"You get what you paid for"
It's not that bad. But I wouldn't rate more than 3 stars. They allow dogs - so my dogs were happy & for only $10 extra, not shabby. But the hotel was pretty run down. Old carpet, old TV (remote didn't work), broken mirror corners, old bedspreads, & the pillow (yes pillow) - was extremely uncomfortable. BUT - we wanted a cheap motel room & that's what […] we got. "Unfriendly"
I arrived late on a Monday night after a long trip from home. I was exhausted! The man greeted me coldly and checked me in. Before I could walk away however he exclaimed, "No parties". I told him I just wanted a good nights sleep. I went to my room and noticed right away how absolutely frigid it was. I cranked up the heater and got out my sleeping bag […] seeing as how the bedding looked questionable at best. I looked around at the dingy room and wasn't impressed. The light in the bathroom barely worked and by that I mean you were lucky if it came on at all. So after crawling into my sleeping bag I quickly fell asleep. The next morning I awoke and called the front desk to ask for a late checkout for noon, the same man from the evening prior allowed me another half an hour. I was surprised at that and yet he still was very rude to me over the phone. I took a shower and was disgusted by the towels which were stained with what looked like grease. I quickly got my gear together and got the hell out of there. I turned in my key and wanted to just say hey I am checking out. The same man didn't even acknowledge me or say thanks for staying. "Econo Lodge in Eureka, CA"
This is NOT a family friendly hotel. The rooms were extremely Dated, and uncomfortably filthy. There were transients roaming the parking lot and even looking through the windows at us and our children. We checked in at 3:00 and were out of there at 3:20. DO NOT STAY HERE>=!!!
"great place to stay for the money"
I have stayed at this location twice. I found them online and was very happy with the accommodations and a great price. Clean and comfortable. Planning to stay another 3 times before the end of November.

The website listed the pet fee as only being $5 per pet, per night, however upon arriving we were charged double that amount. Attendant was also not very friendly and at time rude.

Five Stars its not, but it was clean available room okay a little dark . free wi fi but difficult to get to an available outlet... okay for work related travel

"Listen to the Reviews and Stay Far Away"
Unfortunately, I decided to ignore the warnings and make reservations at this hotel because I thought, "we're only sleeping there... how bad can it be?" It was SO bad that I doubt I will ever stay at another Econo Lodge. The employee at the counter was quiet and unfriendly. He spoke about 6 words to me, "I need your ID." And "Room 115" The room smelled […] SO bad, even opening the window and door didn't help. The floor was disgusting and I required my family to wear socks or shoes at all times. The bathrom had mold all over the floor and the shower curtain smelled like laundry that's been sitting in the dryer for a week. The lamps were unplugged and when I moved the bedside table to reach the cord, it was piled an inch high with dust and debris. It's never been vaccumed. My 3 children refused to swim in the pool after checking it out and being thouroughly disgusted. They advertise a complimentary continental breakfast, but it appeared to be stale muffins and a pitcher of OJ. We skipped it. I suggest you skip the hotel entirely. Lisätietoja

This hotel is old and nasty... It actually verges on UNSAFE!

The pool is in its own small building with no room key or anything else required to enter. The street kids who followed us in said the water seemed warm before they started talking about their open sores... after which we promptly left the building. Dodgy place . Dirty carpets with a inch of dust behind the bed . Dirty sock behind the bed . Behind every door was filth , Sticky floors .it looks like a halfway house , I'm not one to judge people but I was glad to leave the place , I paid way to much , $10 would of been too much Poor poor poor
Somewhat loud and in a not pretty section of town. Outside lights were not working on our section of the Motel. However, the owners were very nice, the pool looked clean, room was clean and comfortable enough. I wouldn't recommend for a base, or a place to hang out, but for a single night stay it is fine.

Eureka Is one scary place, The "Hotel" was dirty and the neighborhood was sketchy at best. Eureka needs a new Mayor and some brooms
"Econolodge"
There were bleach stains on the floor one outlet to plug anything into if I unplugged a lamp that was behind the tv and hard to get to. The toilet ran all night. Not as loud as I thought for the location.

Clean & economical. The room was good, clean and my bed was comfortable. Continental Breakfast was real cheap...but so was the room. I got coffee and a half a muffin and a half slice of raisin bread - I didn't see any butter or jam. No smoking room was nice but other "smoking" tenants in no smoking room smoked outside their room, right next to my room […] so smoke came in when I opened the door. "Eureka Econo Lodge"
This is a perfect example of "you get what you pay for" -- I picked the lowest price option in Eureka and I got nothing more, nothing less. Econo Lodge is a good place to stop for one night, but if you are planning to stay a while, I would look for a cleaner place in a nicer neighborhood.

Management was kind, polite, and occomodating. Parking was a premium. Check in early for best room selection. Price was right, location was convenient.

The hotel is located on the main drag so it extremely easy to find. The room was clean and quite! The have an enclosed swimming pool so we where able to take a dip even though the weather was cool. We would stay with them again!

Price is important to me. There was a wonderful swimmin pool (also important). Close to fun restaurants.

I spent a few nights in an Econo Lodge outside of Portland, OR and the experience was fine and a terrific value, so I thought that trying another Econo Lodge in another city would be a safe bet. I couldn't have been more wrong. This hotel is located right where highway 101 splits so you get constant traffic noise. There was a traffic light directly […] outside of my room window. The desk person was usually standing in the parking lot smoking a cigarette. The complimentary breakfast is a step below what you would find in a vending machine. The room was a vile mess. "needs improvement"
This hotel's breakfast consisted of coffee and doughnuts. For the same price, we stayed in a nearby hotel that had large,clean rooms with a full breakfast.

I wasn't expecting much for the price, but this was bad. Beds were very uncomfortable. We booked for three people and had to ask for more towels every day, because they would only put two in the room. The towels were very thin. The only thing we liked was the water pressure in the shower was excellent.

I guess what i cannot believe is that we were there for three days and they never came in to change the beds or pick up the trash. Never gave clean towels and when we asked for more they were like why! Then we had people fighting outside our building and no one came and did anything.
