Hotellin henkilökuntaa ei juurikaan kiinnostanut läsnäolomme. Hotellia on korjattu viimeksi noin parikymmentä vuotta sitten lukuun ottamatta sisäseinien maalausta josta oli roiskunut maalia esim wc:n palaneiden lamppujen päälle. Kaikki oli kulunutta ja vanhaa. Päiväpeitossa röökinpolttama reikä ja muutenkin läikikkäät. Lakanoissa tahroja jotka eivät […] olleet lähteneet pesussa pois tai sitten lakanoita ei ollut vaihdettu. Hiuksia tyynyliinoissa, yhdessä isompi tupsu. suihkuverho homeessa, valot eivät toimineet kuin about puolessa lampuista. Lattiat likaiset. En suosittele muuten kuin poikamiehelle jota ei kiinnosta muu kuin että ylihintaiset drinkit ovat vieressä (esim. olutpullo 7 dollaria maaliskuussa 2013). Parkkitalo lähellä 13th streetillä ja ranta vieressä. Ota hotelli muualta. Olen matkustanut myös kehitysmaissa mutta tämä hotelli oli kyllä riman alitus jenkkistandardeihin verrattuna. Lisätietoja

The worse hotel ever. No queen size bed which they advertised. They advertised free cocktail, but hotel doesn't have a bar. Bathtub so filthy, we couldn`t even step it. AC is centralized and cannot be controlled individually. TV is 12 inches and so old, still uses vcr. Everything advertised was false.

We were looking for a room for one night prior to leaving for Key West. Thank goodness for the location right on Sobe, otherwise we would have considered sleeping in the car. For what we paid it was a wash.

NEVER AGAIN!! WHEN WE FIRST ARRIVED THE ROOM WAS THE SIXE OF MY CLOSET WITH DOUBLE BEDS IN IT.. WE COULDNT EVEN WALK IN BETWEEN THEM.. WE REQUESTED A DIFFERENT ROOM BECAUSE THAT WAS NOT WHAT WAS DISPLAYED ON THE WEBSITE PICTURES.. The hotel was disgusting. The bath tub was the most unsanitary unusable tub I have ever seen. The bedding made you uneasy in terms of resting since it appeared to be second or maybe even third hand and had stains beyond belief. Floors were unswept. Just nothing good to say at all. Rate was totally over priced.

The place is a dump on a great location. The lobby and service left ALOT to be desired. The staff was friendly but seemed overwhelmed. We were told the hotel was under new management. The AC and lights didn't work properly and blankets and comforters were old (meaning marks, holes..gross!) On our 2nd day we didn't get towels because they said they ran […] out so we had to wait until the afternoon when they'd have clean ones again. And the hotel was super noisy too- you can hear everything so we did not sleep as we kept getting woken up by drunk people in the hallways, coming back to their room, etc. Definitely not worth it for the price, would not stay here again. This hotel has definitely seen better days. It would be more appropriately priced between $90-$100 a night. There were multiple areas of the hotel that were just filthy. Could they at least just run a vacuum on the stairs? Then you wouldn't get hit immediately with the stale funk of the place. The sheets seemed clean, but those ratty comforters from […] the 80s were definitely gross. I pulled it off the bed and had to remove long hairs from the sheets. At least the bathroom was somewhat updated.....super tiny, like you can't close the door without hitting your knees tiny...You might want to be sure you have a few extra towels in your luggage. There were only 2 in the bathroom. I over heard a staff member tell another guest, after the guest asked for another towel, "This is the last one". Really, in the whole hotel. Pretty sad........ Location is excellent but the room was not very inviting. Floor was dirty and it looks like the cover sheets are not being washed for days. The AC is blasting that I was freezing cold. The thermostat in the room never worked. I complained and they said the AC is centrally controlled. Will never stay here again.

It was not a pleasant experience to say the least. Left early as we could not take staying here another night, broken toilet, worn bedding etc. the bathroom was falling apart literally! Please choose another hotel!

Great location for the beach, but a bit of a walk from Lincoln Road Mall. Apart from the location and a reasonable price, this place is a total dump. The rooms are disgusting and totally unmaintained. The sheets and towels are covered with suspicious stains, and they don't even change them when they "clean" your room. Also, there is really no functioning […] air conditioning. When we asked about the sheets being dirty, the guy at the front desk said, and I quote, "dirty, no. This hotel was very convenient to stay at since I was going to the South Beach Food and Wind Fest. The hotel is not fancy.. rooms moderate in decor, but comfortable. I would definitely stay here again if the price is right. This year it was very reasonable. One free drink per guest was a nice perk..

My staff stayed here and had a very bad experience. Front desk wouldnt give blankets, didnt clean rooms, cavalier staff gave horrible customer service. Good location for the food & wine festival but for the same price I will put them up at the hotel Eva next year with great service, clean and updated rooms and great location. Will not recommend.

The hotel is super run down, but if you need a cheap place to stay so you can have tons of fun in south beach then this is it. The place is clean, it's just super old and in need of a face lift.

First off, even though I was pre-paid on Hotels.com, they took both my ID and my Credit Card and made a copy of both of them, which I find distasteful. There is never a reason to copy anyone's credit card, it just leads to possible identity theft (especially when a copy of the person's drivers license is on it as well!!!). Why they require a deposit […] when the room is pre-paid is beyond me, there is absolutely nothing to steal in the rooms. They advertise that all rooms have CD players, alarm clocks, and refrigerators - none of this is true! There are no alarm clocks, CD players, or refrigerators in any rooms according to other guests staying there, and there were certainly none of these things in my room. I left my travel alarm clock at home thinking that there would be an alarm clock in the room, and to top things off, I NEVER received the Wake Up Calls that I ordered. As such, I had to buy another travel alarm clock so that I would not miss my very early morning flight home. I detest when hotels advertise amenities that they don't have, as it makes pre-trip planning problematic. Because there are loads of other hotels in this area for around the very same price range, I can not recommend this hotel, for the reasons cited above, as well as the fact that the rooms need some serious updating and a major scrubbing, and the place stunk of marijuana the entire stay. If you are looking for a dirty, run down shanty town style shack filled with a rude staff that barely speak fluent English, feel free to throw your money away here. It bothered me greatly that the staff wasn't fluent in English and was rude, unhelpful, dismissive and flippant. I understand most of Miami has English as a second language and I love a […] pretty accent but please do actually speak FLUENT English at the front desk rather than simply be a pretty face. The overall upkeep was poor with dingy walls, dusty decore and tired flooring. The doors and walls are thin so noise is ongoing. The linens were filthy, the comforter was ripped, wrinkled and smelled. Every single blind and curtain was broken. The shower head offered a trickle of water that could barely wash the shampoo from my hair. Half of the lamps did not function. There was no clock at all. There was no "Do Not Disturb" sign. The only plus is, in keeping with its dismal condition, the place is cheap. I'd say it rates one half of one star. It is an awesome location that would be a gem if renovated and restaffed. I was only there for 2 nights so I figured I'd try it out. BIG MISTAKE. When i arrived to check in the guy behind the counter said hello and walked away. He came back FIFTEEN minutes later and took nearly a half hour to check me in. He then explained that my room door was broken and that I would have to use a house key. I turned the TV on so I didnt have to listen to hear and she pounded on the adjoining door to turn the TV down. (3pm) The next morning, i requested some towels since the only gave me ONE. Never happened even after 2 requests. Arriving back to the room later that night to a room that was never cleaned and still no towels. The beds must be 40 years old and unpleasant to sleep on. We were suppose to have a suite facing the water, but when we arrived they said our reservation was for a regular King room. There were three of us, which means we needed a roll away bed for one of us. They wanted to charge us $35 extra for the bed, even though we already paid for a suite. The staff was actually pretty nice upon check-in. However, as soon as I got into the room, I regretted making the reservation. I wish I would have read other reviews because this hotel is run down and down right filthy. The sheets had stains on them, the comforter was thread bare and I could feel the springs digging into my back through all the layers […] of the sheets, as I ended up sleeping in a sleeping bag on top of the covers. The ceiling fan was making a terrible noise, there was no air conditioning, no coffee maker, which the website claims. And to finish my experience, the vinyl curtains did nothing to block street noise and the worst, I could here every single word of the staff from the front desk as if I were standing right next to them. I thought that after they turned off the blaring techno at 11:30 pm, that I'd finally be able to sleep, but no dice. I ended up having to pay for two nights even though I checked out early. The young girl that finally waited on us at check-in was disinterested in assisting us and refused to let us check-in early, even though I had pre-arranged it. I waited over 30 mins to get checked in due a person that seems to live there was griping over something and my LARGE group had to stand in the tiny front room packed with too much furniture […] + bar + aquarium + workers standing around + all our luggage until we could get service. After refusing us the ability to check-in, we were finally offered a room that we could carefully squeeze around to in order to store our luggage (not easy considering we had 3 handicapped individuals). As we began the ridiculous effort, we were finally told "oh yeah, you can check into your rooms". The beds were comfy, the rooms very bare and narrow, bathrooms a bit gross; rooms reeked of tobacco and other odors. The young man that checked us out on Saturday, however, was very pleasant, had manners, and offered to assist us with our transportation to our next adventure. The hotel is convenient being right across from the ocean and near a fun Starbucks on the beach. I was able to get several rooms at a great rate for the area but the hotel doesn't offer shuttle service so it still cost a fortune to get to our next destination only 15 mins down the road. Location is the key here. Right on the beach on the beautiful Art Deco strip. The attached restaurant and bar made it easy for breakfast or before dinner apps and drink. I chose this hotel because of it's excellent location. I also assumed that all the hotels on Ocean Drive would be very nice and clean. I was wrong. Upon checking in, I noticed immediately that the carpeting in the hallway was worn and dirty. Upon entering my room, I thought that I had been transported to a 1950's movie set. The paint on the walls was […] old and dull, the curtains and bedspread looked 30 years old. However, the worst part was that there were stains in the bedspread, the bathroom was not at all modern, with the bathtub chipped in some areas, and the floor was not that clean. To top it off, the rooms don't have phones so my messages were given to me by the hotel staff, where English is obviously not their first language! I did have breakfast at the hotel, the french toast was almost the best I have ever tasted, though the tap water tasted funny so I didn't finish drinking it. VERY old place. Doesn't look like it has EVER been updated. Not the cleanest. VERY thin walls. Watch the valet parking b/c it is run by outside company and kinda sketchy (at one point we were told we couldn't have our car for 2 hours, then they got our rates all mixed up and tried to charge us more then was due). However, location is PERFECT, right […] in the heart of South Beach. Plus they serve breakfast, lunch, dinner right downstairs if you want to eat w/out going too far. The hotel staff is AMAZING. They go above and beyond the call of duty. It is directly across from the beach and close to good clubs and restaurants. The rooms are a little out dated but clean and functional. I would most definitely stay there each time I return to Miami.
