Candlewood Suites Irvine East - Orange County

hotel clerk was not available at desk upon checkin. I had to wait 5 minutes before he arrived. he gave me an Internet code when i checked in at 11 pm that expired at midnight and he failed to tell me that it would change.

This was\is a great place to stay. The rooms are roomy and very comfortable. I will be staying here again.

We stayed for 7 days and didn't want to leave! This place is awesome. The room: the queen bed is in a separate bedroom from the living room area. The bedding is very comfortable. If you don't like the 3 types of pillows they offer or need more, just ask. (Wow!) The LCD TVs (in bedroom & living room) have SD card slots so we could look at our pictures […] on the camera) The kitchen comes equipped with higher quality cookware, coffee maker, and toaster. If you want a toaster oven, just request one. The full size fridge has an ice machine. The full size microwave and 2 burner cook top makes cooking dinner a breeze. The living TV has a DVD player and free DVDs are available at the front desk. (along with books to borrow) The recliner in the living was a welcome respite for my husband. Other benefits: FREE LAUNDRY! That's right. While staying at Candlewood Suites we did our laundry for free. A well equipped workout room is just off the laundry room. In the laundry room is the Honor store. Cans of soda were .50¢. FREE piping hot coffee 24 hours a day. (And it was the best tasting hotel coffee we've had!) I have to say right here that it's SO NICE to be treated with respect by a hotel chain by implementing the honor bar system. The gas grills area gave us a nice break from dining out, or just cooking food in the microwave or on top of the stove. Our only complaint would be the scratchy towels. But with all the amenities provided here, that's just a little thing to complain about. We will definitely stay here again! Lisätietoja

My wife and I wanted to spend some time in and around the Irvine area so we spent two nights here. This hotel was very conveniently located near a freeway but not on it and was nestled in a quiet business park area. The rooms were very clean, modern, well-appointed suites with ample cooking gear, and a wonderful desk and work area. The bed was a pillow […] top - extremely comfortable queen arrangement. Free DVDs available for the asking, a nice gym and very friendly staff. More geared to the business traveler, not so much to do for younger children. Not a single complaint about anything. A nice hotel, very well-setup: with good cooking facilities, laundry, and gym; also, a good price.

I always choose Candlewood Suites if possible...just wish there were more of them!

Great place to take the dog. Lots of room to walk the dog around the property. Refrigerator was loud and had to adjust to the noise. Location of the hotel was fairly close to freeway. Twenty minute drive from camp pendelton with no traffic. Lots of attractions and shopping in the nearby cities. Would return to this facility again.

The hotel is clean, comfortable and priced to deliver good value. My room was spacious, with a kitchenette, including a microwave and fridge. Check-in was quick, and the staff was friendly. I met the hotel general manager, and she was very helpful. The front desk has movies available to borrow for free. The television was small and an old CRT-type, […] but it was nice to have the option of watching a movie as a pastime. The hotel is located in a light industrial area, surrounded by an office park. Good location with short ride from amphitheater (about $13-$15 one way) and to the east about 3 miles is a nice shopping center with places to eat. Bed and pillows soft. Good sized kitchen. The only drawback was there was no ice machine because supposedly there was some in the freezer (which there wasn't).

First,,,they screwed up my reservation. No SUITE...instead separated from my 15 yr old in 2 crampy studio rooms. The rooms were so small the mice must be hunchbacks,.and had to disconnect fridge due to the rattling noise.Room smelled like Pine Sol..will never set foot in there!!!

I stayed at this hotel for 3 nights. Pros: 1) Price 2) The bathroom was very clean which was my primary concern when choosing to go with a budget hotel. 3) The location of this hotel is off the beaten path, but in a very safe location. Cons: 1) The refrigerator in my room smelled horrible on the inside. They wouldn't allow me to check-in until 2 hours after their advertised check-in time. Their excuse was that they were low on people to clean the rooms.

It's clean and decent for the price but noisy, the fridge and AC were so loud I slept with a pillow over my head.

full kitchen, internet and air conditioning. all a plus in that hot area. would definately stay there again if I have to travel to that area. close to fast food and some handmade pizza, excellent spot. staff were great.

Nice hotel, but the doors open and closing in hallway. Way too noisy, when people leave their rooms. Rooms are nice, and clean. Kitchen is well appointed. Staff is nice and easy. Added bonus free DVD's for room. Stay a while, is better. extended stay hotel theme!

Little to no lobby, only clean rooms once a week. Towels could be exchanged as needed. Bed was comfortable, Internet access was fast and free. Free laundry mat, Free coffee 24/7 plus coffee and refidgerator in your room. Spent 8 days, met our needs easy access to 405 & 5 freeways

Polite and efficient staff. There was a water leak in the room above mine and a call to the front desk had the hotel staff in action in only a few minutes. After the issue was repaired a staff member came to my room and explained the the problem and repair. Great place to stay and I will stay ther again when in the area.

The hotel is very clean, the mini kitchen is very usefull for families that want to save some money eating out..The hotel is not to far from everything, amusment parks, beaches, malls, etc...And the hotel fares are not to expensive at all...

comfortable, spacious and well appointed rooms (with a dishwasher for eg), the one bedroom suite in particular was excellent value for money, and overall the hotels location, which afforded peace and quiet, was exactly what was needed.

The rooms were nice but upon check in they did not have the room that I had reserved. I stayed there two nights and the maid did not even step foot in the room to empty trash or check on towels. Other wise it was a good price with nice rooms.

I only spenmt one night here--the location was ok--in the middle of an office park--so not much for food nearby. The kitchenette w/fridge was nice.

Room has a huge fridge; we went grocery shopping and bought all the drinks / food we needed. Loved having the kitchen. Room was extremely comfortable, enjoyed the TV, etc.

first off, this place does not have a pool as indicated on hotels website. so don't be fooled. but minus the false advertisement of that website, we had a great time. it was very convenient to have a mini home away from home. and when i mentioned the disney channel didn't come in and the thermostat being set by motion (which is located only in the livingroom) […] was not very appealing, cause at night when you are sleeping in your room, with no motion in the livingroom, the air conditioner does not come on, leaving the air kinda warm and stale. and i was not about to leave a window open. they said they would take care of it without me having to be there. and when i came back they had bottles of water and basket full of goodies with a card explaining they no longer had the disney channel (which was fine, they had another channel of cartoons for my son) and they set the thermastat to manual so we had the control. my husband was not to comfy in the bed and he woke up 2 of our three mornings there with small bites. so i don't know what to say about that, cause neither me nor my son got bit. but i would definitely recommend this hotel.
