lighting, visually clean room. Ok sized bathroom. Only a small glass pane separating the bathtub / shower from the rest of the bathroom, so you end up squirting some amounts of water around the bathroom, but this was only mildly annoying. Didn't have breakfast at the hotel, so can't comment on that, but felt that 20+ euros it was on the expensive side. Didn't try the exercise room or sauna either. Should mention that the hotel has 29 stories and 4 elevators, so at peak hours (8'ish) it can actually take some time to get an elevator, despite them being somewhat fast. The hotel is 20 meters from the closest metro station (which houses lines 2 and 6, if I remember correctly), and the metro is a good means of transportation. Gare du Nord is a short (5 mins with a large suitcase) from the hotel (the train to the airport leaves from here). Takes about 15 minutes normal walking to get to Grand Place (not far by anyone's definition), and crossing the road takes you into the main street going north-south in Brussels, with lot's of restaurants and shops. An ok Grill is just next to the hotel. A shopping mall with a large supermarket is 2,5 minutes from the hotel, and there's also a small immigrant convenience store across the road, where there's also a good Subway shop. Lisätietoja

A nice hotel, very good location. Unfortunately, there wasn't any wardrobe in my room that was quite uncomfortable. The "relaxation centre" was under maintainance when I wanted to use it. There wasn't any soap dispenser working, so wasn't possible to take a proper shower. And the whole floor was under water.

Not exactly in the city centre, but a little walk away, however it is very close to the Metro and there are many restaurants within walking distance. Probably geared more towards the business traveller, but for the balance of price, quality, room facilities and a good breakfast offering, it is certainly not so bad!

The Thon is a good value for money. it is close to the subway, and just one stop from the north railway station. the furnishings are simple, but the room is quite large (for european standards) and the bed is comfortable.

I have stayed in this hotel before and was happy to return. Unfortunately on my second visit, it was let down by the breakfast.Fried tomatoes not replenished and cold ones left out. Potatoes not cooked properly and served cold. Food had to be requested when it had run out. There was plenty of staff in the dining room. Maybe they should observe and get […] message to the kitchen. The hotel room was quite small for two people. It was not possible for two people to pass by the end of the bed at the same time. On more than 1 occasion the creamer or sugar was not replenished in the room. Cups in the bedroom were plastic & I expected better from a 4 star hotel. On the plus side the hotel was convienent to explore Brussels.

This Hotel is fine but not outstanding. It is right in the centre of Brussels near the main train station, but not so near that you can hear the trains! I found it difficult to find a nice restaurant nearby, but there was plenty of places to eat such as a chain steak house or Dominoes Pizza. Breakfast was expensive and not good value but bar next dooe […] in shopping centre was OK and much less money. We drove to the hotel and ot was a nightmare to foind as the street given as the address wasnt in my sat nav and didnt seem to be on the street anywhere either. BE CAREFUL! they take a deposit promising to pay the full amount back and then during check out try to charge an extra 7 euros per day and tell you they have taken this from your deposit!!!! (even though the room was paid in FULL via Hotels.com).... We stood there and argued and made a scene in front of new visitors and so got our deposit back in full […] eventually :) Air-con did not work, bed sheets were not changed, TV did not work..... I stayed at Thon hotel in mid-June 2011. It is conveniently located in central Brussels, but the rooms are 3-star level: small stuffy rooms; the bed mattresses are very thin, soft and spongy -- not comfortable at all. The air conditioning is also very weak -- had to call the maintenance man twice to tinker with AC. Finally, there is no free wifi anywhere […] in the hotel -- not even in the lobby, and the internet service (per 24 hours) is too expensive. Lisätietoja

A point up from the Ibis. For luxury price I would have expected some luxury. This is a simple no frills hotel. Everything is extra. 2 local calls for less than a minute each were 11 Euros. Parking was14 Euros a day and for internet was 9.95 euros. Breakfast 22 Euros! They have an electric water heater for instant coffee. The cups are disposable plastic! […] The rooms are small for 2 people and there is little room for bags. No amenities except for liquid soap and very thin towels. Beds were a bit soft for me. The location was very good walking distance to the center and shopping street. Easy to walk to the north train station and take the airport train. It took 15 minutes to get to the airport. Noisy pipes day and night (even with heating/AC off); expensive Internet; very expensive breakfast if not included in package. Room was not restocked at check-in (15:30); Hotel café bar closed until 17:00. Hallways looked like storage rooms, dirty whitewashed walls. The gym is scantily equipped, with just one jogging machine. Way overpriced for room given its condition. Walls of room were filthy and battered. Mattress was like a trampoline, but sheets were clean/fresh. Previous occupants new shoe boxes and other remnants not removed prior to my arrival. Overall, not a bad hotel, just not good value.

We stayed here for two nights as part of a weekend break. The hotel was fine - a good location for transport links (5-10 mins walk from the Gard Nord), and the main sights (10-15 mins walk to the Grand Square). The hotel staff were friendly, the reception area is nice, and the hotel is surrounded by decent restaurants. On the downside, the room was […] small-ish, the bed was hard, the mini-bar was a bit dirty, and there were a few scuff marks from other people's suitcases on the walls (that might bother you, it didn't bother us). Also, the elevators took ages, and were really small! Still, these are all petty gripes, if I go to Brussels again, and am looking for a business-class hotel at a decent price, I will use the Thon. Ok hotel. Had stayed at the nearby Crowne Plaza Grand Palace hotel a few weeks earlier and chose this one to compare. Room was about half size of CP and bed was very very small (1 double bed which was made of 2 single beds). We'd asked for a twin room and thats what we were given. We were on the 17th floor and the room was looking a little shabby. Peeling […] paintwork, leaking shower/tub. However, the place was clean and had basic soap/shampoo in the bathroom (wall mounted dispenser rather than mini bottles). Gym on top floor is free for all guests, and has small but essential equipment. Sauna was out of service. Internet was 15Euro per day, breakfast had a deal for 11 euros per person at the weekend. This is a 4* hotel and this was reflected in the foyer and surrounding area and the service was excellent. Once in the room, although clean and all ameneties as expected, the temperature was extremely hot and could not understand how the air conditioning worked and the maintenance in the room was not as good as I had expected. The lampshade on one of […] the bedside lamps was just resting on the wire frame and the carpet around the room had not been fitted correctly, there were rough edges which I would not expect to find in a 4* hotel. Great location for local and national transport links, and easy walking distance to the centre of town.

This is a very efficient hotel. The luxuries are not spectacular, but if you're just traveling through Brussels or will be there for business only, then this hotel is perfect. It's literally right off the Metro Stop "Rogiers" and is close to everything. You can take public transportation for 2 or 3 stops to go to most places. Really nice hotel for the […] money spent.
