"basic rest"
The desk was very helpful with local advice, but the room was small and stuffy. Breakfast was nice with pancake machine. Overall, I'd stay there again only for the cost savings. We really enjoyed the Truman library, museum, and home.

"Great staff, but ..."
Staff was friendly and helpful, except when it came to wifi connection. It was down and after a reset, it wasn't sending the information correctly (dns, gateway, etc.) and this had to be hardcoded directly (which I don't believe they nor most know how to do). Breakfast was decent. Rooms were clean. Television made noises (I didn't turn it on, but my […] wife/kids did) and upon telling the staff, they asked "does it work?" I responded, "yes, but it's making noises; we don't care as it won't be on, but we wanted to let you know" response? "ok, as long as it's working." Parking lot is lit with what I can only describe as stadium lights; it is very lit up and easy to see where you're going in the middle of the night. "COCKROACHES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
My daughter and I stayed (well were going to stay) at this hotel when we attended the Taylor Swift concert. We arrived at 3p.m. to the hotel to check in. I did not have any immediate problems with the staff as I checked in. We went to our non-smoking room to find the strong smell of smoke. There was a recliner in the room that was very stained and looked […] to be about 20 years old. Long story short, we went to the concert and returned to the hotel at around 1:00 am with some food we had stopped for at a nearby drive-thru. I set the food on the desk in the room and started getting things ready to eat. In the time it took me to take the first sandwich out of the bag, there were already 2 cockroaches climbing up from behind the desk and heading right for our food! I quickly closed the bag but more cockroaches were already coming out from behind the desk! It was absolutely disgusting. As both of us had lost our appetites we threw the food away, packed our bags (after carefully inspecting everything) and left at 1:20 in the morning. I will never return to this hotel nor will I ever recommend this hotel to anyone! By the way, when I left the hotel, I told the man at the front desk about the cockroaches in the room all I got was him rolling his eyes at me! Great customer service!!! "good location and clean"
The hotel was located near the interstate. It was clean and well maintained. It is in a good neighborhood with good lighting. We arrived late at night so I do not know about restaurants near the hotel. There is a gas station nearby.

the beds in this room were horrible. they were wore out and saggy, you could feel the springs and when you sat on them they swayed. the room we had was on the back side of the hotel and the sun was shining thru the window so hot that the room was warm, even with the air on high. it wasn't until the sun went down that the room began to cool off. they […] need to put tint or dark shades on these rooms. the rooms were clean. Room smelled pretty bad, musty. Door was propped open w/ air on when we arrived, perhaps to air it out? Chair in room was quite worn and had tears in the arms. Coffee maker had no pot with it. Room was cheap, bed was comfortable. Was afraid to check into the breakfast. Would not stay there again.
"Hotel near Royals stadium"
Hotel was what I expected for the price, upon arrival my room that I had reserved had already been given to someone else. The clerk upgraded my room to a King size bed. "Super 8 Independence, MO"
Conveniently located for our primary reason to visit - the Truman Library & Museum. Found some good restaurants nearby. Quiet and comfortable. Accommodating staff. Grandson enjoyed is own room across the hall. Keys required patience.
Pictures of motel did not match. Old big tv sets. Pool was not that great.
Room was fine, internet connection did not work. Had up-charge for in room safe for which I did not request.

Very nice clean motel with courteous staff. Desk clerk offered to more her vehicle so that our pick-up with unlocked truck bed could be observed by night staff. We were transporting some furniture across country.
Hanicapt room was being referbished and all other rooms were up or down stairs so we could not stay at the supper 8 because my Wife is in a Wheel chair, but the staff was very helpfull in that they got a room at a motel next door with no change in our reservations. "Weekend stay..."
The hotel is conveniently located near I-70 only 2 exits from Kaufman Stadium. We had a room with 2 queen size beds on the third floor. The room was clean and bathroom was adequate small but adequate and had plenty of hot water. The continental breakfast was good and we had no issues during our stay to watch the Cardinals play the Royals. I'd recommend […] this hotel for its convenience, comfort and affordability. "Super 8 and super smelly"

"Good discount motel - Independence, MO"
The motel was in a good area, convenient to the interstate and close to a Starbucks! The breakfast area was very small and could not accomodate the number of guest trying to use it.

the hotel was very convenient to arrowhead stadium - rooms were clean. The only problem was we were next to the lobby and it was very noisy.

Location was great. Easy to get around to other places. The rooms were comfortable and clean.

We felt the location was great as well as the surrounding area but the room didn't feel clean and the halls smelled of smoke.

The only real issues I had with the hotel were the smell of my room and the air conditioner going on and off all night. Everything else was great.

very nice for a weekend of royals games. right next to a sheridan's frozen custard and a quik trip. very close to truman sports complex in a nice neighborhood. wasn't a 5 star hotel, but it was a nice super 8 if you're not spending too much time at your room.

Staff worked to help solve problems, and were able to satisfy my needs for business related internet access.

The room was clean, most staff were friendly. But...., One morning we had a maid talking very loudly to the pool maintenance man at 8am right outside several rooms, including ours. We had to shut our window. When another maid cleaned our room the first morning, she took the used towels and wash clothes, but did not replace them. I had gotten pool towels […] from the front desk and put them on the TV, so maybe she saw them and thought we had plenty, but we needed those for the pool, 'cause the had a rule not to use the room towels for the pool area!?? Anyway, the maids supervisor came to the door and opened it without realizing we had returned already, and instead of checking herself, asked if everything was ok. I hadn't seen the missing towels and wash clothes yet, so I said everything was fine. When I had to call back to the desk to ask for towels an hour later, the same supervisor came to our door and said, "I asked you earlier if everything was ok, and you said yes!!!" Anyway, the pillows were quite lumpy too, but I guess all in all, it wasn't too bad for the price and convenience. If I were the manager, however, I would definately change a few things! Enjoy!! The breakfast was very good, but the bed was not comfortable at all. Although this was a reasonable rate compared to others in the area, we still felt it was overpriced.

Shower curtain leaked through and got everything in the bathroom wet. Appeared to be made of cloth and did not stop any water. Got all our things in the bathroom wet.
