The stay was fine close to the race track and the price was very good will stay there in Srptember for the fall race the did not rip us off price wise because of the race if the price is the same we will stay there we were pleased with our stay
"A place to sleep"
Close to highway. Clean room. No frills. Minimal breakfast. Get what you pay for. Was sufficient for us to stop on are drive from Myrtle beach to Philadelphia.

Room was what I needed. I was in town and just needed a clean place to sleep. It was sufficient.

I took an exit too earily (not the one right off interstate). I questioned the safety of the location after going down that street. It is a nice clean place with respectable guests and good price. The staff is nice as well. I will stay again but will take the right exit.

"Decent stay"
The hotel is decent. I had the room closest to the front desk and everytime someone would open the front door there is a really loud door chime. The room was decent. The internet worked pretty good. You will need to get the wireless key from the front desk.

Found out from the cleaning lady that the room I was given, was occupied by a chain smoker for more than a month before he was kicked out for not paying rent(?); he broke few things in the room like the door. This room was inhabitable; still that's what I got and no replacement was provided after several request. The sheets could have been replaced. The small refrig in the room was unplugged and when plugged in was not working. Room was small but since we where only here for one night it didn't really concern us.

Convenient drive to Bon Secours Memorial Regional Medical Center in Mechanicsville, Va. Hotel is very good if you plan on spending all somewhere else, such as the hospital. Continental breakfast is adequate. Take your own shampoo.
"2nd time round and disgusting"
I stayed at this very same Super 8 Richmond Va on my way south. I had the same booking and neither time did they have the refrigerator notice as I need it for insulin storage. Anyhow, I got into the room and it was awful. The stench of old cigarettes was disgusting..I went down to tell the manager that I need spray at the very least ... he did come […] with some squirt stuff..but there is an old old easy chair which is actually torn, and Im sure absorbed a ton of smoke. The wifi was tough to use so I tried to call on the phone to ask the trouble..and the phone didnt go through..and it was filthy..ear piece and base. I tried to plug in the computer and the plug area was so dirty it had never been cleaned. The bathroom sink had burn stains on it. The area behind the taps was not cleaned. What a change from my visit on the 30th of January. I dont know how ...I was booked both times in a smoking room and never again..first time delightful and 2nd gross. I couldnt get out for dinner as there was a huge snow storm..so I ate in my stinky room..but did discover the window opened and so i was able to breath fresh air and freeze..i bundled up..made sure all my things were off the ground and furniture..and managed. I would definitely use it again, if necessary. Decent price for a couple days stay. I had no problem whatsoever and that is just the way I like it.

The location was perfect - just off the interstate - and the price was right. The room was clean and quiet. There was plenty of room outside to walk the dog. I definitely would stay at this location again and based on this experience I will book at another Super8 when the need arises.

Poor quality service from management. When we asked for extra pillows they told us no. Room service came at 7:30 A.M. and when asked to come back later they never did.

Reservation stated No breakfast included, but in fact, it was available to us, and very satisfying, with very good coffee. Clerk obligingly had everything ready for us 15 min. before the regular breakfast hours as we had to get on the road early. Comfortable room with all regular toiletries offered.

One lady did come out during breakfast and offered a tray to take up to room (with only 4 seats, necessary). Breakfast good, however. Overall the hotel stay was OK. For the price, what could be expected. All was well except the computer access was frequently interrupted with no explanation. One worker (male) was willing to reset the system to get it working again, the others(all female) just said, well no one else has reported any problems, and left me with no service. "College"
My husband and I drove my nephew to his first day of college and the hotel room provided the right amount of space for us. We received extra towels and the staff was friendly. Thanks for making our stay enjoyable!

Okay, it was clean and the staff was okay. However, let me list the maintenance problems: 1. First room until change requested had a constantly running toilet and a bad ballast in the florescent lighting. 2. The second room had missing knobs on the A/C unit that required pliers to change settings. The TV remote would not change the channels. "Super 8 in Virginia 15 min from King's Dominion"
The location is great for accessing 95, but the hotel is outdated inside and outside. I would try to stay at another hotel or more updated Super 8 that is not so old. As far as the complimentary breakfast, not much to talk about - I did not eat breakfast at the hotel. They had cereal, instant oatmeal, juice and french toast sticks.

Her smile was so big and seem like she HAPPY to help.. I did also witness Verizon at the site location as i was departing!! I was a little upset at first about not having internet but the way the Manger showed concern and gave a genuine attempt to help took all my concerns away! "The price is right"
I took my daughter to disney audtions and I rented the room for the weekend. The staff was very friendly and the room was clean. The hotel was clean and the hallways did not smell like smoke...

The hotel was literally across the exit ramp from the highway, which was nice. The room was very clean and the bed was comfortable. There had been a storm the day before we arrived (Friday) and therefore had no Internet access. That was a major pain seeing as how I was there on business. I managed to leach a weak signal from the neighboring Days Inn […] (which was advertising rates $8 cheaper than I had), but you would think over 24 hours would be more than enough time to get that fixed. "Ugh, no thanks!"
Driving directions sent me on a 10-mile detour in a kind of creepy, rundown area of Richmond suburbs. Also confusing because road construction had placed detours right around the hotel, making it more difficult to locate. No wi-fi, which, in spite of the cheap price of the "hotel," guests have come to need & expect while traveling. Old TV would've been […] fine if there had been a remote control. Awkward trying to get in the room because of how desk was located. In spite of criticisms, it's a Super 8 so I shouldn't expect too much.
