Hotellin sijainti on erinomainen lähellä Times Squarea ja keskellä Theater Districtiä. Yhdistelmällä JFK AirTrain - Jamaica Station - metrolinja E pääse hotellin eteen ja takaisin kentälle, myös toista kautta Howard Beach-asemalta eri maanalaisen linjalla. 50th Street-metroasemalta pääsee myös Ala-Manhattanille. Hotellin alakerrassa on Pigalle-ravintola, jossa on aamiaisbuffet amerikkalaisittain, menettelee. Hintataso on ollut kohtuullinen niillä kerroilla kun olen ollut hotellissa ympäröiviin hotelleihin verrattuna.

Yövyin Podissa kahteen otteeseen, ensin viisi yötä omalla kylpyhuoneella varustetussa huoneessa ja myöhemmin neljä yötä jaetulla kylpyhuoneella. Jaetut pesutilat ovat todella siistit, lähes aina vapaat ja niissä kuuluva musiikki tuo yksityisyyttä, eli säästöä havittelevalle single shared on tosi toimiva ratkaisu. Oman kylpyhuoneen helppous on tietysti plussaa, joten kyllä siihen toisaalta kannattaa panostaa. Huoneet ovat tosi pieniä, mutta niissä on kaikki tarvittava. Huonekalujen ja tekstiilien kunto on erittäin hyvä, uuden oloinen, ja huoneet siivotaan huolellisesti joka päivä. Hotellin asiakaskunta oli kaikenikäistä, fiksua ja hyvin asiallista. Hotellin sijainti on mahtava. Kulman takana on ruokakauppa sekä lukuisia ravintoloita ja hyviä pubeja. Myös pikaruokapaikkoja on lähellä jos äkkinälkä yllättää. Hotellin omassa baarissa en ruokaillut, kun muu tarjonta naapurustossa oli niin hyvä. Keskuspuistoon ja Times Squarelle kävelee vaivatta, ja samoin ostoksille Lexingtonille ja 5th Avenuelle. 6- linjan metropysäkki on ihan lähellä, ja sillä pääsee helposti alemmas Manhattania. Lentokentältä pääsee myös edullisesti ja vaivatta ihan hotellin lähelle, 53rd St & Lexingtonin asemalle (ensin Airtrain Jamaica stationille ja sieltä E-linja tuolle pysäkille). Kokonaisuudessaan aivan loistava hotelli hinta-laatusuhteeltaan, ja tulen varmasti yöpymään Podissa toistekin.

This New York hotel does not have its own restaurant, but there are numerous dining choices within the surrounding area, particular along Broadway, Columbus Avenue, and Amsterdam Avenue. Zabar's, Manhattan's famous food emporium, is a seven-block stroll. It's a great place to pick up snacks or a full meal, and also includes an inexpensive café.

Aamupala ei kuulunut hintaan, mutta lähistöllä oli useita kivoja delejä, joista sai mm. bageleita ja kahvia kohtuuhintaan. Belnord hotel was really nice and clean. Room was tiny, but it didn't really matter. Subway was near and some good restaurants too. Staff were really helpful.

Jos tulet New Yorkiin näkemään kaupunkia, etkä viettämään aikaasi hotellissa, tämä hotelli on siihen tarkoitukseen varsin sopiva. Hotelli on hyvällä paikalla ja se oli erittäin siisti ja sinne pystyi kätevästi jättämään matkatavarat ennen sisäänkirjautumista. Huoneet ovat pienet.

When we arrived, we noticed that there were five step up to reception, and we had two bags weighing 35 to 40 lbs. each - we had to ask for someone to carry them up the steps for us (we are both 60) and then had to take them to our room ourselves. Our room had an air-conditioning unit that sounded like we were in a D-cabin on the Silja Line ships. One […] of the many smoke alarms in the hall started beeping because of a low battery just as we went to sleep one night. The toilet was plugged up when we awoke the last day, and the reply from reception was that the maintenance staff comes to work at 8, just after were had to leave for the airport. This hotel was OK. The room was teeny tiny, knocked your elbows on the walls tiny. Sheets were mildly stained, not gross yucky stains, but old pen marks and the like - you didn't really want to crawl between them. In a nice neighborhood, plenty of restaurants and a little shopping within close walking distance. The parking garages in the area where […] extremely expensive. "More cramped and twice as expensive as Tokyo"
The room was barely large enough for the bed, with no clothes dresser, no desk, not even a chair, and no place to open a single suitcase other than on top of the bed. "smallest room ever"
We have slept at this Hotel twice because we did not know that the room are the smallest I have ever seen anywhere. We taught we had seen small rooms elsewhere in the world but this Hotel wins the CAKE. We were in NYC to take a boat for a cruise so the night before our cruise the room ventilation was very noisy and it took us a while to understand that […] it was not a parked truck outside that had it's motor running but that it was the floor bellow us ventilation system that was making that noise. The bed was not very comfortable. The second room after the cruise was a bit bigger but not enough since we had to put our luggage in the bathtub to make sure we would have room to move in the room. The washroom was almost half the size of the room and our cabin during the cruise was way bigger. The price was fair but I did not like the service. "Very clean but small"
I stay at the Belnord often when I am in NYC. It is very convenient for my business when I am in town, and it is also very clean and well maintained. I believe that the rooms have been recently renovated. The only challenge is that the rooms are very small. "Hotel Belnord: Good Price, Good Room,Good Area"
This was a very nice, small,clean,quiet hotel in a great neighbourhood with good shopping and close access to the park and museums. Perfect if you want a taste of the life New York residents live, Very convenient if you want to get downtown as it is one block to the subway and about 10 minutes to Times Square.

we got the same room. this time a little less painful but still need time to ask for code to get to internet. people could be nicer working behind the desk. toilet got a little dirtier than last time tho.

This modest hotel has a wonderful location one block from the 86th street and Broadway IRT subway stop, and one block in the other direction to Amsterdam Avenue and many,many wonderful restaurants. Hi All, Just stayed at the Belnord--was excited to stay--the location is great. I stayed in a single room--the room was clean, but wow was it spartan and absolutely tiny! Definitely the smallest hotel I have ever stayed in--including my national and international travels. It was pleasant enough, but for me, it was difficult to get over how tiny the […] room was. You open the door, there is the bed and that is pretty much the size of the room. Also, the heating system was excessively noisy. On the plus side, the location is great if you want to be on the upper west, and right next to 1 train, one block away on 86th st. Yes, the rooms in this hotel are very, very small - in fact it is the smallest room I've ever stayed in. Even with the smallness of the room and space in general, it was a great place to stay. You can't beat the location on the Upper West Side - many restaurants and sites to see very close by. Walking distance to Central Park and great shopping very […] close by. And the price is one of the lowest in town. The entire hotel was VERY clean - no worry of bed bugs or other critters here! This hotel was very clean. The room had nice real wood trim, as did the hallways. It's a small room, but the bed was comfortable, nice flat screen TV, good heat and is literally 1 block from the subway. There is a Starbucks just around the corner. "Cozy Convienience"
Great location - clean neighborhood with lots of food offerings! Cozy room - not much of it even by NY standards!! We only slept there so it didn't matter. There was a nice closet with shelves to store luggage so you didn't trip all over yourself. "December stay at the Belnord"
There are only two areas I would recommend for improvement one is telephone service. Since I visit my son it's important for to be able to call him with no charge, he lives only two blocks from your hotel. The next recommendation I would made is to have sports on the TV channel on Saturday and Sunday.

this room size was the worst ive ever been subjected too. its clean and well placed but so small that it will grind on you...we left the next day to another hotel...it was not as clean but you could strech your legs.\ im sure if you read on you will see the same complaint.

Reminds me of a Paddington Station B and B. Very compact rooms. Not even room for one chair, just a bed. Two people have to watch their elbows. But inexpensive, good neighborhood, and clean. If you just want a place to sleep, a good choice.
The room was tiny but OK for our one night stay. Near to subway station. If staying in NYC for more one or two nights I'd look for something bigger and closer to midtown.
