Mulberry Inn - Newport News

Has a great gym and was close to everything we wanted. The breakfast was a little disappointing but it wasn't a big deal. The room was clean but they could replace the curtains because they were torn and let sunlight in.

We were met in the hotel lobby with a plate of fresh cookies and a very nice desk agent. Our room was fine - not posh, but clean and comfortable, more than adequate for a short overnight stay. The breakfast buffet featured several hot items, such as scrambled eggs, sausages, homemade biscuits and gravy, and make-your-own Belgium waffles, in addition to more standard fare. I came to the area with my daughter's basketball team and was pleasantly surprised by the comfort, amenities, service and condition of the hotel.. The room was spacious and the linen smelled so good!. We also visited colleges in Richmond, Hampton and Williamsburg. Perfect location.

The Mulberry Inn was a pleasant surprise. Great and courteous .service. Clean room, bathroom and the linen smelled so clean. Conveniently located btwn richmond, hampton and williamsburg.

Extremely nice and courteous staff. Rooms we're clean and cozy and the breakfast in the morning was highly above average. Overall a great atmosphere in a questionable neighborhood. I'll say it again the staff couldn't have been better. They also have a nice theater room. I'd give my overall experience an A.

From the moment we set foot on the premises it was horrible. The staff was extremely rude- to the point we had no idea where our room was and they were not willing to point the way. The room itself was a disaster- sheets were dirty, bathroom dirty, yuck! Went next door and stayed at the Holiday Inn and it was much cleaner and a lot friendlier.

Friendly helpful people at the front desk. Nice large room, lots of grass for walking dogs. The room was clean. Nice motel especially for people with a family or dogs.

Nice independent hotel. It seems a littlle worn but was clean. Staff was very friendly.

Overall it was ok. Room smelled musty. Its an older hotel, and you get what you pay for. Breakfast was standard, Wifi was good. You could pay more and go next door, but as I was there only 1 night....

Not familiar with Mulberry Inns until booked on hotels.com. Friendly staff, outdoor pool, neighborhood, reasonable price, free breakfast and wifi fit the bill for an overnight stay on our way to beach vacation. Room was clean and comfortable.

We arrived late and left early but found this to be the perfect place for a short stay. Hotel is slightly worn but clean. Staff was extremely nice and accomodating. There really are no restaurants near by but staff was able to easily direct us to an area about 10 minutes away where we had choices of many places to eat. We will stay here again.

Room was cold and comfy. Breakfast delicious- eggs, sausage, biscuits. Weight room and cardio room too.

The desk clerks were very friendly and willing to give us extra towels when needed. The breakfast was very good and at convenient hours. The air conditioning in the room was super cold even though it was 110 degrees outside! The pool was sparkling clean and very much appreciated on a record setting hot weekend!

The room was extremely clean and looked like it had been recently updated. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the breakfast was filling. Sausage, eggs, biscuits, gravy, various pastries, instant grits packages, coffee, and juices. Everthing about this room was OLD. The furniture, the bedding, the TV was a Zenith (like the ones you find in the thrift store for $25.00. Terrible. The room was dark and dingy. I phone for a different room to no avail...booked. It was the worst hotel room I've been in ever.

we found the hotel staff to be super friendly and courteous the best we have ever experienced with hotels.com they were warm and friendly even late at night, also very eager to help with pointing out the amenities and nearby locations. we stayed only one night but found the rooms to be larger than expected. Everything was clean and tidy. The only change […] would have been more towels in the room there were only 3 sets for the four of us but we had packed our own beach towels. Could not find a restaurant anywhere near the Motel. Otherwise the experience is one I will not doubt repeat on my next trip to Ft. Eustis.

I enjoyed my stay. The only problem was there was no real milk for breakfast only 1% & 2% milk water. Good breakfast other than that.

A great hotel about 10 minutes drive from Busch Gardens. We were presently surprised with the quality of the hotel for such a low price. Hotel staff was very nice as well.

I was pleasantly suprised at this hotel! The hotel was clean, our room was clean, there was no noise or distractions. It's close to I-64, so it's easy to get to the interstate. The breakfast buffet was a bit lacking, but it's ok. I would stay here again.

Only 3 pillows on a king size bed, shower knobs looked awful although they did work, musty smell to room. Everything was functional but construction/decor left much to be desired. Last weekend I stayed at the Holiday Inn Express across the parking lot, which is owned by the same company. breakfast not bad even have meat but same everyday. Rooms small clean but sheets not change our 3 d stay. Pool not bad nothing fancy.The hotel not to far from williamsburq of which we went driving back roads or you could use the freeway the other more scenic. In a quiet area have to drive to shopping and food.

We arrived late during a night of extreme storms, power outages and tiornados. The clerk had our room keys all laid out, and in was thoughtful enough to provide glow sticks "just in case"
