"Not as clean as other La Quintas"
Hotel staff was great, breakfast was good. But the Hotel could use a very good cleaning and replace some carpets.

Sure it's cheaper than other hotels in the area, but you definitely get what you pay for. Bed was extremely uncomfortable. Everything very outdated. On the north side of Austin in a run down neighborhood. The motel was dirty, smelly, rooms were not lean with stains from spills on the carpet...dust and dirt in the room. "Good place to stay affordably"
We were in town for vacation/visiting with family. Didn't plan to spend much time in the hotel other than to sleep, so we were not picky about getting a high end place to stay. Our room was clean. "you get what you pay for"

Very enjoyable stay. Room was clean, the bed was extremely comfortable, breakfast was great, staff was helpful. Only complaint, the maid forgot to leave fresh wash cloths the second morning, but was easily remedied.

Breakfast: The waffle iron was not fully cooking the waffles, even after the beeper went off, and there was no one attending the breakfast area to talk to about it, so a bunch of us had to change our mind about what to have.

"problem w/ one of the beds"
My family's stay at this La Quinta was fine except for 1 thing; the bed closest to the door (in room 214). The mattress sagged severely. When we layed down on the bed, it sagged so much that during the night, whoever was sleeping on it would roll to the center of the mattress. The other bed was great.
The hotel was clean and relatively close to the center of Austin. A good value.

"La Quinta North Austin - beware the desk chair"
I nearly fell out of the desk chair because it had been repaired badly and was extremely wobbly! Also, the hot water was not hot enough.
Front Desk employee was very nice. . Was not worth the price. Hallway and elevator smelled like smoke Will not stay there again.

Its a La Quinta. The bathroom is really small. Need different shower rod so door to bathroom can open all the way. We arrived late and left early in the morning. It met our needs.

"Hotel Stay"
Stayed their for two nights and it was okay. The bathroom was pretty small but the room itself was a good size. The only problem that I had really was the loud sound when the toilet was flushed like there was something wrong with the plumbing. The staff was nice and although the hotel was in an akward spot, it was near the highway.

"Not what I expected from La Quinta"
I have stayed at many La Quintas and have always had a great experience. This hotel was renovated into a La Quinta and was a little run down. Not a bad hotel but plenty of hotels that are better for the money.
"I was amazed"
I expected less because of the low rate, but I was amazed at the hotel quality, especially cleanliness. The only thing that bothered me at times was the size of the restroom and its design given that if you had the door open you could not move. Other than that I was extremely happy and comfortable with my stay at this hotel

When I stayed during the beginning of Sept/09 there were cookies at the front desk, 3 drink coupons a person and a free manager's special dinner(which was chili dogs).
