Quality Inn & Suites South Bend - South Bend

The toliet did not flush and when we asked for an extra blanket they acted very put out and said they did not have room service. The fire sprinkler was hanging down from the ceiling in our room and we did not know if it was even working.

The Hotel is old. Can hear noises from everywhere. The only advantage is closeness to airport.

If yoiu stay in the Summer...check the AC before settling into your room. Mine was HOT! Other than that....good for the $$

I found the Quality Inn to be just fine. Very clean - very manageable - extremely friendly. Near enough to a restaurant that you could walk there - so that was fine - and the breakfast was actually a 'full breakfast' in the morning. So value for money - you really can't beat it. I'd gladly stay there again.

This hotel has been completely updated and remodeled. I thought it was new! I found it VERY clean and comfortable. It was the best sleep I have had in a longggg time!

The hotel was pretty easy to find, although if you don't pay attention you may end up at the hotel next door. The staff when I checked in were very polite. The rooms was in ok condition. Room and location were great. Only one problem. I continue to have problems with room entry cards. This one was worse than most.

There was a construction in the dining area that a bit bothersome. The chlorine in the pool was way too strong. The room was clean but the hallway was smelly..

The Quality Inn Southbend was a dirty and un kept hotel. The carpeting in the halls didnt look that old but was very dirty and smelled of mold or "stale". The room that I requested was nonsmoking. The room itself didnt smell of smoke, however te entire 2nd floor did and when I reported it to the desk, a woman said that the entire 2nd floor was to be […] nonsmoking and she would send someone to spray. The room itself smelled stale also. The carpet in the main areas looked dirty and in corners and under tables was completly dusty as if never touched. The bathroom was dirty looking, not soiled but dirty. The shower head had pink mildew on it. One of the 2 outlets available for use didnt hold the plug in place. It was just okay. Nothing special, nothing jumps out at you that was impressive or really terrible. So, just avereage.

In all my years of writing reviews, I have never found a property that couldn't be improved - until we stayed here. This is a brand new hotel where the beds, pillows, cleanliness, friendliness, breakfast and amenities are outstanding. Breakfast included eggs and bacon!! Big pillows. Lots of "little touches" in decor that show the management is putting […] TLC into this operation. Huge flat screen tv. microwave and fridge in room. This is a fantastic bargain!! All in all, the hotel was very nice. It seemed as though the hotel only had a husband and wife as the employees and so that left them a little short at times. It didn't seem that any of the breakfast things for heating food up worked properly, but otherwise it was a very nice and clean hotel.

Hotel was clean (though obviously the hallways could use some touch-ups). Room was spacious and comfortable. Staff were pleasant. Breakfast was ok, with waffle maker, cereal, breads, yogurt, juice, coffee and a small hot tray of biscuits and gravy. My stay was ok. The room was very nice and clean. Close to the highway to get to different places.

I picked this hotel because it was convenient to our destination in New Carlisle IN. We were very satisfied.

I dont know what else to say about this hotel other than dump. room was beat up, the door to the room allowed so much light in that I could read a newspaper, seriously, I had to stuff newspaper into the door cracks and had to stuff towels under the door to block out haway light so I coud sleep. The rooms were clean with adequate amenities. Continental breakfast with waffle maker was re-freshed by staff as needed. We were in town for Notre Dame football, so paid more than we generally prefer but less than most area hotels for that weekend.

Hotel room was great for the money. Some of our lights did not work, but other than that the room was great. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone.

If you are going for a Notre Dame game, this hotel will suit your needs but don't expect much from the surrounding area. Also I expected a better quality room. The microwave was ancient and I had no idea how to use it. Also I don't know when the bathroom became a good place to keep a coffee machine.

We stayed here during ND football. The hotel was busy but the staff was pleasant. Average room. But although the room was nonsmoking it is adjacent to and apparently over smoking rooms. Smoke was difficult to avoid. The hotel is convenient to the airport and all the sites including campus. For the money on a ND football weekend, we'll likely look elsewhere […] next year. Good hotel, but needs some maintenance. Room was great the whirlpool didn't work and the breakfast was just ok. Very friendly staff made up for the few bad items listed above.

The room was clean, spacious, and looked fairly new. Breakfast was well-stocked. The people at the front desk were very helpful.

Had a wake up call set by dialing into the phone...i woke up to shower noise in the room next to us and it was an hour past the set wake up time... oh well, i should have had a back up plan.

Good Value, Great Breakfast, Friendly Staff, Convenient for Notre Dame Games.

The continental breakfast was good. There was a nice variety available. But be aware that the breakfast hours are from 6:30am-9:30am. At 9:29 am (as we were still eating) the lights were turned off and the hotel clerk started removing the food. There was no greeting or smile. In general, the hotel was fine -- but it was virtually impossible to shower. Water pressure was very poor.

I would recommend this hotel because it is very convenient to the airport, yet it was quiet and you would not know you were within walking distance to the airport. The bed was a little uncomfortable, but overall the room was very spacious and comfortable. The breakfast in the morning was very good and helped to get the day started off on the right  […] foot.
