The customer service we received at this Hotel was very impressive.. There was a problem with our booking(not through our Hotel but external company we used) and the staff quickly solved it and even upgraded our room for no charge.. We had a very great stay.

"Decent Stay"
Even though it was the long weekend, and they were obviously fully booked, the only minor complaint was that the long lineups at the breakfast buffet, and the fact that the pancake maker was broken. Other than that, it was a decent hotel.
This hotel was very nice! and very clean! The pool was nice and warm. The staff was very friendly and nice.
Holiday Inn Express and Suites in Edmonton was a VERY wonderful place to stay! The girls at the check in desk were very helpful and friendly. The lady who cleaned our room was exceptional and left us a cute elephant made out of towels and a kind note wishing us a good stay. The food at the breakfast buffet was excellent! "very pleasant surprise"
As a family of 6, there aren't many great options for us. We had two queen beds, a pull-out, in 2 rooms, a kitchenette, and it was fairly close to WEM. Cleanroom and staff was great. I will definitely make this my first choice next time in Edmonton. "Enjoyed the stay"
Great location. Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. Conyac' and Homefires restaurants west of the hotel were excellent. Would definitely stay here again.

A girlfriend and I had stayed at this same hotel in November and so when my husband and I planned on going to Edmonton for his birthday I thought we would stay there again. I booked through hotels.com and a week before we were to arrive I contacted the hotel to confirm our rooms and the rate. The answer I got is if your confirmation says those rates […] that will be what you get - I wasn't impressed I thought the person could confirm this with me over the phone. When we arrived at 3:50 our room was not ready and we needed to wait until 4:20 to check in. I felt that that ladies at the front desk were not very professional telling me I could leave and then call back them back when the room was ready. I would have felt a better customer service experience would be that I give them my phone number and they would call me as they had no idea how long it would be. The previous visit the front desk staff were very helpful for my friend and I when we asked questions - this time they were not able to answer if there was a shuttle to Rexall Place for the hockey game and that maybe the mall had one. The rooms were clean, staff were friendly, the rates were highly competitve and the continental breakfast was the best I've ever seen. A lot of variety. The kids loved the pool area. It was close to all amenities. Take out was delivered within 15 minutes and delicious. The kids hope we stay in the same hotel from now on when we are in Edmonton.
"No Shower in Room"
We recently stayed at this hotel and it was a terrible experience. We paid over $200 to get a Jacuzzi sweet. Little did we know that the room looked nothing like the picture and it did not have a shower. When we asked to switch rooms the staff flat out said no and sent us away. I complained to the customer service manager about how unpleased we.were […] and asked him to stand behind the holiday inn commitment to excellent.client.experience. All he did was.aknowledge that there was a room without shower and they were updating the website and did nothing for.this.massive inconvenience. "Unhappy Customer"
I looked up this hotel on booking.com and was trying to find out if it was the same hotel that I had stayed at before and could not find out and upon calling the 1-800 number to see and they were not helpful and they ending up booking the room over the phone and as it turns out it was not the one that I had stayed at before and they ending up charging […] my visa over the phone and I had explained that this was a business trip and wanted to put it on my compnay visa and was not allowed to do that at checkin time and upon checkout was not able to get a receipt for the room. They had a copy of the receipt at the hotel but could not give me a copy of it. I am the customer and that was my purchase and not able to get a receipt that is totalling wrong. Unsatisfied customer. "HI Express West Edmonton Mall"
The Hi Express is a quality 3 star hotel. It's located just minutes from the West Edmonton Mall which is very convenient. It's also very close to plenty of shopping and great Cdn restaurant chains like Milestones, Moxie's and Kelsey's. Upon check in, the girl at the front desk accidentally sent me to a room that had not been cleaned yet. When I went […] downstairs to tell them what had happened, they upgraded me to a suite with a hot tub! Completely unnecessary, but a nice gesture. I was so impressed with the guy who was cleaning all the rooms, vacuuming the halls and wiping walls. also the guy in charge of the breakfast was awesome. "Close to everything and great breakfast!"
The only issue with our room is that it had a queen bed rather than a king. We loved the ground floor location as well as the incredible HOT breakfast served for the guests in the morning. This hotel was a direct route to the West Ed mall and to the main roads needed to get to the outlet shopping malls. It's location is also really close to the Olive […] garden (yay) and even though the hotel itself does not have a restaurant, the one across the street was wonderful for take out. The food was good at breakfast and had plenty of variety. The staff are amazing and helpful. Rooms are clean quiet and comfortable. Ten minutes from west Ed mall. The pool is clean bright and great. Great value

Clean rooms and perfect location. Very pleased.
The front desk staff was very friendly and understanding. The location is in a good spot especially if you plan on shopping. The hotel itself was fairly clean and presentable. The breakfast buffet could be a bit bigger in terms of food selection but other than that it was good.

Very nice hotel and ammenities. Only draw backs were that Jacuzzi room only had the tub, no shower and the only ATM in the building was out of order. Otherwise very nice stay.
The toilets don't flush very well and we ran out of hot water while showering should not happen

The staff were friendly and helped us out when we needed it. The room was clean and comfortable. The only thing I didn't like was the jacuzzi was to small. It looked bigger in the picture when booking. The two of us had trouble fitting in at the same time and we are not big people.

Really enjoyed my stay here. Booked online a jacuzzi room and when we got to the hotel not only did we have a jacuzzi in our room but we had a little sitting area, fridge, microwave and king size bed. Never had any problems checking in and was close to west ed with out the pricyness of rooms.

I was very impressed with the continental breakfast. With a family of 5 it could be very pricey eating out for every meal. The continental breakfast was a hot one and very good. Had everything from cereal to eggs and toast.

Convenient location
The selling points of my stay to this hotel is the accomodation with kids stays free and free hot breakfast.. The room was comfortable but the service was unsatisfactory.The staffs are not very friendly especially when we returned to our room and found a/c not working and it was 79' ..The maintenance man came and acted as if it was our fault why the […] a/c wasn't working..He can barely speak English and was arrogant.... He acted no big deal of fixing it but he had to clean the condenser up bec. it was dirty...No apology was given to us why its not working... Our !st breakfast the scramlbed eggs was too salty to eat and bacon is terrible.after the 2nd day we checked out and got accomodations to fantasyland Hotel West Edmonton Mall...Nicer and more convenient to the West Edmonton Mall.It was pricey but its all worthy. Every thing was good except the breakfast. Very lame. poor selection. Plastic spoons, knifes and forks. syrofoam plates. This produces alot of garbage. How about real plates, coffee cups and cutlery? Maybe even employ a dishwasher and put someone to work. It would make me come back to Holiday Inn. Everything else was good. Thank you

Close to WEM. reasonable service. Buffet type breakfast served on paper plates. No restaurant on site. Decent pool. Business centre not equiped with necessary soft ware to download and print boarding passes. Proabaly not a bad bet for parents and kids who want to be close to WEM.

"Poor internet and phone"
Decent place, hotel staff were VERY nice and helpful. Internet service was slow to the point of being useless - you could not go to a web page without it timing out. A 1-800 number that i need to dail into for a conference call was not accessable another was. I would recommend the hotel for a non-business stay but not for a business stay.

We planned a get away to Edmonton for my young sons b-Day. The hotel was situated close to the Telus space center and WEM. We were very comfortable, the staff there was very professional & curtious.

king executive suite does not have a whirlpooll as advertised. However the front desk people were so helpul and upgraded us too one. We had a lovely stay. Breakfast was sufficient and choices pretty good also. I will stay again!
