When we first arrived we weren't too sure - firstly the condition of the hotel from the outside and the fact we were told public parking was available opposite - actually down the road but it didn't matter. However when we got to our room, it was big, clean and bright and none of the noise at night could be heard!

Disgusting hotel where however hard we tried couldn't find anything good to say about it.....well perhaps location. Given a smoking room (which was disgusting..when booked a n/s...they claim none left! Offered a fan...then they changed their mind & said they have none! Unclean room & dirty bathroom.....can't even say we got what we paid for!!

Spacious room, good location. Across from Coventry Bus terminal, and transportation museum. Walking distance to restaurants, cathedral, food market. Attractive lobby, old hotel, beds could be better. The staff was very nice and helpful. Clean enough, but may not please all. By booking online I got a good value for money. Perhaps best for short stays.

Considering the price we paid, we had a lovely stay. The only negative thing is that we specified that we wanted a non smoking room, however when we arrived there, the room smelled of smoke, and an ashtray was in the middle of the table...

we read all the reviews about this hotel and not they were good! we contemplated cancelling but decided to brave it out and were pleasantly suprised. the hotel was very central the rooms were very clean and comfortable with all the usual tv, tea and coffee etc. service was not fantastic but we were only there for the night so it was not a problem, for the price would definatly use it again!

i thought this hotle was ok. i only needed a place to stay for the night, as i attended a party in the evening/night and was going to a wedding, early the next day. therefore the hotel provided me with what i needed, a warm bed for the night and a shower in the morning. as i was only there for the night and part of the morning i can't really comment on anything else. i think if you are just looking to stay one night it'll do and it's quite cheap. hope this was helpful.

Within walking distance of loads of restaurants as well as the main city centre. Friendly enough receptionist, we didn't actually eat in the restaurant but it was just perfect for a one night stay. The room was non smoking and did smell a little of cigarettes but it was spacious. I'd recommend it for the price.

No hot water and awoken by road works very early

are room was very grotty, there was a bad draft from the thin uncleaned windows that kept me awake all night. the room itself was not nice. it was worst hotel i have stayed at ever.

Very reasonably priced and very convenient for our needs. Not the most modern or well maintained hotel in the world but suited our needs very well

the receptionists were friendly and helpful, I had difficulty finding my room as the number had fallen off and was written in pen on the door I was disappointed with the room the net curtains were dirty and the curtains didn't match or fit the window, but the bed was spotless there was a lovely fresh smell from the sheets and it was very comfortable. the whole room would benefit from a lick of paint to freshen it up. I looked inside the kettle and the element was rusty I rang down to reception and within 5 minutes they brought a brand new kettle up to my room and took away the old one and the ladly was very helpful. on the first night I stayed the bar closed at 11 which was to early. the breakfast was very poor, cold and the coffee was made way to long you could stand a teaspoon on it I just ate fruit and juice and left.

The first room they assigned to us was on the top floor at the extreme end of the hall. No matter what we tried we could not get any hot water. The staff also tried to get hot water to the room and finally gave up and gave us another room. We had to move all our stuff ourselves, which was a pain, but the new room, on the 3rd floor and in the middle of the building, had hot water. The hotel was a good value for the price we paid through Hotels.com. However, I wouldn't pay their published rates.

This Hotle was horrible, dirty and smelly.

Room was cold and the electric heater put there was faulty, reception said they'd send another but never did. Widows were filthy. Called for room servive at 11pm to be told there was no hot food and teas and coffees where in the room. We ordered ham sandwiches but were called back after 45mins and told they had no ham would cheese do. When it arrived it was poorly presented with no glass for the coke. Breakfast was good though there never seemed to be any teaspoons. Dinner was a buffet which was just terrible. Sorry I am not normally a moaner and stay in hotels more than 20 times a year but that was the worst ever for a rated hotel group.

Uncomfortable bed and virtually no facilities of any merit. Decor is dated and falling apart.

It was ok for 1 night, a bit run down, (something out of the 80?s) , but rooms were big, and it was central. The main concern I had was the parking was in an open public car park under the flyover down the road! (pay and display too!) The map shows the parking next to the hotel, which wasn?t the case. For a longer trip I wouldn?t recommend it, especially if you drive there.

The hotel was extremely clean and tidy. The maids cleaned all the time. Myself and my partner stayed here for a Bon Jovi concert at the Ricoh. On the way we had an accident in our car and I phoned the hotel to let them know we would be running late. They booked a taxi for us to the hotel and were extremely helpful. Check in was quick and the staff were very friendly. The rooms were a bit dated but everything was clean and in good condition. Would definately recommend this hotel.

it was great being so close to the shops and bus station. Even though the room could have done with some touch ups it was comfortable and nice enough. I would stay again no questions asked!

Decor very tired. Bathroom needed attention, particularly hand basin which was very badly cracked - most unsavoury! Decor all round was 80's so needs updating. Would have liked a safe in room.

A bit of a disappointment with the service. The room had no TV remote control so i asked for one, and again, and again and again and again. I hope the next person who had the room benefited. This room was also a little bit cold - although others I've had in the same hotel have been fine.

This is an interesting hotel. It gives quite large rooms for the price but the quality can be quirky. I've found some rooms are better than others. This one had a terrible mattress and some of the bed covers had seen better days. The decor in the rooms is a bit worn - it looks like most refurbishment effort has gone into the lobby, which is superb. I've had better rooms in the same hotel.

Has seen better days, a long time ago. If you're used to a room that looks like it was squeezed out last month, then this will be a shock with you, as every long year has left its mark on the state of the room. Perhaps there's faded majesty to enjoy here, but...

Reasonable sized rooms at a reasonable cost. Limited service available on the TV (just the 5 terrestrial channels). Rooms definitely need updating: mattresses can be very uncomfortable, heating variable. But I love the place for its quirky nature and it is fairly central.

The general feel of the hotel was reasonable but the room was fairly poor. The biggest problems were that the majority of rooms face over a duel carriageway and bus station, and in our case, the heating and hot water were not operational and we were unable to shower or bathe properly before starting a hectic day of meeting suppliers. Car parking for the hotel is in a large council car park 300 metres away and only part of the charges are refunded by the hotel.

I liked this hotel. it appears quite grand but has lots of character. It does need refurbishing and some of the plumbing is quirky. Good sized double rooms though.

This was a good sized room for the price.The hotel is being refurbished and probably needs it, but I liked the room. Thebar shuts a little bit early. The staff were good.

There don't appear to be many hotels in the centre of Coventry, so it's location is useful. Apart from that there isn't a great deal to say to be honest - it's ugly (a little ragged in places and dated in terms of the furnishings), but as somewhere to stay with a clean room, hot shower and pretty comfortable bed, it certainly serves it's purpose. In summary - absolutely fine if you're going to Coventry for one or two nights.

Next door to a bus station. This was the best. Don't need to rent a car. Car parking is 10 pounds per night. Breakfast is 10 pounds per day. Wireless only works in the lobby, not in the room. Hotels.com gave me the best rate, their rates if booked directly were 80 pounds per night.

En plein centre de Coventry. Grande chambre très confortable. Personnel discret mais efficace. Petit déjeuner extra. Le parking tout proche est pratique, bien qu'un peu cher.

Otelde yenileme ve boya yapılıyordu. Otel çalışanları birkaç tanesi hariç soğuk tavırlar sergilediler, daha güleryüzlü bir yaklaşım beklerdim. Ayrıca akşam yemeği ve sabah kahvaltısı extra ücret ödememe ve pahalı olmalarına rağmen çok özensizdi. Çeşit az ve lezzetsiz.
