I loved the kitchen. It was much easier to feed the kids.

The staff was friendly, everything was clean and comfortable. Room was gigantic. Next time taking my children. Went on a business trip and the evening there was so many places to visit and I even managed to get in a movie across the street. There was some construction on the street, but no problems getting around.

We had three rooms two of the rooms were on the 3rd. floor and one was on the first floor. The elevator was out of order both days we were there. The room on the first floor was not clean and it reeked of cigarette smoke to the point that you had trouble breathing. They gave us a room purifier unit and it smelled worse than the room. We requested a non-smoking, 2 queen room. Upon entering the room, it looked large and nice, but immediately you noticed the stench. The light switches were nasty and had gunk on them, the bathroom was filthy and there were stains on the blanket. There was only one bed. We were on the first floor and had a heck of a time getting the curtains to close […] completely. When you turned on the vent to get some air in the room, it blew open the curtains. The elevators were out of order and our room was under the stairs. If you could fall asleep with the stink in the room, you couldnt stay asleep with everyone running up and down the stairs all night with their luggage clunking on the stairs. the only 2 minute problems i had was there weren't any sheets for the pull out bed but when i called the service desk, he was more then gracious to resolve the problem. the second was that there wasnt anyone at the service desk at time of checkout. it took a few minutes for her to come back to the desk. other then that it was a great stay (especially […] the hot tub) Lisätietoja

We travelled with 3 kids (5,3,1) and the space was great, it was nice having two tvs in the room, one in the bedroom and one in the sitting room. So,after the kids went to bed, we could watch tv (be nice if there was some privacy curtain or door between the two rooms) in between is the kitchen, very handy to have a fridge, sink and microwave.

The hotel was fine. This is an older hotel. The pool area was clean. You can see where all the areas are worn and paint is starting to peel though. The breakfast was good. Hot waffles, eggs, sausage, hash browns with other cold breakfast sides. No problem with lack of food or running out of anything. This is a very nice hotel. I stay here several times a year and never had a problem. The rooms are spacious and always clean. The only complaint is the indoor pool could be warmer. Sometimes it is cooler than expected, especially for an indoor pool.

Room was fairly clean and beds comfortable. Had 2 room suite with 2 queen size beds including kitchenette. Plenty of room for two adults and three children. Appliances needed some updating. Refrigerator needed defrosting. No in room movie rental available. Night clerk at check in was not outgoing or friendly, but was helpful. It was like he was put […] out that we did not show up until almost 10 PM. Pool closed at 10PM which was bummer. Worst of all was condition of sleeper sofa which was very worn and had stained mattress. Free breakfast was fairly nice in comparison with other places we have stayed and included hot food. My daughter and I needed a decent hotel to stay in on a recent trip to Columbus for a gymnastics meet. It was a great deal, considering we had a spacious 2 room suite, with a small kitchenette...and it even included a hot breakfast buffet. We would definitely stay again!

Enjoyed my stay. Very nice hotel and nice area.

Only downside was the elevator went down. Comfortable space, bathroom could use new fixtures also bedding and window treatments but the overall experience was very good.

I was a bit worried about staying here after reading some of the reviews, but upon arrival I was very satisfied with service and cleanliness. The hotel is literally walking distance from whatever u need, from Walmart, Ihop, to Sprint and much much more. I will defintitely stay here again.

We stayed here after a school event, got in around 8, needed to eat good but quick and had 2 teens that wanted to swim, and 2 teens that wanted to do 'something'. Lots of different kinds of restaurants, and we found the perfect one for all of us right across the road from the hotel. There was a movie theater with great prices right behind the restaurant, […] so the older teens went there while the rest of us swam and went to hot tub back at the hotel. Was extremely convenient, pool was great, hot tub could have been a little hotter, but was nice anyway. Room was great. Only downside to our stay here, was sofa bed was twin sized, not full to queen like the lady said she thought it was when i called about it. I had to pay a $10 extra person fee for having 6 in the room, yet there were no roll away beds to accommodate all. Younger teens made it work by sleeping on twin sofa bed anyway. Only other down side was the bathroom was not very roomy at all. But again, the plusses out weighed the negatives, and we made it work. The breakfast was very good and had a wide variety. Nice hotel for the money. Customer service is poor. Rude attendants. Have to be overly nice to them to get semi decent service. I had read the reviews, so I was prepared to deal with the front desk attendants. Stay clear of the front desk and you will have a great stay.

The lady that checked us in was very nice and accomidating! But the over night shift was very very rude and unaccomidating!! But the morning shift made up for the rudness for the overnight shift!

I booked the rooms at Hotels.com and confirmed it with my credit card. We were in town for a funeral, a very emotional time for our family. When my son arrived with his wife and two small sons, he was not admitted to a room. I called the clerk at the front desk and told him that my son, with the same last name as mine, was trying to check in with my […] permission. He would not allow him to and they waited for some time in the parking lot in their car until the fax finally came from Hotels.com. We liked having the extra "living room" where we could watch our movies and the kids could watch their cartoons while laying in bed. When we first got there our door was cracked open and the heat was on full blast. they were trying to defrost the freezer (which left water everywhere) and she asked us if we were going to use it and I said no. Thinking […] they should just give us another room, but they didnt and I had to stick a towel in it to soak up all the water. The hotel was in okay condition. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The front desk staff was terrible. They were rude and did not explain to me that there would be an $50 hold on my credit card. They also were limited in their English and were not helpful when questions were asked.

We traveled with two children so having the separate living area and two t.v.'s was great. Good price for the room with breakfast included. Would definitely stay here again.

The room was nice and clean including the shower. The pool was clean however the ceiling had paint chipping off over top of the pool and the pool bathroom was rusty in some parts. Overall it was clean and was fine for a short stay.

The HAWTHORNE suites I would recommend for business travelers and or vacationers to the Columbus area. The room comfort and cleanliness were good. There was a small issue with the shower leaking water from the pipe coming out of the wall. The offered to switch me rooms, but i said that is ok... please just have it fixed before morning. While Maintenance […] could not get it fixed 100% they did put in the effort to make everything right. The room was equipped with 2 42' Widescreen 1080P TV's from LG and the Living Room area also had a Blu-Ray player, LG Model, attached to the TV which was great because I do travel with Blu-Rays when i go on vacation. The pool was very clean and water temperature was just right, the exercise room was clean orderly and had decent equipment. Wifi services were excellent, and sound proofing between rooms was good. The breakfast buffet leaves a lot to be desired. Not very health oriented, unless you count powdered eggs healthy. so D+ on the breakfast bar. Parking was ample, and spacy to prevent door dings and other parking lot mishaps. Plenty of Restaurants and stores nearby. For FORD Owners there is a Ford dealership right next door to the property. Meijer (pronounced Mayer) grocery store is right across the street and offers 24/7 service. Plenty of fuel stations nearby and very quick access to route 70 east and west. At first after reading the comments of past guests, I was ready for anything, I arrived, noticed the smoke smell in the halls, but once I got in the room, I couldn't have been more happy. The room was supposed to be non-smoking room, but the stench of smoke was so horrible that I coughed all night. I will not recommend this hotel to anyone, unless you don't care about smoke.

Very good price and the best for the family

The Hawthorn Suites in Hilliard Oh. had big rooms that were kept very clean. The decor was a little outdated but the ceilings were high and the size and convenience of a seperate seating with a second lg flat screen area made up for it. The pool was nice and the breakfast was well serviced, food was fresh with fruit, waffles, bagles and fresh hot food. […] Nice place to stay with a pet, close to shopping and the interstate. This is not upscale by any means. But then it's a good value. I was looking for something with a kitchenette because I travel on business and I can take food with me. This kitchentte wasn't the best but it filled the bill. People who are sensitive to smoke will not be happy here as the hallway smells because the non-smoking and smoking rooms are mixed […] together. The hotel is pretty seedy and halls are not clean. It was one of the most limited TV listings I've run across. That said, I plan to stay here again next month - it's reasonably priced and safe. Lisätietoja

Please replace single cup coffee server in room to at least a 4 cup coffee server. This is a sorest spot of the entire hotel. A single cup coffee server. Jeez

Nice place alot of traffic to get through but near resturaunts and stores.

Our desk clerk was not very friendly upon check-in, and the hallway to our room smelled like smoke. Yet the suite (room) itself was large and fit our needs well. The continental breakfast was also a nice change from the regular "free coffee and donut"-type of breakfasts. They served hot foods and a variety of breads/pastries. We booked the suite to go visit and celebrate our grandson's second birthday. First impression of the suite was good. It was large, comfortable and even had a blu -ray player for the grandson's movie. #1) The first issue was the freezer in the fridge had so much ice built up in it, we couldn't put the ice cream in it (which melted). #2) We went down […] to enjoy the pool and hot tub. It was clean, but the hot tub was warm at best. #3) Back in the room, very low water pressure made showering a challenge. #4) The topper was that the toilet in the suite would not flush. I called the front desk the first evening and was told someone would be right up to check it out. I fell asleep waiting for a maintenance person that never showed up. In the morning, I called again (new shift) and was told the maintenance man was "around here somewhere" and they would try to find him to send him up. Everything at this hotel was great for us. It's in good condition, comfortable big rooms/suites, nice pool and jacuzzi, good breakfast, friendly staff, and tons of restaurants, etc. around the hotel. Zero complaints and would definitely stay again.

While we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and was very satisfied with the room, the breakfast left something to be desired. The gravy was watery and the eggs rubbery, the potatoes were raw and person setting it up was unfreindly and a little ticked off that we were five minutes early, buy I believe they were about 15 minutes late getting it setup. The fitness […] room, was nice, but a little unorganized and in need of cleaning. The computers were down so the desk clerk seemed somewhat confused. We were given let's to a room that was occupied and walked in on someone, who didn't see us, but as we exited down the hall they openned the door. I am sure they must have Ben a big uncomfortable that night. I think we would have been. All and all, except for that and a few door slams in the earlier hours before bed, it was a pleasing stay. My only complaint is the pool is too cold to swim in. Everything else was great.
