Homestead Newark - Christiana - Newark

The stay was comfortable and quiet. Very conveniently located to shopping mall and other attractions. I would reccomend this hotel to friends and family.

Very nice stay till bout 3am when people were hanging out in the stairway having a party of there own and loud. Woke us up but that was just one night

This hotel was very nice and clean and the staff was very helpful. I will would stay here again. By the way it is located very close to a nice Mall and other surrounding shops.

Beware you are not guarenteed the room you have booked even if you booked several months in advance and paid for it, for which I had done AND was guaranteed. When I arrived after several hours of driving, I was told I did not have the specific accomodations for two people do to this being an extended stay hotel, I was told by the clerk that the hotel […] guests living there have first priority if they decide to stay longer then they had booked their initial stay. This is why I was not guaranteed the room and was offered a smaller size room at the same rate, mind you I had requested and paid for the room. The hotel clerk was very rude to my companion and myself, and was very sarcastic stating "what would you like me to do build a room for you ?". I have stayed in several types of hotels and motels over the years this was by far the worst experience I ever had. I have been in the Customer Service Business for over 32 years and if any of my employees spoke to a customer in that manner there would be consequences. Due to no rooms available in any of the surrounding hotels I did take the room..mind you I found an extra TV remote and the room key from the last guest who stayed in the room inbetween the bedspread and the blanket HMMMMMM....... with this stay I have completed 10 days at Hotel .com hotels. I even endured a horocane and a toronado to stay this last time in August 2011. I seem to be missing a credit for a three night stay. THIS ONE. please look into this as I am CERTAIN that since July 2010 I have 10 days stays.

Before booking, I read comments of others and was a little leery about the stay but at the time it was the best and most convenient place to stay. Everything was great about the hotel staff, cleanliness, etc. My only complaint is that you could hear just about everything that was happening on the floor. Not much insulation.

it was a cheap place to stay----you get what you pay for. We needed a place to sleep for the night and spent no time in the room. It was clean, just older and hasn't been updated in a LONG time.

Nothing set this hotel above any other hotel.

This Hotel is rated correctly...it is about a 2 star. This was a family weekend away...we had two rooms (1-King & 2-Queens). Each room had a kitchen, which was nice, however our kitchen came equiped with nothing to eat on. (No plates, cups, glasses, etc.) The room was clean, but the hotel really needs some updates.

The initial clerk that checked me in was less than pleasant but the rest of the staff I encountered during my visit was willing to go above and beyond to assist me. After checking in, the clerk that relieved the previous even called my room and asked how she could assist me in getting settled in. This made the stay worth it. This place was TERRIBLE !! The front door was locked when I arrived and I had to ring a bell and wait for the laundry guy to let me in. He did not know how to run a credit card or anything else. The hotel was dirty and the elevator stunk so bad I had to take the stairs. The room was filthy and did not even have maid service unless you paid extra each […] day for it. The hotel was a great price for one night. The room felt like home and we were pleased with the full kitchen in the room. The room was very clean. The hotel was very close to many restaurants. The room was not clean. Ball of hair in the kitchen, dirt on tracks in closet and the faucets were filthy. We are in the area every year and we stay at the Days Inn, will be at Days Inn next year.

this hotel is the best place if you have someone in the hospital and you and others are taking shifts....it has the best location, it is quiet and easy drive back and forth. the kitchen worked well for all of us too.

Everything was wonderful, my only complaint was the condition of the bed, the bed was hard and very uncomfortable. Other than that everything was wonderful.

This is my third stay at this particular hotel, due to it's proximity to Delaware Park, Christiana Mall and Philadelphia. I enjoy the amenities and convenience. The price is also great.

I travel 100+ nights annually and rarely dislike a bed. The bed I had was aged and could be replaced for physical comfort.

This hotel is close to everything, I-95 can get you where you want to be and the exit is less than a mile away from the hotel. Restaurants are a traffic light away. But the hotel could use some renovation to brighten things up and remove the dingy look of things. Comfortable nonetheless. I would stay again once I know that it has been renovated.

This was a great little hotel. Very convenient location - close to freeway, food, and shopping. Very quiet and in a great neighborhood for a quiet walk. Super value!

I had booked three room for one night and 1 bedroom for two night since I was there with my entire family for graduation of my niece. Some of the Hotel staff were rude and made it difficult for me to stay in the same room for 2nd night. Since I had seperate reservation for the 2nd night, they also suggested that I had to check out at 11 am, haul all […] my luggage out and then come back at 3pm to check back in....That was just too much....When I told them that I had paid for two nights and it was their system that did not allow me to book for two consecutive night, even when they had rooms available. This is primarily an extended stay hotel for business travelers. It is nice to have a full kitchen but the lobby has no frills, no breakfast etc. Just there for checking during business hours. The rooms were clean and spacious but did not include shampoo. It it is a quick stop off 95 or you are only using the hotel as a place to sleep, it is OK. very clean and nice room but public areas could use some work- several exterior doors out of order

I reserved and paid for a non-smoking room at least one month in advance. When I got there I was told they had overbooked and they only had smoking rooms available. Then the next morning the manager called me at 10:30 am to tell me that checkout was at 11 am and that I couldn't extend it for 30 minutes. nice and clean....

The hotel and room was more than adequate. My only problem was with the housecleaning. Not only does this hotel charge an additional $10-$20 for changing & cleaning the bed and towels, the guest has to strip their own bed.
