Manhattanille n. 10-15 min metromatka. Hotelli siisti, huoneet tilavat ja hyvin toimiva siivous. Aamiainen perusamerikkalainen eli kaikenlaista pullaa löytyy. Bonuksena aamiaishuoneen kuumahuoma-automaatti, joka on käytössä pitkin päivää. Ruuhka-aikoina liikeenteen melua. Viereissä Mobil-huoltamo, jossa pieni sekatavaramarket. Seuraavassa korttelissa viinakauppa, pesula ja Deli. Lähin metroasema Queensboro Plaza (200m).

Hyvä hinta- laatu suhde. sijainti oli aivan loistava ja mikä itselle tärkeintä huone siisti eikä torakoita tai muita vierailijoita ilmaantunut. Toki huone oli erittäin pieni ja remontti vähän sinne päin tehty, mutta oikein siisti ja tyylikäs. Remontti oli vielä kesken, mutta huoneeseemme 20. kerrokseen siitä ei ainakaan häiriötä aiheutunut. Ystävällinen henkilö kunta.

We had 2 queen size bed and the room for four was big enough to overnight, but if you are going to spend more time in hotel room, four might be too many. This hotel is perfectly located when visiting MSG. We also walked to Empire State building and to Rockefeller center, but some could find this walking distance too long. There is a very delicious breakfast available next to lobby at $18, which we enjoyed both mornings. The hotel price was reasonable.

My partner and I have stayed in Thompson Hotels all over the world, so we were incredibly surprised to be so let down by this dud of a property. Let me tell you, the lobby is gorgeous and its hotel bar and restaurant are extremely well appointed, but the rooms in this location are bland, boring and not worth the money. We also had problems with one […] very rude front office staff, and housekeeping. (We were told they had problems with too many late check outs, and not enough cleaning staff--- that is why our rooms wen't cleaned until at least 5 pm one evening, and don't even think about an early check in --despite what they may tell you in advance.) The hotel is beautiful, the staff is very kind, the location is excellent but hard for car service to find because the address is not accurate for the front entrance. I've stayed at this property twice now. First time the staff forgot to call to wake me up two days in a row! They have an antiquated wake up call system -- the staff does it, but they […] are never on time with it. First time they were a half hour late, second time a full hour late. This most recent time I stayed there, the staff was 10 minutes late with the wake up call. I will bring two alarm clocks if I ever stay there again. From the time I was met by the Valet, until the time I checked out, leaving the Valet - my stay was solid. Great location for the purposes of my downtown business trip, staff was courteous and very helpful throughout my 3 day, two night stay. I like the feel of the hotel and the amenities were fine. There is a feeling of a being in a european hunting lodge. The only issue was the bathroom door is somewhat see through and this made the female members of the group uncomfortable. As per usual a good stay at Gild Hall. On this occasion there was a water leak from the bathroom in the neighboring room which cause a small section of carpet to become damp. I reported the problem on discovery in the morning and the Staff responded promptly and courteously to come to my room within minutes to see the problem. I was dubious about staying around Wall St at the weekend, but it's great spot - you can walk over the Brooklyn Bridge which is nearby, or you can jump on the subway at Fulton and be anywhere uptown in a matter of minutes. Gild Hall is extreme beautiful. Upon entering the building you get the feeling of being in a Colorado hunting lodge. Rustic decor, animal furs, and a Western US appeal welcome you. My husband and I spent the weekend in NYC. Our purpose was to see NYC as opposed to remaining in a hotel room. The Gild Hall was so close to restaurants and diners; all open as well as the subway. We really enjoyed our stay there. And yes, even Starbucks is 10 seconds away! My only complaint is one expressed by many. The door to the washroom is not […] a solid door. "Most comfortable bed I've ever slept in!"
We usually visit NYC 2 times a year to take in a show and dinner, so we stay near Times Square. We stayed at the Gild Hotel due to its proximity to a family wedding.. "An uneven experience"
On the one hand, the linens and the plush robe were just what we expected for a boutique hotel. On the other hand, when a boutique hotel lists as one of its amenities the brand of shampoo, etc. that it provides, one expects to get more than just shampoo and conditioner--there wasn't even body lotion! We chose this hotel, in part, because of its on-site […] restaurant: we are informed upon arrival that it is closed in anticipation of a new restaurant coming in: since the hotel had our email address, a heads-up would not have been much trouble for them. The room lacked a coffee-maker--how can that be in this day and age!?! Again, for its luxurious build-up--we got exactly 2 towels, hand towels and wash cloths. The site said turndown service. We asked for our room to be refreshed after 4pm--that happened, but not turndown service. The ice bucket--a glass container, not insulated that held less than 2 cups of ice. "Great Experience!"
This was a great hotel. Beautiful and masculine which is unusual. The service was excellent and I would certainly stay again. "Comfy hotel w/ character & good service"
At first I was hesitant about staying in the financial district of NY, but was pleasantly surprised. The neighborhood was very quiet Fri.-Sun. and we felt safe walking around to local cafes, grocery store, the South Street Seaport boardwalk area, and even to Chinatown & Little Italy. The interior design of Gild Hall has lots of character and the multi-lingual […] staff was super friendly and helpful. At check-in the staff offered us complimentary glasses of champagne. The sheets were so soft and housekeeping promptly responded to all requests. We weren't thrilled about the transparency of the bathroom door, but the nice terrycloth robes helped with that issue.
