Sijainti on kaupungin ulkopuolella, matka keskustaan on ajettava autolla. Muutamia pikaruokapaikkoja ja ketjuravintoloita kävelyetäisyydellä. Lähellä on hyvä kauppa, mutta huoneessa ei ole jääkaappia. Huoneet siistit ja tilavat. Ystävällinen ja avulias henkilökunta.

Olimme lomalla, kaupunki entuudestaan tuttu, joten tiesimme sijainnin, ja se on ihanteellinen. Hancock Tower nurkan takana, ja siitä alkaa magnificent Mile. Toiseen suuntaan muutama sata metriä ja pääset aamulenkille pitkin Chicagon upeita rantoja. Hotelli oli ihan siisti, sinänsä varsin hyvässä kunnossa, kokolattiamatot tietysti joka paikassa, kuten tapaan kuuluu, mutta kuuma oli. Huoneessa ei joko ilmastointi toiminut tai oli alitehoinen, siellä oli tukalan kuuma. Lattia antoi hieman periksi paikoin (ilmeisesti levyjen nurkissa), mutta se ei ei haitannut. Toinen haittaava ongelma oli wc-pöntön jatkuva tukkeentuminen, ja hieman kuulostelin, että veden kanssa oli hieman ehkä yleisemminkin ongelmaa. Päivystäjä oli kyllä aina paikalla parissa minuutissa fiksaamassa ongelman. Aamulla sai kahvia, jos haluaa enemmän, saa lähialueen kuppiloista mukavia bageleita. Eli: jos olet visiitillä, ja haluat liikkua ydinkeskustassa, on tämä hyvä vaihtoehto. Luksusta ei, mutta ihan kelpo ja hinta ok. Huoneet isoja, mahtuu useampikin perheenjäsen. Jos vähänkin tuntee paikkoja, niin cta:lla (juna) chicagon asemalle ja bussilla 66 joka lähtee maanalisesta noustua risteyksen vastakkaiselta puolelta rantaa kohti, ja jää pois Michigan avenuen kohdalla) (turisti-info), siitä on kahden korttelin kävelymatka. 2,25 usd.

Kokolattiamatto oli melko likainen. Suihkussa ei ollut käsisuihkua. Erittäin hyvä sijainti.

Had a lovely corner room which was pretty spacious and clean near the stores. Thought it would be quiet but there was some sound of machinery going all night and couldn't sleep despite turning on the fan to full. Otherwise hotel was pretty good.
hotel only has one computer in the business center and breakfast was not included when i booked the room thur hotel.com i had a great time and will go again.

It is very close to Woodland Mall and other shopping centers. Would definitely stay there again!
"Pleasant staff and comfortable beds"
The staff is very welcoming. You also get a warm cookie upon arrival, something my hubby really looks forward to! The rooms are nice. The bed is very comfortable.

Out of the three reasons we wanted to stay at the Doubletree, one didn't work and the other cost extra! $10.00 per IP address for Wi-Fi? I could go down the street to Candlewood suites and get it for free and a cheaper room to boot! The other problem we had was with the pay-per-view. From Friday night until Monday the system would not allow us to see […] any movies! My fiancee complained numerous times and we got the charges taken off the bill. I would expect this from a cheaper hotel, but I find it totally unacceptable for Doubletree. The air conditioning also caused my fiancee's allergies to go into overdrive. We had no choice but to use it though because it would become very warm in the room very quickly. The bed was the only saving grace which was one of the reasons we wanted to stay there. 3 out of 5 stars for me. P.S. Watch out for for the automatic gratuity if you eat in the dining room after 6pm. "Great except they forgot wake-up call"
The rooms were clean and part of the bathroom was re-done. It was nice to receive a cookie upon check-in. My only complaint was that they did not make the wake up call I requested.

Love that you get welcomed to the hotel with a warm cookie! The room was clean, comfortable, modern, and the bathroom was huge. Staff was friendly and the breakfast buffet at the hotel's restaurant was very good.

The hotel is close (< 10 mins) to legoland. About 50 mins drive to Chicago downtown. Try to book the hotel with complimentary breakfast else eating from inside the hotel will be expensive. We got a King room and requested a rollaway bed. We went at a busy summer time, with lots of groups staying there. So their roll-away beds and refrigerators were all sold out (even though we requested for them when booking.) However, we were lucky and got a roll-away bed towards the end of the day. Traffic was good. Front desk people are friendly! Even though there's no wireless in rooms, you can use wireless at the lobby for free (just ask front desk for the access code). "Get your stories straight!"
I booked this hotel for a large group of friends, traveling in from several different states. I booked this one specifically because hotels.com said it was the only hotel in Schaumburg with an airport shuttle (O'Hare). When another girl called the hotel directly, she was told they did NOT have a shuttle. When we got to the hotel, sure enough there was […] a shuttle van parked in front! Since we saw this, we asked if it would be possible to take us to the train station, but they did not have a shuttle driver on a WEEKEND, and sent us to a Metra station over 3 miles away when there was one within walking distance of the hotel. Because several ladies were traveling with 7-9 month old babies, it was important to note the hotel site said pack-n-plays were available, but at check in 1 person was told by desk clerk none were available. Another person asked another clerk and got one brought to her room. We also did not have ANY hot water, very early on Sunday morning and had to travel home without showers after having walked around in the heat all day Saturday in Chicago. While the rooms were very nice and clean, and the beds were comfortable, but they only had 100% down pillows and bedspreads on the beds. Some people, like myself, are very allergic to down, so one would think that it would be best to have hypo-allergenic bedding options in a hotel! We took the kids to Legoland, and then back to the room. The pool was perfect to run them completely out of energy. Room was very clean, very comfortable beds too. The next morning we didn't have any hot water, but neither did the rest of the hotel. The boiler was down, but maintenance was on it immediately. We will stay here again!

The hotel is really good interms of comfort. The bed was awesome. Its very close to the airport. Better than staying in hotels near O'Hare. Schaumburg is a nice,calm place to stay. The Hotel is close to Legoland,gamestop and bunch of other restaurants. Do not miss Indian House Bombay Chopsticks nearby if u need real good indian food.There are liquor […] shops nearby which are open until 12. Also Bahama breeze is closeby. This was my first stay in a Doubletree, and I was very satisfied. The hotel was in very good condition, was in a good location, and had everything I needed for a 1-night stay. The room was clean, comfortable and stylishly decorated. The bed was comfortable, and the bathroom was very attractively decorated.
