The NJV Athens Plaza Hotel's Parliament Restaurant serves Greek specialities and international dishes like fillet of Dover sole meuniere with mushroom and lemon cream sauce. The room features floor-to- ceiling windows, traditional mahogany chairs and crisp white linen. Furnished with green leather armchairs or high stools at the bar, The Explorer's Lounge offers snacks, cocktails, drinks and coffees. Overlooking the hotel's lobby, the modern Plaza Lounge serves tea, coffee, cakes and pastries. Room service is available 24 hours.
Three large conference rooms accommodate 50, 75 and 100 people each, while the hotel's smaller meeting rooms hold 25 people. There's a 24-hour business centre with one computer, printer, fax, photocopier and high-speed Internet access (surcharge).

Decorated with Lauren, Fornacetti and Versace fabrics, the 182 soundproofed guestrooms feature marble-topped furniture and cherrywood furnishings. Rooms offer satellite television, air conditioning and high-speed Internet access (surcharge). Marble bathrooms have Bulgari toiletries.

Loistava hinta/laatusuhde: Kivasti sisutettu hotelli, varsinkin kylppärit ovat vakuuuttavia. 24 h auki olevalta kattoterassilta mahtavat näkymät Akropolikselle. Ainut miinus on alue: täynnä ränsistyneitä ghettobetoniblokkitaloja, grafittia ja kerjäläisiä. Tämä vaikka matkaa akropolikselle on noin kilometro. Tosin näyttää siltä, että koko ateena (pl. akropolis + välitön läheisyys) on todella ghettoa suomalaisin silmin. Itäkeskuskin on tähän verrattuna kaunis. TOisaalta akropolis ja sen ympäristö on todella hieno.

Enpä arvannut kokemattomana, että blind room tarkoittaa ulkoikkunatonta huonetta, eikä muuten pimennettävää huonetta. Ikkunakuilusta kurkkien sai käsityksen vuorokaudenajasta ja ilmakin vaihtui. Muuten siisti ja ystävällinen hotelli.

Hotellin sijainti loistava: metrolla ilman vaihtoa suoraan lentokentältä ja Monastirakin- metroasema nurkalla. Plakan vanhkaupunki, ravintolat ja akropoli ja ostoskadut kävelymatkan päässä. Hotellin katolla lasitettu kattoterassi, josta näkymä Akropolille , täälllä aamiainen aamuisin ja baari illalla. Ystävällinen ja auttavainen henkilökunta!!!!!!

Parliament restaurant - Occupying a long narrow space with floor-to-ceiling glazing and Venetian blinds down one side, this restaurant has mahogany chairs with green upholstery and spotless white linen tablecloths. Thanks to its low-key atmosphere, this restaurant is particularly popular with businesspeople. It is open for breakfast (surcharge), lunch, and dinner. The signature dish is Fillets of Dover Sole Meunier with Mushroom and Lemon Cream Sauce.
Explorer's Lounge - Furnished with green leather armchairs and low coffee tables, plus a bar lined with high stools, this lounge is refined but relaxed. It is open all day for coffee, drinks, cocktails, and savory snacks.
Plaza Lounge - Located on a mezzanine overlooking the lobby, this informal cafe is furnished with modern, understated wooden tables and chairs. It is open all day for coffee, tea, cakes, and pastries.
The picturesque area of Plaka is ideal for a morning or evening stroll. Above Plaka, just one kilometer from the hotel, stands the Acropolis, arguably the most important monument in the Ancient Greek world and a must-see for first-time visitors to the city.

This hotel is in a great location and the hotel is very nice and clean. My only complaint is that you have to pay 20 euros a day or so for internet access. This should be a free service with any major hotel. (You can go with a wireless laptop to Syntagma Square a few meters away and use the internet for free).

"Close to everything and very central"
We stayed in this hotel 4 nights and enjoyed it very much. Extremely central in terms of transportation - buses, subway, taxis. Also walking distance from all important sights - museums, Acropolis, other historic sites, old city. Hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. Had great time.

The room could be warmer and the bed could have a quilt. There was only one blanket on the bed and we had to order for some more! They could have a quilt instead! The hotel seems not to have been maintained since 2004!
