Holiday Inn Express Grover Beach - Grover Beach

Rooms facing highway, only 200 ft from Highway 1 Rooms only had single pane windows, thus lots of road noise, especially from trucks in morning. I asked for another room, but they said none were available, only 1 next to Ice machine. The hotel didn't seem very full!

This is the third time we have stayed at this hotel. I will stay again. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The staff are all wonderful. Recomend.!

I have stayed here many times on business and expect to continue to do so. Great hotel, great breakfast, great service. You'll love it!

This Hotel is gorgeous, the beds are huge and soft and simply wonderful. The Location is centrally located near the Monarch Butterfly Park and also the local theater. A real nice bonus is the free Breakfast, which goes way beyond dried out pastries and semi cold juice, a must visit,

I've stayed here many times on business in the past. Must have been a management change, as they no longer offer complimentary cookies or bottled water at check-in. Also, they just recently replaced the light switches in the rooms. The light in the bathroom kept turning itself on. I thought I'd figured out how to switch it off, but was awakened at 4:30 […] AM to my room fully lit up. The bathroom light came on again all by itself. Weird. Our stay at the Grover Beach location was good, it was close to 101 freeway and many of the local businesses nearby. This was our second time at the Holiday Inn Express and I know that we'll stop here again, room was very clean and it had a fireplace, good to have on a raining night.

The staff was exceptionally kind and helpful. I had a friend with me who is in a wheelchair. The buffet breakfast is quite good - loved the hot cinnamon rolls! Beds comfortable, nice pillows. Lovely view east of the hills. We had a handicap room which didn't quite suit the needs of my friend. The hotel needs updating terrible TV, air conditioner, Cricket in bathroom and huge fly in room. Bed was outstanding! And location of room was great. Desk attendents were wonderful.

The room was clean, however they put us in the older section of the hotel. Two complaints: There's a swamp-like cooler in room, no central heat and air, so the room got a little stuffy at night and there are no movie rentals. Other than that, it was clean and big enough. I've stayed at this hotel twice. The rooms are good sized, clean, and the beds are very comfortable. My favorite part of this hotel is the jacuzzi hot tub next to the pool which is why I came back. But also the staff is friendly and they have a nice continental breakfast. There is a nice restaurant right across the parking lot, shopping close by and […] good freeway access. It is clean, neat, convienent, up to date. Only drawback is it is next to freeway. Ask for room away from freeway!! Othewise car noise is loud at times and can be troublesome. They will locate you away from freeway if you ask. Otherwise hotel is perfect and I would stay again as long as room is away from noise.

This hotel was perfect for our vacationing family of four. The location was close to beautiful beaches, great restaurants and wonderful shopping. Our room was nicely sized and the relaxing balcony was a bonus! Our kids loved the swimming pool and we met other nice families as well. Nice room. friendly staff. Short drive to a very beautiful beach that connects to Pismo beach.

Our room was comfortable, the breakfast was good. Easy freeway access to other towns.

The hotel was overpriced for the quality of the room. The beds were not especially comfortable and the furnishings were old, beat up desk, older model TV, etc. and the room smelled like mildew! Really liked this hotel. It is on several different levels so you must be able to climb stairs. Pool and spa clean and heated. We were the only ones in the pool and only one other couple in spa. Bed was super comfy, lots of pillows. Great free breakfast and everyone was very polite and friendly.

Very clean, affordable, highly recommended if in the area.

On the good side this hotel has very friendly staff, good breakfast and it is very near the Pismo beach. Only downside is the curtains does not cover the window and the room is little bright in the night.

Holiday Inn Grover Beach is a good place to stay if you are just looking for a hotel that is clean, and convenient to Pismo Beach. Overall it is a nice hotel. It is not fancy, but it was comfortable. The employees are super friendly and helpful. The included breakfast was fantastic. The A/C didn't cool that great, but the bed was one of the most comfortable I've ever slept on in a hotel. I would definitely recommend this place and stay there again!

We had a wonderful two-night stay at the Holiday Inn Express in Grover Beach. The staff was extremely helpful. We arrived at about noon and asked if we could swim in the pool while waiting for our room and the manager said that would be fine. Our 4 year old daughter loved the pool which was very clean and heated to just the right temperature. The manager […] later came out personally to the pool to tell us that our room was ready -- he took my credit card and gave us our room keys, went back to the office to run the credit card, and came back to return it to me -- all without me even having to leave the pool! The room was immaculate and the air conditioning was already set at a perfect 74 degrees. It is adjustable, of course. The two queen beds were comfortable, each with fitted sheets and a choice of two soft pillows or firm pillows (labeled as such on the pillowcases.) The breakfast buffet was outstanding. We had scrambled eggs, bacon, biscuits and gravy, pancakes, cinnamon rolls, a choice of 4 different juices, coffee, a variety of cold and hot cereals, fresh fruit, and more. The only problem we had was with the shower. For some reason you could not blend the cold and hot water temperature. It was either completely cold or too hot. We notified the manager, and he took care of it right away and was very apologetic and gracious about it. Soon the shower controls worked just fine. Pismo Beach is one of our favorite vacation spots, and it only took a few minutes to get there from the hotel. The hotel gave us a coupon to use at A.J. Spurs, a steakhouse restaurant which shares the hotel parking lot. We had dinner there and it was wonderful. We will definitely be coming back to this hotel. It was worth the extra money that we spent compared to several cheaper budget motels in the area where we've stayed in the past. It's a lost art these days...customer service. If its not present, then largely its phony. Ever get greeted before you walk through the door because you know it's policy. Then when you ask the person how their day is you get the robotic "I am fine, thank you. Take me to your leader." Anyway, all is the antithesis at the Holiday Inn Express at Grover […] Beach. Sincerely nice people both at the desk and remarkably refreshing, the services group who maintain the rooms and grounds. If they're in good spirits then you know they are well taken care of - and that creates a good feeling. Anyway, the room was clean and updated and beds superbly comfortable. The pool was clean and friendly. Its located right next to a very affordable and solid "AJs" - another friendly joint with hearty food. Rooms are renovated, however the halls and room doors are old. Customer service is good and the breakfast is a good variety. This hotel is located right off the 101.

Great place to stay in the area. Everything was clean and comfy! No bad smells. Complimentary breakfast was awesome and included real scrambled eggs and bacon, biscuits and gravy, and yummy warm cinnamon rolls. Pool area looked beautiful. Very close to Hiway 101 without the noise. Within a couple of miles of Starbucks, K Mart, WalMart and the outlets. Breakfast was excellent!! Hot eggs, biscuits and gravy and pancakes along with the usual "sweets" made it a great start for the day. The only complaint was the iron that would shut itself off in the middle of ironing. I didn't get what I was asked ! I asked for smoke room next to the beach Guess what I got!!! I got non smoking Hotel next to the high way!! I am not gonna call u again and ask for any help

We recently stayed at this hotel for 2 nights. It was just perfect for my Wife and 2 yr old daughter. It was super comfy, clean, and very quiet! It is right off on the 101 freeway, so it is very easy to find. We were in town to visit friends in Santa Maria, which was just 20 mins south on 101. Also visited Avila Beach which was about 10 mins north on […] 101. This hotel is very close and convenient to everything. It is also located right next to Pismo outlets. We did not eat at AJ Spurs restaurant next door, but just about 1 mile west of the hotel was the main street Grand ave which has just about everything you need to eat. We had Orcutt Burgers for lunch one day. Very very good! And I recommend The Girls for breakfast. Awesome biscuits and gravy! Probably the best I've had! Overall stay was excellent! It was very close to pismo and very clean. The staff was great. If you are going to Pismo Beach I recommend it.

Clean, good value for money, friendly service, everything a Holiday Inn Express should be. It provided a welcome and restful overnight stop en route from San Francisco to LA.

Everything was great with this facility. There were four of us staying in one room and we were all comfortable. The breakfast was very good as well. Such a money saver when traveling with four people. Love the free breakfast.
