Red Roof Inn San Antonio Lackland - San Antonio

The room was standard and very simple, it was always clean and my bed was always made. Staff was great my stay was great I would definitely stay there again.

The staff at the hotel was nice, but the beds were rock hard! I was in pain after sleeping on the bed. It looks like they have tried to update the hotel a little bit, but the carpet needs replacing or a good cleaning (felt sticky when walked on) and the beds need replaced.

Would not stay again. Room only had 2 outlets. had to buy a power extention bar to charge our phones and computers. The refrigerator in room did not work, had to have it replaced. The replacement didn't cool well, had to get it fixed. The room was very small, the bathroom even smaller.

I am a navy wife and have stayed in many hotels. I think I have a high tolerance for hotels and just flow with the punches. But this hotel is by far the worst I've ever stayed in. The room was beyond dirty. It was not vacuumed, the tub was filthy, the toilet had blood stains on the side, it was just deplorable! Absolutely nothing positive to say!

I made two reservations for the same week, one for Wednesday night, after which I intended to check out and travel for a few more days, and return Friday night for the second reservation. I ended up extending the first reservation and checking out Friday. But when I wanted to check back in for the Friday reservation, which was an entirely separate reservation, […] they wouldn't give me the room and said they'd given it to someone else because I'd checked out. An understandable miscommunication, but since I had a separate reservation for Friday, there was no reason to give my room away. When I was trying to work this out with them, the woman initially told me multiple times that I had no reservation, before admitting that she'd given it away. Checking in and checking out was a breeze, not to mention the price. I only spent the weekend here, and the area immediately surrounding the hotel wasn't exactly tourist-worthy to me, but I was less than 10 minutes from where I hung out most of the weekend, so it was right up my ally. The amenities of the hotel was limited. There were no laundry bag, facial tissues, or hand lotion in my hotel room. Also, there was only one small trash can, and two small soaps in the room. And the remote control for the television only worked for the up-and-down channels. The push button direct channel numbers on the remote control did not work.

I've stayed at Red Roof inn hotels before and was pleased with the quality of the room... This stay however.. Not so much. I felt like I was in a room and a low value budget motel. Tv was plugged in an overloaded extension cord and was wrapped over the dresser. The small business desk area had a lamp.. But there was no outlet to plug it in. I was given a key 3 times and none would open my door so I was moved to a different room. Then, at midnight another guest was also given a key to my room and they proceeded to enter my room. I called the front desk and was told that it was due to switching rooms, which wasn't my fault. I was not given a proper apology nor was I compensated in any way. […] I am VERY displeased with my stay and will never stay at another Red Roof Inn anywhere again. Being fair the hotel is clean but it's not in a very good neighborhood and it's more of a motel rather than a hotel. Room was excellent and convenient; however, requesting a ground level access room-wife has trouble climbing stairs-we were informed reserving such requests are not necessarily honored, but may be asked for at arrival. Even though we were provided a ground level room, this was a downer for us to be informed upon arrival.

Lights did not work, old hotel and needs repairs. I will find another location for my next visit.

Cold air constanlty blasted into the room. If you tried to make an adjustment to the thermostat, the unit made a strange noise. In addition, the plumbing in the bathroom ran continuously. Overall, it was a very noisy night and not much sleep happened.

Could have been cleaner and the room smelled like paint. It was nearly impossible to regulate the fan. Thank goodness there was a Denny's across the parking lot.

Its great they have a laundry room but should have a machine to paper money into coins! Great please to stay for a layover, especially if it's just a place to sleep and stay out all day!

the staff was very helpful. we were there for basic training grad. they helped with directions to everything. the only thing i would say to put in the rooms. are tissues and pen and paper

Stayed at this hotel for my brothers AFB graduation since its really close. My family had no problems with the hotel and its surrounded by several food stores and restaraunts :)

This hotel was one of the worst I've stayed in concerning the service. Although I didn't expect much for the price, I did expect to receive the basic necessaties. Like shampoo, soap, and enough towels. When asked for these things and having waited for 2 hours I had to continually walk all the way up to the lobby to get them myself. There was paint peeling in the tub and sand coming out the shower. Also there weren't enough available outlets to plug in computers and cell phones. Otherwise it was okay.

Very gross. Someone had left water bottles in our room and we drank them by mistake. There was trash around that we hadn't left. They did not clean the bathroom in 4 Nights. The initial room was dirty. The second room the AC barely worked. The third room was adequate at best. Since we had a small dog there was no room service, we had to go and get clean linen and towels. Very disappointed for the price.

Excellent place to stay for BMT Graduation. A/C was left on for us which was great. Nice staff, close to food and attractions. I wish the breakfast had more choices, but was satisfactory. I would stay again.

We were there because of an Air Force Graduation, so it was perfect location for access to the base.The room was clean and comfortable. Unlike other places we have stayed, we didn't realize that if you put the do not disturb sign out just for morning that you did not receive maid service for that day at all. The pool needed cleaning....but it was perfect […] for a nice foot dip and the temp seemed just right. The towels have gotten a little thin but the the people there were great and the price was good.
