The staff were nice and knowledgeable. Is was pleased with the food and the hotel.

I faced two majoir problemes, a poor internet connection speed and the Elevator Noise. 1. I was in room 617 that was close to elevator. Every time the elevator passes throught the floor, there was a elevator scratching noise. I could not catch a sleep thoughout the night. 2. The internet connection speed was extremely poor. I could not connect to […] my office network through RSA through the WiFi. After trying for more than 30 mins, I connected to the LAN cable. This allowed me to connect to the office network but the connection speed was so poor that it took 20 mins for me to send one email with an attachment of 1 MB. Apart from that the connection speed really afftected my work. A 15 mins work took me around 2 hrs. Lisätietoja

my room was booked using hotel.com. booking confirmation was for 2 double beds. When i checked-in i was initially given a serice room - pull-out bed from couch. wasn't until i pulled-out a copy of my reservation and proved that i had reserved a room with 2 double beds that an alternative room was given to me. the room i ended-up with was with 1 double […] or king, which was fine as i did not need 2 beds, but i eneded-up right next to the elevators which were very loud every time used. i need to commend the service from the Rep that checked me in. She was very helpful, took the time to point-out tio me that i was given the service room (otherwise i would have taken the room and then had to return to the service desk to get a different room), and handled my paperwork - very good customer service. her suprevisor at the desk was who gave me my rooms - eventhough i was standing 3 feet away, did not speak to me or the other Rep, appeared very out-out that i was checking-in to the hotel, and, if not for the persitence of myself and the support of the other Rep, appeared not to want to resolve the situation. i chose not to change rooms again as i did not hear the elevator noise issue until i was settled into my room and i was checking out the next morning. The staff was very Friendly, enjoyed the warm apple cider they had in the cold and raining evening. Had shuttle service to/from the train station, which was nice and timely. They made my stay much more enjoyable.

We attended a wedding reception 11-5 at this double tree. I feel the bride and groom got their money's worth! It was a VERY nice event, Cocktail hour, with an amazing assortment of hordourves, dinner was to die for with dessert, I believe it included ice scuplture, wedding cake, groom cake and many more extras that I can't remember. We live in wilmington, […] but opted to stay at the hotel since the surrounding areas have DUI checks every weekend, we felt the cost of the hotel was worth paying than trying to make it home. Overall real nice place. I was there for a wedding and they hotel was packed for charity softball game as well. Only issue was parking cost $15 a night through hotel and only $10 if I didn't tell them I had a car. My fiance paid $10 a night. That was annoying.

What can I say.. I got everything that was expected. Was within walking distance of my concert @ the Queen. Only thing that could have made this stay any better would have been if the parking was free, but that might have been pushing it.

This is a solid Doubletree Experience. It's probably most convenient for business travelers: close to the train/rental cars, solid fitness center, and - always - the warm cookie at arrival. There's also free overnight garage parking attached to the hotel.

Very nice, close to Court House

If you are running the Marathon in Wilminton this is good place to stay because it is located a half mile from the start and finish of the race. Roon was clean & comfortable and breakfast was good enough to carb up the morning before the marathon. Location of Hotel is bad. Downtown Wilmington is closed on the weekends. This hotel is a real sleeper, if you'll excuse the pun. Located on King Street in Downtown Wilmington, the Doubletree is convenient to all city locations, particularly the courthouses, federal and state. Immaculately clean, modern rooms and bathrooms, with a great in-room all-day dining menu. (Try the crab cakes cooked in a light tomato sauce, sided […] with mashed potatos -- they were first rate!). Hotel service is friendly and fast. I especially appreciated the giant chocolate chip chip cookie I got at check-in too. With a fitness room and full breakfast dining, this was a good pick for my business trip to Wilmington. I shall return! Lisätietoja

Hotel we fine for a business traveller and the front desk staff were very good. the executive room was good and large and very quiet. I slept fantastically. The bar looked a bit deserted, as did downtown wilmington, and the pool is quite utilitarian - and i can not comment on the hotel food as i did not have any - though the complimentary hot cookie […] at check in was delicious. We were not happy with our room overlooking the indoor pool, and they were unable to switch us. Children were playing and banging into our door until 10 pm. The doors to the rooms slammed shut all night, which woke us up continually. We were staying at this hotel because of a race we were running in the next morning. We put a slip outside of our door […] for room service to be deliverd at 6:00am (a box offered that time). At 6:30, with no delivery, we called room service and they explained that they don't open until 7 on Sunday's. We waited until 7:30, still no delivery, we called back to cancel our order. When we walked out to head to our race, we noticed that coffee was set up in the main lobby, which was never brought to our attention. Overall, completely dissatisfied with our stay. Lisätietoja

This was our second stay in Wilmington recently, having stayed at the Hotel Dupont the first time. The rates at the Dupont this time round were prohibitive, so the Doubletree was not our first choice. The room was clean and comfortable, the staff very freindly and accommodating. My daughter, granddaughter & I stayed at the Doubletree in Wilmington because my granddaughter was having her tonsils removed at DuPont Hospital for Children. The distance and drive to the hospital is perfect, about 10 minutes. The staff was wonderful and could not have been more accomodating. When they heard why we were there they were even more helpful. […] Surgery was Outpatient, but living 3 hrs away we stayed a second night at the Doubletree to be close to the hospital. We went out and purchased Popsicles and Ice Cream for our little patient. The front desk staff sent our purchase to the freezer and told us not to worry, if we needed any of it, just call the front desk and they would bring it up...That night we did have an emergency and had to return to the hospital. In the wee early hours the staff was right there helping us get things to our car and trying to comfort us. The only draw back to this property is it's location....Downtown Wilmington is not the most desirable place to be, however we felt perfectly safe and taken care of while we were there. We stayed here during our trip for a family wedding. We have stayed at Doubletree before and have not been disappointed. I would recommend this hotel. The only down sides are I did not feel safe walking through the garage at 2:00 in the morning when we arrived for check in. It was not very comforting when the garage clerk told us to take with us anything […] we did not want "thieves" getting (his words). The other set back was we were told by the same garage clerk that our parking would be included in our room rate only to be told it would be an additional daily fee by the hotel staff. So BE AWARE...you have to pay for parking. And this is the only place to park nearby. Otherwise, we were quite comfortable, staff was friendly and our room was clean (with the exception of a slight mildew odor coming from one vent) and beds were cozy. Lisätietoja

Enjoyed this hotel, I always like Doubletree, and this hotel didn't let me down. Beds were comfy, bathroom clean and I would definitely recommend it overall. The only thing negative I have to say is I thought that I would have parking included and it wasn't at all - you have to pay extra.

The hotel was nice, but dated. The room decor was more modern. Our room was nice, but we saw other rooms that were much nicer. The bathroom was small but beautiful. The room did not have enough wall plugs. Great coffee, but no plug near the coffee maker. We had to move it to the desk to have coffee.

I was pleased with my stay. This is my third stay at that hotel.

We had stayed here twice before (once each summer during the last two years) and enjoyed our stays but we were disappointed to find that the hotel had declined in cleanliness and service. We initially could not get the two-bed room we had reserved even though it was late in the afternoon and all the rooms should have been ready by then. We reluctantly […] took a single bed room, but then found the bathroom had not been cleaned adequately. There was a candy wrapper on the floor and hair in the tub. The final straw was picking up a filthy TV remote control. We demanded another room and was finally given what we had reserved. but then again found hair in the bathtub. They used to have a good complimentary breakfast. Not anymore. There was no one there to make omelets. The scrambled eggs were inedible. No one was taking care of the breakfast bar at all. There was a sign saying there was biscuits and gravy -- but I was told they stopped offering gravy. We had a voucher for the breakfast, but I definitely would not pay the $13.95 they wanted for such a sorry spread. This hotel needs to get its act together. There's no reason in this economy not to have an adequate staff to thoroughly clean rooms and serve a proper breakfast. Lisätietoja
