Hotellin kuvat internetissä näyttivät hienoilta, hotellihuone oli pieni ja vanhan aikainen,

Ei ihan niin "loistokas" kun esittely antaa ymmärtää, mutta sijainti loistava ja ystävällinen palvelu myös englanniksi. Aamiainen kuului hintaan ja oli ihan hyvä, munakokkeli oli suorastaan erinomaista. Juustoja myös ranskalaiseen tapaan tarjolla. Huone vaatimaton, hieman ahdas, tilava terassi. Hyvä perus hotelli kaupunkilomalle.

Loistava sijainti: kävelyetäisyydellä vanhasta kaupungista ja rannasta, Lafayette tavaratalon ja kävelykatujen vieressä. Pienet ja hieman ikääntyneet mutta siistit ja mukavat huoneet. Henkilökunta palvelualtista. Aamiainen kohtuullisen monipuolinen mutta pysyi samana joka aamu.

Erittäin keskeisellä sijainnilla Nizzan keskustassa. Palvelu hotellissa ensiluokkaista. Huoneet ranskalaiseen tapaan suhteellisen pieniä, mutta toimivia. Erittäin hyvä ilmastointi. Huoneet siistittiin päivittäin. Aamupala suhteellisen kallis, mutta toki monipuolinen ja runsas.

Good hotel, excellent location. Very friendly, polite and multi-lingual staff. Unique decor, very reminiscent of old hollywood and very modern. However there was a stale cigarette/musky smell in the corridor to the room. Didn't avail of the breakfast there so can't comment. Tea/coffee making facilities in the room. Disappointing for a 4 star. The style in hotel lobby is a bit confusing, the corridors to the rooms are very nice, but the standard room is very basic. MDF doors, small space, and desparately in need of a make-over. The location is great, but be careful if you take a car, its 30e a night to use the car park. It seems they've modernized most of the common areas but the rooms are small and cramped and still outdated. The bathroom was modern and fine, but the room furnishings and carpet looked like they were from the 1970s. Location is the best feature as it's walking distance to all the areas of Nice you'd want to visit. For a weekend jaunt, it was fine but […] nothing to write home about. Stayed here for 5 nights recently. Had booked traditional room and requested high floor with king bed and Laurent on check-in kindly provided us with a room on the 6th (top) floor. The room had a terrace with two chairs and a table and a recliner with a view of the city. It was a lovely room and it had a kettle and tea/coffee and little biscuits and […] a mini-bar (don't know if all traditional rooms have this or if I got an upgrade to priviledge level). The hotel did not appear to be too busy but it was the first week of feb. The bar/restaurant was quiet. Bed was comfortable. Room was quite warm at night. Shower was powerful enough and plenty of hot water. Did not opt for breakfast or other meals but did have a couple of drinks one evening and service was friendly and efficient. The lobby is nicely decorated and there is a computer for internet access and the reception will print your boarding pass if you email it to them. Staff were very nice and helpful, particularly Anika and Marina. Location was great for new town and old town as it is just off Place Massena Would definitley stay here again. Lisätietoja

This hotel is in a superb location; a short stroll to the best shopping in Nice, the old quarter or the beach. However it is situated on a very busy street cross roads with traffic lights. When we were there the temperatures were in the mid to upper 20's but the air conditioning was not on; only air recirculation. Opening the windows let in the traffic […] noise, including overnight and early morning deliveries by large lorries and the refuse collection. Worse still the noise of revellers tipping out of night clubs between 01:30 and 04:30 was intolerable. Closing the windows effectively shuts out the noise but the room got very warm. I must add that we were in a room at the corner of the hotel adjacent the roads. The hotel looks impressive and the public areas are very smart and clearly our landing had only recently been redecorated and recarpeted. Unfortunately our room, supposedly a superior was less so. Apart from a newish carpet the room looked tired and dated. We would expect the room to be a bit bigger and the furnishings to be of better quality. The curtains were old fashioned and did not close properly, the furniture was worn and inadaquate. The built in wardrobe was too small for a double room and we had to leave some of our clothes in the suitcase. The bathroom was very nicely finished but was alas let down by the location of the window; being over the bath next to the shower. You could not have a shower with the window open without being an exhibitionist to the apartments across the street. The shower was great; worked really well with good pressure and plenty of hot water. There was a separate loo. We did not take breakfast as we thought it over priced. There is not a guests lounge only seating in the foyer. It also caters for a lot of coach parties who seem to take over all the public areas! I wonder if this hotel truely merits 4* status. We are regular visitors to Nice and have stayed in better hotels for the same or less money. I would reservedly recommen Lisätietoja

After reading countless reviews of so many hotels this was exactly as I expected it to be - perfectly situated in the heart of everything, walking distance to the harbor, cote d'azur, countless pedestrian-only plazas and squares for strolling, shopping, eating. We booked this hotel based on reviews on the internet and we were not disappointed. Champagne on ice for arrival, breakfast in the room each morning and friendly knowledgable reception staff and concierge. The hotel was two minutes from Place Massena which meant great transport links within Nice and beyond. Restaurants, bars and cafes were all in close […] proximity and it was a five minute walk to the Promenade de Anglais on the seafront. We chose this hotel based on location and some of the reviews we read on Trip Advisor and Hotels.com. Because we were vacationing in the busiest month in Nice we wanted to save a little money and we booked the cheapest room available on hotels.com. That being said, I am not sure if the situations we experienced would be the same with all the rooms, […] or just the style we chose. Good points: LOCATION. The Massena Hotel is located directly on the Rue de Massena and is within steps to the major nightlife/restaurants in Nice. The location couldn't be better and we loved having a central hotel from which to travel. LOBBY/HALLWAYS: The lobby and hallways of this hotel are ridiculously charming. They have a black/white/gray motif, with photos of old Hollywood legends lining the walls. When you walk into the lobby of the hotel, you definitely feel like you are in a charming, four-star French Riveria hotel. Bad points: The rooms have not been upgraded/maintained with the same amount of care as the lobby/hallways. In fact, it is hard to believe you are in the same hotel once you are in the rooms. The carpets are filthy, the furniture is horribly old, and the bedspread looks like it came from a Motel 6. The entire room smelled like stale cigarette smoke, beach, and mold. My husband and I were horrified by the state of the room. The room was very small (which we expected), but because the bed linens were so disgusting it just looked depressing. The bathroom and toilet are in separate rooms from each other, which means that once you use the toilet you have to then touch four doors in order to wash your hands. I'm kind of a germaphobe and I wondered if the cleaners ever wiped down the handles on these doors. This is definitely one of those rooms that you never, EVER walk around in barefeet. It was just so shocking because the lobby and hallways were so adorable. We only actually got to sleep in the room for about 4 hours because Corsica ferries bumped our ferry to the evening so we didn't arrive in nice until 7 o clock in the morning. On arrival the staff were great and the hotel very clean. The room however was possibly the smallest room I've ever stayed in. When the bags were brought up to the room there […] wasn't much room left for us to walk around. The bathroom was the same, I could only manage to shower half my body at a time with the doors open. I chose this hotel because of the photo on the website that showed tables on the roof where one could dine overlooking Nice. There is no such rooftop at the hotel; turns out it's just a picture of a scene in Nice! So I felt a little bait and switch. They do have a private beach; but it's about $40 USD per person per day. That's a chunk of change to […] go to the beach. Also, our shower was simply a shower head in the bathroom with a curtain around it-- no tub or ledge. Our drain was clogged which flooded not only the bathroom but our room itself but they couldn't move us that night. They moved us our last night and promised us breakfast, which turned out to be sliced white bread. They did give us a bottle of champagne for our troubles; but would have been nice if they could have at least paid for one of our days at the beach! So awful it was comical. The tiniest room we ever had and at the price of a luxury hotel. Also the a/c did not work. The internet had to be continually reconnected. It was billed as being close to the train station - but it costs almost 20 Euros in cab fare to get from one to the other. Awful.

Great hotel close to everything in Nice.

very good hotel with a great location,close to shops resturants ,the promenade and the market area. hotel service excellent and helpfull Privilage rooms are larger having a private balcony as well. Some special deals include breakfast so go for that if you can . Bus stop close by for #98 airport bus

Like many similar hotels the Massena is built to VERY small proportions - small enough to induce claustrophobia! I was alone, and the (double) room was barely adequate. If there are two of you you will need to get on well together! I'm not sure that large people would actually fit inside the shower unit. Nice foyer and breakfast and bar area. Breakfast […] seems very expensive at 20 euros, but is actually a very good buffet - you could get breakfast much cheaper at a nearby cafe, but not the same choice. The breakfast area got very crowded ar peak times. Free wifi that worked well (get your log-in from reception on arrival). The desk staff were very helpful, and speak excellent English. One of the best things about the hotel is its great location:1 minute from the new tram line at Massena Square; 5 minutes walk from the beginning of the old town; Printemps department store almost next door; good/very good restaurants nearby. The shiny new tram will take you up to the exhibition center (Acropolis) or to the railway station for 1 Euro per ride (put money into the ticket machine at each stop - takes some getting used to - coin slot only opens when you have selected and confirmed the single ticket option - put your ticket inside the machine inside the tram to get it stamped); overall good value for money, and at least it has character and location, even if the room size is an issue. Descent and clean but a little expensive compared to other hotels in the area. Next time I would go to a good 3 star.

i liked the hotel, however the room was very small for a non basic room.... the hotel is located in the center so walking distance from the beach (10mins) and other attractions but not directly there. on a personnal note i was still trying to recover from the shock of the 45 euros cab ride for the 4 miles that are between the airport and the hotel... […] especially that it took less than 10 minutes even counting all the red traffic lights... lovely hotel, comfortable clean rooms and good air con (important when it was over 30 outside) unfortunately the privilege room we booked did not come with the bathrobes as advertised and the balcony was simply a window. After visiting it is clear there are only about 5balconys in the whole hotel so they are for the more superior rooms but a little […] dissapointing and I now notice that the priviledge rooms no longer claim to have balconys in their descriprion but we did get the tea and coffee that we were after. A decent, budget traveller's hotel in a great part of town - close to everything - but not the kind of place you want to spend a lot of time in. But then again, you don't come to the Riviera to sit around in your hotel room. A short walk to the beach, cafes, shopping, transportation, the old town...it's all there.

I would rate this as a 2-star (we stayed at a 2-star doing this same trip and it was equivalant to this one). Hotel room was extremely small, which is ok at the rate. However, the tv channels did not come in and it took 3 people at the front desk to respondm, but not fix. The bathroom sprung a leak from the ceiling and was completely soaked by morning […] when we found it - they basically wiped it up and said nothing they could do. The area was nice, and would recommend staying at the Best Western Roosevelt that is less money and 2 blocks away in the same area. Lisätietoja

If you know what to ask for you will really like this hotel. 1. 6th floor with terrace (street side if you want the most sun), 2. 10 Euro breakfast special (not the continental for 9.80) for the full buffet. These two things really made a difference between our first three nights and our last four.

The breakfast buffet is a big rip off

Nice location, friendly staff. We were surprised by the 20 Euro fee per person for breakfast. We only had coffee and a croissant and thought it was included in the price of the room. $60 is a lot to spend for 2 people for a light breakfast.

hotel room was very very tiny, we chose the cheap room. Bigger rooms were available. It was in a great position and very close to shopping street. Room and decor in hotel was a bit dated.

Great location. Close to beach, buses and train station. Walking distance to beach, buses and train station. Great location to shop and eat.

Hotel was great for our short stay. Shower was kind of small. Worked out ok for us, but we're both pretty slender. Maybe a bit of caution to future guests. The hotel staff was great. The receptionist that checked us in gave us the name of a really wonderful restaurant about 2 blocks away and even made the reservation for us while we refreshed before […] dinner! Location is excellent, very close to the tram and within walking distance from the train station. The location is fantastic, very close to the beach and to the city center. It is also at walking distance from the train station. The hotel ambiance and decoration are very classy. The room was ok, nothing fancy and no view, but it was comfortable. Also, a great plus for me, they offer free internet.

Läget är helt perfekt. Nära till allt, men ändå lugnt och avskilt.

徒歩２分位でギャラリーラファイエット、バス停、トラム駅があり、旧市街やプロムナードデサングレまで徒歩７～８分です。ホテルロビーは近代的な感じ。部屋は赤を基調にした普通な感じです。シャワーが少し弱かったですが、ポットもあり、この料金にしては立地もよく満足でした。海沿いでは無いので、窓からの景色はビルです。海がとてもキレイだったので、海沿いのホテルにしても良かったなと思いました。ホテルスタッフは皆さんとても親切でした。

L'Hotel è in posizione centrale. Le camere matrimoniali standard sono davvero piccole e i bagni angusti (mancano aspiratori e finestre). La colazione non è da hotel 4 stelle. Complessivamente è un buon hotel, ma non merita le stelle che ha!!!!

Hôtel tres agreable au style moderne et elegant, personnel tres serviable et disponible, confort des chambres irreprochable, situation de l'hôtel a deux pas d'un large avenue pietonne. Rien à redire, etablissement fidèle à mes attentes et personnel très aimable.

le classement de cet hotel en 4 étoiles est totalement immérité . Les WC sont dans la salle de bain qui est minuscule (1.80x1.80). la douche à l'italienne est minuscule avec un rideau de douche !.... n'ayant aucune étagère , nous sommes obligé de poser nos affaires de toilette sur la cuvette des WC . la rénovation récente de cet hotel a consisté à faire […] du cache misère .
