"Comfort Inn Hotel in Richmond, Va"
This was the absolute worst hotel my wife and I have ever stayed in. The ceilings in the hallways were barely above my head and I am 5' 10" tall. There were complaints of bugs in the rooms below us. I weigh 155lbs and I could barely fit into the bathroom. The area around the hotel was definitely not the safest area to be in and nothing about the hotel […] matched what was shown in the pictures on the site. The breakfast there was also very sketchy looking and bland. Overall, we were disgusted with the current maintenance and up keep of the hotel, the size of the hall ways, which narrowed and you walked down them, and the cleanliness of the hotel overall. They don't wash the comforters. I spent the night battling the top blankets from getting too close to my face because I could smell the previous guests bad body odor! Good hot continental breakfast though.

The room was a bit dirty. The ceiling tile was not in place. It was not up to our expectations. We wont be staying there again.

didn't get no sleep, people running up and down the hallway, they knew we had kids and put us next to a bunch of young adutls who didnt care of other people. and heard other crap.. very thin walls

We only stayed at this hotel for one night but we were very impressed, excellent service form the staff and the room was very clean, well kept and well equipped (coffee machine, fridge, microwave etc). Would definately recommend this hotel. Shops were about a 15 minute walk away. Good location

The room was clean, the staff was helpful, but this hotel has seen far better days. I wouldn't recommend it for an extended stay, but if you are only in town for a night it's fine.

I stayed over this past weekend for business. I went down saturday morning for breakfast and when I came back to my room, $80 had been stolen from my wallet. This ruined the rest of my stay because I dont have money to start with and my family is struggling to keep the bills paid as is.. Excellent value! Comfortable and reasonably priced
FOR THE PRICE THE HOTEL IS GOOD. I WAS DISAPPOINTED IN THE BREAKFAST & SIZE OF THE BATHROOM. THE HOTEL IS OLD BUT SEEMS TO BE FAIRLY WELL MAINTAINED.
The best thing I can say about this Hotel is that it was a cheap place for a one night stay. Otherwise everything was falling apart from the elevators, to the walls, to the exterior of the building and in the rooms. GHETTOOOOOO!!! Plus when I went to take a shower the shower curtain had black mold around it!! The pool also has mold all around the edge […] of the pool. Not good for your health. The roof in the lobby area was leaking. Very messy. A lot of towels and blankets on the floor. That is a safety issue. Major leaking on the garage roof. Big holes in the roof . Water was pouring into the garage. Tried to find an area to park my vehicle. Afraid the roof might cave in on my vehicle. Power went out in the elevator due to the hurricane. […] Power tower blew out three times. No TV and radio. Understandable due to "Irene." The hotel was OK. It was clean and neat. The staff was outstanding!
No hot water for 2 days. Will be staying elsewhere when in town again.
Motel seemed a bit neglected, although the bathroom was modern and the rooms were clean. Pool was not well maintained.

"Unresponsive Staff and Stay Away from Breakfast"
Our first night was restful, but then yelling neighbors checked in next door. Staff refused to give us another room, despite rooms being available because they would need the room later and then "it would just be a problem for someone else." They asked that we let them take care of the problem. Well, despite multiple requests by staff to keep the noise […] down, the neighbors kept yelling. Breakfast selection was poor and food safety an issue. Bit into a moldy muffin the first morning, a dry stale croissant the next. This hotel was in a terrible area!! My daughter was afraid to get out of the car when we parked. The hotel staff was alittle rude and didnt seem to care if the guests were happy or not. The breakfest was not satisfactory. We ended up gettting coffee and going somewhere else to eat. In the halway to our room there was a hole in the ceeling. I was hoping i would have an opportunity to write a review on this hotel. I have to say i was EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED in everything about my stay at this particular Comfort Inn. I had to go to Richmond to the Central Office for the DBHDS for 2 days. I had to stay overnight, and I chose Comfort Inn based on my previous experience with this hotel chain. I was there May 13th, for an overnight visit. i only stayed one night and I am glad it was for only overnight. 1- security was almost not present at hotel... i saw only 1 staff member and he was at the front desk. well, when i first got htere he was actually out front smoking. he did go in and check me in and he was pleasant. 2-the parking area was filthy and not very well lite and small parking spaces.. it was awful. 3- there was only one cart for transporting suitcases/bags and it was filthy. 4-the hotel room was dirty, smelled of smoke even tho i requested non smoking. 5-i asked for more towels thursday morning, i was getting readly to take a shoer and i was told that "this is not a full service hotel, we cannot bring you any towels.". they were very rude. 6-breakfast was cereal, oj, apple juice, no fruite, no yogurt, and barely acceptable. 7-my reservati9on was non refundable and i had to prepay, so even if i would have left i would have lost my money. so i had no choice but to stay and i paid this visit out of my own pocket. i will never return to this Comfort Inn and i will make sure anyone else who needs to go to Richmond that they will not stay there. this particular Comfort Inn gives your chain a really bad representation and I am so disappointed in this stay. I got two rooms for work in Richmond and not knowing exactly where the job was located I waited till I had the guys on the job before I started looking. "Kind of a bad are, but the price is right"
Not in the greatest of areas, but it was cheap and pretty good for the price. It was clean and everything worked. No real complaints, just nothing special.

well i went to this hotel for my friends bday...we were only staying over night so she wanted to go cheap and although the price was right it was still way to much for what we got. the hotel was very old looking and the rooms are tiny and kind of dirty. i would have rather paid extra to stay to the embassy!! the ice machine didn't work and what little […] ice i did manage to get was DIRTY!!! the check in person seemed very helpful but wen i asked for someone to clean the bathroom he said he would send someone but no one came. don't even waste your time driving to this hotel even if its just to ask for directions.... This facility has upgraded considerably. It is the best buy for a downtown hotel in Richmond near VUU, VCU, I-95 and downtown. It was perfect for my business stay on this trip.

"NOT clean, but decent night's sleep"
I was only there for a quick one night sleep on my own. The hotel served my purpose, as far as fairly comfortable beds and pillows, a coffee maker, and an iron, that's pretty much all I needed. However, the shower was NOT clean, there was hair in the tub and on the soap dish, the bath mat was gross. Would not stay here again.

We were there for one evening between races. The hotel was fine, beds were comfy enough, room clean enough, but the whole place is starting to show some age. For the price and convenience I would stay there again.

"Worst hotel expeience - ever"
Staff was unable to give directions to the hotel from I-95, one mile and 2 turns away it turned out. We were put in the most distant room, which apparently had known maintenance problems. For instance we had no hot water for showers. When we mentioned this at checkout we were told 'I thought they fixed that'. The manager was 'not available', and I was […] given a business card to register my displeasure. The maid was knocking at the door at 8 am, there was no 'do not disturb' sign available, although I saw them on other rooms. If you are looking for a hotel centrally located in richmond and convenient to downtown, this is the place. Not alot of frills, no exceptional views but good value.
