Hampton Inn San Francisco Airport North - South San Francisco

It was a very refreshing stay after getting off the plane and spending 3 days travling around seeing Alcatraz and hop on / hop off bus to tour the city.I loved the breakfast buffet.

I am delighted to recommend this hotel to anyone staying in South San Francisco. From the moment we stepped into the hotel we were warmly welcomed by Charissa the front desk manager. The hotel was very clean and the breakfest was good. However there is NO pool any more and a pool was advertised on this website!!! The staff was okay but could be friendlier.

Stayed at this hotel March 2012 with spouse and 2 kids. Was very convenient because it was near the airport and had a shuttle. Only stayed one night. Asked front desk to recommend a restaurant nearby (expected to eat at some chain restaurant near airport) but they suggested this family owned italian restaurant called DiNapoli which turned out to be […] great!! Wonderful hotel staff. They were very friendly and helped with all the questions I had. I needed directions downtown and they printed them off with no problem. Also, the morning breakfast was great. I made a fresh, warm waffle with fruit. Buffet kept very clean and refilled often. Would definitely stay there again.

Stayed at the Hampton SFO and am very pleased. Hotel was very clean, staff was very pleasent, conveniently located, in a nice area. Continental breakfast was phenomenal. Hotel even offers free necessities like toothbrush etc if someone forgets to bring their own.

Hotel was in great shape, staff were friendly and helpful, breakfast was excellent. Internet worked well. South San Francisco has some great restaurants on Grand if you don't want to travel into the "real" city. Just be aware the hotel does not have a pool anymore.

We stayed here on 1/21/2012, we were going to the 49er vs Giants football game, the hotel was fabulous, clean and comfortable! The room had everything we needed, fridge, microwave, flat screen tv, iron, steamer, blow dryer and a couch. I would stay here again, in fact we stayed at another Hampton Inn the following night in Brentwood.

beware, the management here will hit you with bogus "incidental charges" on your credit card as they did me.

I was looking forward to using their pool during my stay and was surprised to find out that they closed their pool in November 2011 with no plans to reopen it. Otherwise the hotel is nice - nice rooms, friendly and helpful staff, and a tasty breakfast. Just don't plan on swimming.

I would have given this hotel a 5, but they closed the pool and this information was not listed. Would have been nice to be able to use the pool. Bad decision to close it permanently.

The hotel shuttle left us stranded in downtown San Francisco. We were a party of ten which included elderly grandparents and young children. We arrived at the pick up location 40 minutes before the scheduled pick up time. We were the first ones there so there should have been no issue about us getting on the shuttle. We reserve this hotel because he is suppose to have a indoor pool. But it is no pool anymore, so no relax before our fly. Otherwise it is a very good hotel.

great price for room and breakfast. easy access to freeway but still quiet. will stay again!

The hotel was very comfortable, great staff, nice clean room and it beat all other Hotels in this area. I also loved the fact that parking was free. Great stay and we would stay again!

Third year we have stayed at the Hampton. It is close to just about everything you would want to see in The San Francisco area. They also have a shuttle to take you in. Breakfast is served until 10 AM which is nice for late risers like my family. Staff is always friendly 7 the rooms are clean & comfortable.

This is definitely one of the best medium class hotels I have stayed t in SFO area. The hotel is well managed. All amenities are tip top. First check in was very fast like a matter of 2 minutes! There were 3 large comfortable pillows and a bolster. There was a microwave and a night light. Very considerate. Then the breakfast was great: hot waffles, hot oats and cereal, fruits galore of bananas, apples, oranges, cut cantaloupes etc. the eggs, sausages French toast change daily and the stock was always replenished. We must thank the supervisor, Martha, for that. She was everywhere, with a cheerful disposition, making sure that the food did not run out and tht the tables were kept clean. If you going to stay there please help me say hello to Martha and Charrissa. They are wonderful employees of Hampton's Inn. And the range of tea bags available was huge, even better than 5-star hotels. There was Earl Grey, chamomile, green tea, English breakfast etc. fantastic. Transport is also convenient. If you want to go downtown, like Union Square, Fisherman's Wharf, you can easily use the BART. Take the free shuttle to the international terminal, pay $8.10 for the train ticket stop at Powell station for Union Square or Embarcardero Fisherman's wharf a couple pays $32.40 in total for a return trip versus $110 for a cab! Save that money for a good meal at the wharf. I.recommend Tarantino's. You can also travel further afield on BART to say Oakland or Fremont at a max fare of $10.55 each. The maid staff was excellent and provided for all of our needs. The breakfast was excellent and provided varied choices and the staff kept the food well supplied and the area clean.

stay here for proximity to candlestick park. very nice hotel. room was very clean and comfortable, staff was friendly and professional. by sf standards, hotel is very reasonably priced. beds are extremely comfy and the large flat screen hd tv is wonderful. free wi-fi a big plus as well. overall very pleasant stay. would highly recommend this hotel.

The hotel and grounds were clean and tidy. It was obvious that it was not a new building and the fixtures in the rooms were a bit older but clean and in good working order. Despite the industrial/corporate area the hotel itself seemed safe. Limited restaurants or other amenties in the immediate area but decent options just a few miles away.

The hotel staff are exemplary and work very hard to make your stay a comfortable one. The room was so very comfortable and the air conditioner was very quiet. I slept very well here and their complimentary breakfast was very well prepared, hot, and with a vast array of things to choose from. we went to a seminar and your price and location were good the food might of been a tiny bit better but it was perfect in the morning thank you for your hospitality

Was put off driving into city by reports of traffic & cost/lack of parking so opted for airport hotel. Few hotels around in what seems to be a business park but not much else around. Area clean & felt safe & only 7 minute walk to caltrain station to AT&T park. Hotel clean, nice beds,rooms & typical continental breakfast but added nice touch of hot food […] of eggs, bacon,beef patties. Would need car to get mile or 2 to nearest restaurants and petrol station but all in all worth considering for convenience of train & 110 freeway. Indoor pool and small snack shop in lobby. The Hampton Inn NSFA was perfect, close to city, free parking, very clean comfortable rooms,helpful staff. Hampton had it all. This hoterl was more like a 4 star than a 2 1/2 star.

This hotel is extremely quite. Far enough away from the highway, and not under the flight path for the air traffic. It allows one to be close to the airport without feeling that way.

We were very impressed with our stay at the Hampton Inn at SFO. The hotel was clean, well appointed and the staff were great. To top it off, the breakfast buffet was amazing! Highly recommended!

we booked a non-smoking rm. but when we went in the room it had obviously been smoked in. At first the staff said if we go out for a while they would have the rm. cleaned again and deodorized, That was not satisfactory with me. We stayed at this hotel for the 4th of July weekend. The room are clean. The front desk staffs are very helpful. Overall, for the price we paid for the room, our stay was very pleasant.

Hampton Inn's location and their compimentary shuttle service from/to SFO were a perfect match for a brief overnight stay before flying to Hawaii. There were multiple choices on the breakfast buffet, which was available in sufficient time for an early morning departure. Overall -- very well done! I would stay here again and recommend it.

No, it is not very luxurious, or new, BUT it is clean and has everything you need, including breakfast! Who wants to stay in your room if you are in San Francisco anyway. You can't walk to union square or the wharf, but the shuttle will take you there and to the airport. The staff was VERY sweet, and professional. Hampton Inn in SF Airport is very nice and comfortable hotel. Short distance to the Airport. Quiet location. I would like to stay there again.

The Hampton Inn San Francisco Airport North was an excellent hotel for our May 2011 visit to San Francisco. The indoor pool is not that clean. I see green stuff by the stair tiles. The rooms are nice, the staff are great.

Very comfortable, outstanding "Complimentary Breakfast". There is no need for a more adequate place to stay to accommodate a bay area visit, exceptionally clean, GREAT VALUE.

We flew into San Francisco late at night and left the next morning but our brief stay at the hotel was fine: large, quiet room, comfortable bed, and all necessary amenities.

Great hotel with good breakfast and manager's reception in the evenings with free beer, wine and snacks.

Conveniently located near 101; the morning breakfast is a BIG plus with lots of variety. Close to the peninsula and downtown SF.
