Comfort Inn Near Lake Coeur D'Alene - Post Falls

This place was not much fun for any of us. We had just spent the previous night at the Comfort Inn & Suites in Spokane Valley and had a wonderful experience. We had similar expectations since we were staying at another Comfort Inn relatively close to the other one. Boy were we wrong...... Upon arrival I immediately noticed the property appeared much […] older. Once I checked in, I was astounded to find out there is not an elevator. I have a huge family and as such we had many bags. I could hardly sleep in the night due to the noise levels and constant door slamming. The carpet is and bedding is very out dated and looked dirty. And the hot free breakfast they advertise is not even marginal ! The staff did not seemed concerned with customer service at all. Do your self a favor and stay at the one in Spokane Valley. Good for the price. Hotel did not have an elevator..which made it difficult for me to walk up the stairs since I had a foot operation earlier. Don't know if I ever stayed at a motel without one? People were very friendly. Didn't have any shaving cream for me which the airport confiscated! The room was comfortable and clean, and the hotel staff made sure that towels were replaced daily. We had forgotten to pack toothbrushes and dental floss, and these were available at the front desk. Check-in and check-out were hassle free. We will have to make a trip to Post Falls again next year, and will definitely be booking a room here again.

Helpful staff and clean well kept rooms. Great location. The hotel was close to everything you could need and great places to eat. We always stay at the same hotel because it's close to our friends house whom we go there to visit. Everything else is just a plus:). Beautifully decorated hotel for Christmas. Room & lobby were very clean & comfortable. Service was good. Breakfast was very good with a nice variety of foods to choose from. Beds were firm yet comfortable. Loved the game room. Excellent overnight stay. Exceptional motel, especially for the price. Hotel was clean, staff friendly. The beds were very firm but did not cause a back ache. The quietness of the rooms was great! The shower ran out of hot water (during busy morning). The room was ok. No fridge or microwave. Bed felt like sleeping on a rock. Not a place I will stay again.

The room and lobby was clean, no perks like a pool and breakfast was nothing to write home about. The scrambled eggs that they served, I think were powdered eggs. It Had a cigarette smoke smell in the hallway of a non smoking rooms area. No elevator so had to carry suitcase up a flight of stairs and walls in halls dirty.

When checking in we had to wait about 20 - 25 minutes for the Service person to get off the phone to help us. He kept taking reservations one after the other and would not help us while we were standing there. The breakfast eggs were powder and horrible. The bed was hard. Other than that all ok.

Head Borads of bed were dirty. The refrigator had a bad oder. There were long black hair on the bed sheets. could not enter hotel from side door it was covered by a bush. House keeping came when room was still occupied. use of pool was way down town in coeur D'Alane. Was disappointing from other Comfort Inns we have stayed at.

Great hotel however it would be nice to have an elevator or something that big, heavy luggages can push upstairs not just to carry them to upstairs! And also a mini refrigerator is great also......

We stayed at the hotel 3 nites, initially the room was clean however they did not vacuum the following 2 days. the hotel advertised free hot breakfast, which was true in that the eggs were hot if you were at breakfast at 6 am. That said, the eggs were hardly edible. There was only apple juice, no orange juice as it was apparrently on back order. On […] the final day even the apple juice was watered down. They ran out of yogurt after the first day and on the third day the waffle maker was out of order. ick, yuck, no refrigerator, bathroom dirty, carpeting stained. Nothing like eating breakfast with a big dog next to you. The hotel was did not have a elevtoir and we had a loit of baggage, I asked the clerk if they had a elevtor and all I gave was a dirty look. Overall, not a bad place to stay. The staff was very friendly & they let us check in early. The beds were a little firmer than we preferred, but not the worst we've ever slept on. Hotel was clean and quiet. My room was in the front of the building, but there was no noise and couldn't hear the highway. Easy enough to find. Breakfast had a good variety to choose from.

Overall hotel was pleasant; location to Spokane and Coeur d' Alene was just right without being in either. Spent one night on Friday; thought breakfast went to at least 10 am on Saturday so got downstairs about 5-10 minutes after 9 am to find that everything was already cleaned up and put away. No elevator had us booked in a room upstairs had to relocate to there only down stairs room due to handicap put us in a room next to exit doors and staircase people coming and going all night!! Staircase was the worse luggage thumping all night!! Rooms were good exept beds were hard as a rock!! Other than that would have been a nice stay

We stayed for 2 nights. The room was renovated and clean other than that the bathroom needed some work (e.g. water drain for tub/shower was clogged up, poor ventilation) and no elevators. Breakfast was okay, scrambed eggs don't taste 'real' and front desk attendant had to do everything including re-stock the breakfast area. Overall the room was very clean and the staff was friendly. The bed was a bit hard and uncomfortable but there were very up to date electronics in the room. However the shower didn't drain and water didn't push through the showerhead.

We were impressed with the cleanliness of the room and friendliness of the staff. The mattress was harder than we are accustomed to having in a motel, however, we realize there are many people who prefer that.

Nice facility with updated finishes. The furniture in the room was somewhat dated while the flooring, bath fixtures and walls were recently updated (granite, tile and textured wallpaper) leaving a clean and modern aesthic to the room. The area surrounding the hotel is somewhat odd, (RV sales next door) but very convenient for the I90 traveler

A very pleasant stay. A very clean and friendly hotel. We thought ,from the description, that we were going to be staying in downtown Coeur D'Alene but this location in Post Falls suited our needs very well as it was only a short drive off the Highway to the heart of town. We would stay here again on our travels

The hotel was very clean, and the room was comfortable, the only thing I would have liked, is that this location had a pool and hot tub, like their other location, and that in the hot breakfast, would have scrambled eggs, sausage, and bacon. Instead of just hard boiled eggs. Although the waffles were good, and the employees were friendly.

When I called back to upgrade my room to have a microwave and fridge the clerk said that would be an additional $10 a night but for me he would just charge $10. I thought, great! When we got there, he changed his tune and said that it would be $10 for each night. I know this wasn't true and told him thats not what he said on the phone. Regardless, I […] didnt want to argue and lose out on a place to stay with my 2 kids in tow that I just gave him my card and let him charge the additional $30. I wasn't happy with the front desk service but the breakfast wasn't bad, wasn't great either and it was only served from 7-9. Hardly long enough with pre-teens who sleep in to 9 even on vacation!! We stayed one night in the Comfort Inn in Post Falls, Idaho. Although the hotel seems a bit dated the room was comfortable and clean. The service of the employee's in this facility was excellent. They went out of their way to make you feel welcome and at ease and were very helpful.

Stayed here many, many times, and the rooms always had a mini frig and micro wave in them. The last two times i stayed there, they no longer have the mini frig or microwaves in the rooms. No clue why, but that's a deal breaker for me. Will not be staying there again, and wouldnt recommend them.

We were greeted warmly on a cold winter day. Our room was ready and we appreciated an early check in on the ground floor as requested. The room was clean and fresh and comfortably appointed. It was a very frustrating and long check-in. We had gotten into town late with two kids and spent an extra 45 minutes just to get a room that was already paid for!!!!!

I found the front desk to be helpful and personable. It was pretty close to Couer d'Alene which was a plus. Quite and restful.
