Hotellin sijainti on loistava. Remontti oli vielä käynnissä ja muutoin siistissä ja hyvin tilavassa huoneessamme oli melko voimakas maalin haju. Muuten ihan ok, kivat näkymät kerroksestamme (11). Voisi mennä toistekin.

Lontoolaiseksi hotelliksi erinomaisessa kunnossa ja siisti pikkuhotelli rauhallisella sijainnilla. Hyviä ruokapaikkoja aivan vieressä.(esim. italialainen perheen ylläpitämä San Marco ja loistavaa ruokaa tarjoava pub Sawyers Arms) Lähellä Paddingtonin rautatie / metroasemaa (n.200m). Nopea juna lentokentältä 15 minuutissa koko matka. Pieni huone mutta huippusiisti ja nykyaikainen siisti kylpyhuone. Ystävällinen ja avulias henkilökunta.

Pariskunta tutustumassa ensi kertaa Lontoon nähtävyyksiin ja arvostelujen + nettikuvien perusteella valitsi Henryn. Kuvat eivät kerro totuutta, sillä kuviin on varmaan valittu tasokkaimmat huoneet (näin on käynyt aiemmin). Meille arvottu huone sijaitsi katutasossa ja näkymä ikkunasta oli kiviaita. Huone oli pieni ja kylpyhuone ahdas epäkäytännöllinen. […] Siisteydessä ei ole mitään moittimista. Ilmastointi huoneessa oli vanhanaikainen ja vaikeasti hallittavissa. Sen sijaan aamupala oli juuri niin hyvä kuin se arvosteluissakin kerrottiin. Henkilökunta oikeinkin ystävällistä. Hotellin ympäristö oli mukava, tosin metroasemiin oli matkaa neljän korttelin verran. Hotelli on siisti, hieman nuhjuinen mutta söpöllä tavalla. Henkilökunta mukava ja ilmeisesti kaikki ovat espanjalaisia. Huoneet pienet mutta riittävät. Hotellin plussiin kuuluu ehdottomasti se että on hissi, huoneissa OMA kylpyhuone ja vessa, sängyt oli hyvät, mahtava aamupala, sijainti hyvä. Lontoon edullisimmissa hotelleissa ei ole itsestäänselvyys […] että huoneissa on oma KPH tai että aamupala olisi kovin laadukas. Miinukset oli paperin ohuet seinät huoneissa ja natiseva lattia. We were disappointed to find that the room was not as descibed. It certainly did not have a seperate sitting area and shower/bath tub combination as described. The room was so small we could not fit both our bags in. We had a very pleasant 4-day stay at the hotel. The location was fantastic and easily accessible to the very good public transport system. The staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was not grand, but adequate.

This hotel was fantastic for the price. Free bfast, free wifi (other hotels I looked at charged up to 20 GBP PER DAY for internet access), nice/safe neighborhood right near Hyde Park. Easy access to the Tube with 3 stops within a 10 min walk. Room was a little on the small side when compared with American hotels, but it had everything I needed, and […] was warm and comfortable. Staff was nice. And the floors were named after Henry VII's wives, which was a nice touch. There was a sauna and pool, too, although I never used it. It's only about 5-min walk from the Bayswater Station and it is served with delicious Breakfast Buffet. It also has lift access to upper hotel rooms ! Hotel King Henry viii was a good hotel for the money paid with very helpful and curteous staff. However, the facilities are 3 star and not 4 star. If I had paid 4 star prices I would have been disappointed. Room service is just a couple of sandwiches and crisps and nuts and I had to collect them from the bar which was very bizarre. Well kept building with extensive breakfast buffet and wifi throughout the hotel. Location is just out of the city center, but several underground stops are nearby as well as a shopping center (coffee places, supermarkets and mayor clothing brands). Ideal for a city trip!

this was such a nice place to stay in london, The room was a little small but still very comfy, and plenty of personal space, the staff were very kind, nice and helpfull, they were very knowlageble and easy going, the recepion is 24/7 , its only a 5 min walk from 2 tube stations, and the hope on/off bus tours of london depart from just around the cornor […] @ the petrol station, @ hyde park, so the location is very convienent, a beautiful hotel that i would reccomend to anyone looking for a relaxing stay in london :) Lisätietoja

"Reasonably priced - OK hotel"
The hotel is located in Bayswater, not to far from the Underground. The room was clean and tidy, but quite worn. Breakfast was good. Pool area was very nice, but to cold for us to use (February). If you only need a sleepover in London, you get good value for the money.

"I could not have been more pleased...."
I booked the Henry the VIII Hotel on- line based on value. The rate included a full breakfast, in room coffee, and free WiFi. And the picture showed a "Hyde Park" antique white look of the building from the outside which appealed to my traditional senses. My single room was newly refurbished. I had a lovely balconied window with fresh white curtains, […] and plaid over drapes. The breakfast items varied from day to day but all were fresfh and tasty. The staff was friendly and helpful. The bus was two short blocks away, and there were grocery stores and restaurants nearby. All in al, staying at the Hotel Henry VIII made my first visit to London very easy and comfortable. Positive: great location! Stores and restaurants are nearby. You need to take 13 minutes to Paddington and queensway if you take heavy luggage. Big and comfortable Negative: Air-conditioner was broken. No one fixed it during my stay and the manager kept lying the technician on the way to fix it (I have not seen any technician really work on Sunday, […] what a lie!). A really conviently located hotel, within walking distance of all major attractions. The hotel was clean, comfortable and a joy to stay at. Ok the room was a little small, but as we were using it as a place to sleep, not really an issue. The only down side was we had a ground floor room, which meant you could feel the vibrations of the underground. Let me say right up front that the room was small but they all are in London. Beyond that the hotel was great and clean. A good place to sleep and shower. The staff was wonderful. We arrived without our luggage and they were very helpful about where we could shop for clothes as well as get something to eat. Our stuff was delivered the next day by the […] airline and they stored our things safely until we returned from sight seeing. They have free internet in the lobby. Henry VIII is in a great location. Walking distance to lots of shops and specially Portobello Road. The hotel staff is helpful, the breakfast was good, the room was small but OK, it's clean, well maintained and reasonable.

Bottom line: perfectly functional as a base to sightsee in London. I would stay here again. Let me preface this with the fact that I'm an American and six foot tall. With that in mind, my thoughts in no particular order: - The room (a double sized bed) was very compact, smaller than even the guest room in my own home. Two people in the same room would […] easily get in each other's way every so often. - water was hot, bathroom and room were clean and very sharp. - don't think there is A/C in the room. - Left window open at night, could hear the Tube running by every so often, could make trouble for light sleepers. - Centrally located in relation to four different Tube stations, including Paddington that has the Express to/from Heathrow, but all at least five minute walk. -Smallest hotel elevator I've ever seen in my life, maybe 3-1/2 by 4-1/2 feet? Rolling an stroller in there would be tough. - Also, elevator ground floor is the "0" button (not "G"), and the basement is "-1"; nothing wrong, just different. - Hyde Park is maybe a five minute walk, but do have to cross a busy street to actually get to it. - Queensway Rd is a couple streets over and has a lot of restaurants. - Except for the Tube, very quiet neighborhood. Maybe even a little upscale based on the types of cars parked on the streets (e.g. Audi, BMW, Mercedes, Porsche, even saw an Aston-Martin). - Breakfast was satisfactory. "Like getting your head chopped off"
This is the WORST hotel I have stayed in ever. I can not imagine what else they could do wrong. To start there are giant tears in the carpet in the main lobby, hallways and stairs, that will trip you and foul your luggage...dark disgusting stains in the carpets and furniture. Bed sheets are worn out with pills. The walls are so thin you can hear every […] fart and sniff of your neighbor at night. The toilet in our room did not have a proper pipe attached (no S) to trap gases and did not flush properly, the shower had only half a door and then a curtain was thrown up to cover the missing half. The shower head was broken and had no pressure. Complaints to staff were dismissed with "come back later". I found the night guard sleeping. I saw the maintenance man tell the guard "I don't care if people are yelling at you, I'm not going to fix it tonight". I paid up-front for a week in advance but was stuffed into the smallest room in the entire hotel. The ceiling fan was dripping with dust balls. The window was chained shut but the room was suffocatingly hot. When I asked the front desk to move me because of noisy neighbors they told me the room configuration was "confidential information". I explained to them it was public knowledge printed on the map on the back of every door (due to fire code) and they just gave me a blank stare. I realized at some point the staff are nice enough but helpless. All the problems I found pointed to management neglect. I asked day after day for updates on my complaints and was told no one could find the owner and he is the only one who could do anything. Since I paid in advance I did everything I could to make the best of the situation so it would not ruin my trip. The cost of this hotel is outrageously high compared with better hotels all around it. Only after making the reservation I took a look at some reviews for the Henry VIII hotel. I didn't like what I saw. The hotel was describe as a trap for fools... With this notion my wife checked in a day before me. She got a room on the ground floor. It was hard for her to sleep as the sound of passing trains was heard quite loudly. In the morning […] she asked to change a room. From this point, everything was just great. She was moved with no hesitation to the 3rd floor. I joined the next day and we spent a nice weekend in London. The room was clean and comfortable. The hotel staff were polite and helped us find ourselves around. Breakfast was generous and tasty. It was English style and had everything a person will want to start the day off. The location is good as it is 5 minutes walk to the Queensway underground. This was a really quite area within walking distance of Oxford street, close to tube stations, and right next to Hyde park. Staff were friendly and very efficient. Tickets to theatre could be bought at the desk and there were two free access computers in the reception area. Breakfast buffet was fresh and catered for every taste. "Hotel Henry VIII: your wife should be afraid"
Indeed, a hotel that needs refurbishing, extremely poor TV reception, it is a cheap option but you should expect a low 3 stars. Dont accept Room 1 or 2 as they have a view on the backyard where have been placed the fans for the AC system of the hotel. They are extremely noisy, even with closed windows.

After getting to the hotel, found the staff to be very helpful, if hard to understand at first. The rooms were a little tight but neat and clean. One major complaint. Too hot. You can not open windows, there was now air conditioning and the two fans in the room didn't really help. Booked a single room on a reasonable rate. I really just needed a bed to sleep on, rather than comfort, but it was all just a bit TOO basic. I was not disappointed in location (easy access to tube stations at Queensway and Bayswater), but the hotel bar lacks any character (just a bar in the corner of the restaurant) and the room was poor (an attempt […] had clearly been made at modernising but it was a fairly sub-standard finish). Lack of aircon also made sleeping a little difficult on a balmy evening. The fact my window was above the smoking area also did not help. Helt greit hotell. God service fra gjennomgående spansk personale som snakker godt engelsk. Helt ok frokostbuffet. Tepper på alle gulv i hele hotellet - gjør nok noe med inneklimaet. Rommet var trangt (skapdør treffer sengen og lar seg bare åpne på gløtt) og varmt (fikk ikke AC til å virke, men vinduet lot seg åpne), men rent og og ryddig. Meget hyggelig betjening. Frokosten var meget bra i forhold til andre hotell jeg har vært på i England. Rommet var nyoppusset. Nær to undergrundstasjoner(Bayswater og Queensway). Internetttillgangen kunne vært bedre. Et hotel jeg absolutt vil benytte igjen.

Vi hadde tre dager på hotellet og var godt fornøyde med beliggenheten og hotellet generelt. Rommet var lite, men rent og hyggelig. Vi savnet kanskje minibar, men handlet det vi trengte i hotellets bar i underetasjen. Deilig med basseng for 13-åringen, som koste seg der. Frokosten var over forventning. Eggerøre, bacon, tomatbønner, ulike typer pålegg, […] frukt, kaker, frokostblanding, mm. Bra! Stopp for sight seeing busser er like ved, butikker og restauranter er i området. El hotel esta muy bien ubicado. la habitacion y el desayuno son buenos. lo unico que encontre malo es que el piso de madera suena entonces cuando el huesped de arriba camina suena en el cuarto de uno y lo despierta.

Mycket bra hotell i förhållande till pris. Mycket bra frukost! Rent och fint.
