Excellent for the price it was. Nice, clean neighborhood of Ann Arbor near the North Campus of UofM. Buy the room for double beds because the price is about the same but more roomy. That is what I did - alone. Free room phone calls around all the USA ! I liked the simple breakfast too - it was all fresh and ok tasting even if it came out of bags...Danishes were great ( I do not usually even eat pastry). The only negative I found was that the walls are not the thickest! Ask to live in the 3rd floor and in the court yard (front side). While in town try Red Hawk's fajita salad, and Olga's Kitchen! ( I used to live here for school in the 90's and they have been around since!)

I was impressed by the room (with two large flat screen TV's) and the quality of service. Everybody was really friendly. However, three out of four lamps in the room did not work, also the air condition was inoperative. A call to the bell desk brought a technician to my room in a minute or so (very fast) and these things were fixed. The complimentary breakfast was modest, just tee/coffee, some muffins etc. The location could not be better. Both Greektown and the GM Renaissance Center are just around the block.

The hotel was great except we did not get room service. No one came in to clean our room. We had to call to get clean towels.

I stayed here NYE night the ppl below me were drunk and kept calling the front desk lying saying we were loud. We were woken out of are sleep twice b/c of them the person at desk kept calling, thirdly the ppl below us bang on the ceiling and woke the whole room up. "Hotel is old and very noisy"
This hotel is quite noisy. Everytime someone flushes or turns on a water faucet, you can hear it throughout the building. Makes sleeping a challenge.

"Pet Friendly Marriott Residence Inn in Livonia, MI"
Our stay was a novel experience for us in several ways. It was first time we spent Christmas in a hotel and lived there for more than a week with our two cats. We didn't know what to expect and were pleasantly surprised to find the staff cheerful, friendly, very helpful and considerate of travelers with pets. The suite was comfortable, clean and well-stocked. […] The location was exceptional for nearness to family, shopping and a variety of restaurants. We were amazed at the value. "September stay"
The hotel is very nice and convenient to shopping and restaurants. The bed was very uncomfortable though.

"Great room for the money"
I was surprised to get a good deal for the weekend. Residence Inn was nice as usual. I didn't like that I had to walk outside to get to the breakfast area and breakfast was closed at 9 versus 10 on weekends but all in all, I enjoyed my stay.

My wife and I were looking for something close to family. We had never been to this hotel, but being that we knew Residence Inn, and therefore booked the room. Once we checked into the hotel, we were very impressed(I did not think we needed a sink, stove, etc but my wife did) The price was great for the quality of room we got.

We continue to use the Residence Inn Livonia because the price is very reasonable for such a clean, attractive, quiet and thoughtfully appointed room. Very nice fitness area and a breakfast that offers more hot and cold selections than I've encountered anywhere else. "Even my wife was amazed.,.."
My wife is very particular about the hotels we use during our travel. In one case she woke me up at 4AM to tell me she couldn't stay in a less clean room another minute and we were out of there within 10 minutes. The room was excellent! It had marble countertops, a fireplace, good sized baths, a kitchenette with a full sized fridge. Very clean room, […] hallways, elevators, entryways. I would have like larger screen TVs and a king sized bed, but still a very good place There are very good restaurants and shopping within walking distance and easy on/off access to the expressway. "Great deal!"
We had a two bedroom suite at a great price. Service was excellent and the hot breakfast was a daily treat. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone and will be returning myself for a trip in the Fall!
