Hotel Unicorno - Firenze

AC did not work , they turn it off begining of Oct even though it was too hot to sleep. Window does not provide any ventilation to room..WiFi was intermittent and only worked the last day there. Staff at front desk was very good and helpful with checking our reservations at other hotels.Short walk to train station, don,t take a cab

Great stay and location. The only problem was the A/C was not cool enough, however, it is August. The front desk receptionist was very nice.

The location is FANTASTIC. You are downtown by all of the major tourists attractions and you have easy access to both the airport and the train station (if you want a cab I recommend you walk the 5 minutes to the train station to get one). The staff speak passable english but don't expect much in the way of recommendations or conversation. The rooms are decent but the bed and the pillows are not the most comfortable. Bandwidth on the wi-fi is low but it is free and available throughout the hotel. The hotel is very well located, near the train station (we can walk with the lugage) and it's not far from the main "piazza". The staff are great, realy helpfull and kindness people. Of course is not the best hotel in Firenze, but the cost/benefict is probably top five.

I absolutely loved this hotel! We stayed in Florence only two days but this was my favorite hotel durling our Italy trip. The staff was very knowledgeable and spoke very good english (I speak some italian but not much). The hotel was also within walking steps to the Doumo and all the sites. It's very modern and very hip yet you still feel the renaissance […] vibe just outside your hotel (castles, museums and renessaince archictecture everywhere). Lots of restaurants near by and very close to all the high end shopping stores. The market was also very close by if you are looking for something more affordable (I purchased a lovely leather bag at a very affordable price). Breakfast included quite a bit to choose from and was very fresh every morning during our stay. The main metro station was also across the street from the hotel yet not close eneough to hear all the traffic or feel like you were near the station. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone! My wife and I stayed during our Honeymoon trip through Europe. This hotel is just a short walk from the Firenze main train station which makes it convenient when traveling. Hotel room was newly decorated and well appointed. However, the lift was accessible only after climbing a flight of stairs so not easy for someone with knee or hip problems. Breakfast buffet was adequate; breakfast room cozy but not matching decor of room. Looks like old hotel updated. Staff was nice and helpful, location very near train station.

This was a great hotel with a very attentive staff, interesting features and enormous room. The only problem I had with this hotel was the lack of AC. They clearly control the electricity with switches behind their front desk and therefore the amount of AC. The tried some crazy story about the amount of AC use being controlled by the government which […] was clearly BS. I checked prices and options at other hotels walking the streets and none knew anything about the AC control. This property is just three blocks from the main train station and right near the most popular sites in Florence. I would recommend this hotel but expect no AC. The Unicorno is OK for those intending to spend most of their day seeing the sights. Fortunately for me, Florence's unreliable sewage system behaved itself. Bed was comfortable, room was clean, though chairs and shower curtain were shabby. Didn't use aircon, so can't comment. Reception was good and staff very pleasant, though not fluent in english, […] which may be an issue if you need to phone. You need to carry your cases up one flight to the lift - this is common in palazzo conversions, so not a complaint, just something to be aware of for older or disabled travellers. It is close to SMN railway station and many tourist points including duomo. Room was clean. One bad thing is that I had to eat exactly same breakfast for 3 days.

Hyggeligt hotel. Ligger perfekt i forhold til prisklassen, og særligt hvis man rejser med tog. Man finder ikke alle de hyggelige restauranter lige rundt om hjørnet, men det tager ikke mere end 10-15 minutter at gå ind til den centrale den af midtbyen. Personalet var flinke og rummet nyistandsat. Morgenmaden var ok.

Helt greit hotel i sentrum av Firenze, ca. 5 min fra jernbanestasjonen. Stort rom med bra seng. Vindu ut mot bakgård, og det ble mørkt i rommet. Badet var lite og dusjdelen hadde trengt oppgradering. Men fungerte greit for de dagene vi var der. Hyggelig betjening. God frokost.

L'hotel si presenta davvero bene, è vicinisssio al centro storico e molto vicino a Pntevecchio, tutto era raggiungibile a piedi. Un ottimo rapporto qualità/presso dato il costo della vita nella città Fiorentina. nelle vicinanze anche trattorie o soterie tipiche dove poter gustare un'ottima fiorentina. l'hotel è davvero centrale, il persoanle gentile […] e poliglotta, fornisce uitli consigli, le camere davvero carine. unico inconveninete non c'è il parcheggio, ma anche il quel casso ci sn state date buone informazione. l'albergo è ottimo come posizione. si trova a 300 metri da piazza della repubblica (vedere su mappa). Il rapporto qualità/prezzo è buono, considerando i prezzi di firenze. all'arrivo ho chiesto informazioni su come raggiungere l'albergo ed il receptionista mi ha dato indicazioni errate per cui sono entrato in una zona a traffico limitato e pertanto […] riceverò una sanzione. il parcheggio vicinissimo all'albergo. E' costato 72 ore per n. 2 notti. Gli albergatori non mi hanno detto che il parcheggio della stazione è vicinissimo e costa meno e che il prezzo di 24 euro è per parcheggio notte/giorno. Pertanto se si parte la mattina presto, conviene comunque ritirare la macchina la sera prima e parcheggiare nelle vincianze, onde evitare il pagamento di 24 euro per poche ore di permanenza nel garage. Unicorno er et meget fint hotel med/til kun 3 stjerner. Det ligger tæt på stationen og der er fin service med parkering til bilen. Alle seværdighederne ligger mellem 8- 15 minutters gang fra hotellet - i det gamle Firenze. Betjeningen var ualmindelig venlig og parat til at hjælpe med alt, også den tunge kuffert. Det eneste jeg ikke fandt var air port […] til macen, men jeg var velkommen til at bruge kabelforbindelsen i vestibulen, og det var der ingen problemer i. Vi var faktisk tilfreds med alt - kun en bemærkning om at det ene værelse havde et bad hvor vandet havde svært ved at løbe til afløbet ;-) Lisätietoja
