Decent motel at San Luis Obispo. We took room from hotels.com for a night, just for a stop during our trip. Room is little outdated, but comfortable and clean. Thin walls and doors makes that noise from yard is clearly to be heard. The staff was polite and complimentary breakfast was good. Especially waffles. Although, good place to stay for quite cheap price. Recommended.

They told me the hotel was non smoking, yet the next door neighbor was smoking, we could smell it.

Clean, comfortable and great location at the beach for the price, but there is no climate control mechanism in the room - just a ceiling fan that only had one speed: tornado. We happened to be there on one of the hottest days seen by Pismo in a long time so without the fan the room was stuffy. "Cottage Inn-quiet and convenient"
There are a number of places to stay in Pismo that are convenient to a lot of activities. Cottage Inn was great because of it's proximity to the beach and restaurants. You can literally walk out of your room a short distance and take the steps down to the beach. Absolutely beautiful views. Easy access to lobby area with plenty of parking. Check in was […] quick, though the gentleman that helped us was kind of robotic but polite. Room was nice, everything clean and made up. Bathroom was very small and the sink was so low and small that I could barely lean over to wash my face without hitting my head on the faucet.. Fireplace was a nice touch. Shower was pretty good. Coffee maker was convenient. One thing I did not like was that the bathroom door was a slider. It was old and not easy to slide. Breakfast was actually pretty good, with a waffle maker, a bagle slicer, muffins, cereals, fruit, cottage cheese and all the usual breakfast drinks. We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The room was absolutely charming, and the bed was so comfortable & soft! The staff was very accommodating & a pleasure to be around. The view of the Pacific was simply breathtaking!

"Like staying at a Harry Potter cottage"
Loved the long wooden stairs to the beach; unlike anything we expected. Comfortable beds; easy parking. Didn't have a/c which would have helped with the high humidity. Good tv service; computer service; excellent breakfast till 10am which is 1 hour longer than normal. Great view from the back garden/sitting area. I really liked this Inn. The room was very nice and comfortable and relatively quiet. I loved the hot tub and the beach. I would definitely recommend this place. I also found out that they accept dogs. That is nice!

"Cottage Inn by the Sea - a pleasant stay"
Well this was a little Gem of a find . Perched atop Pismo beach this great little hotel was a great stop over for us as we travelled North to Monteray via San Simeon . The room was pleasantly furnished , the view from the pool area fantastic , convenient access to the beach for an early morning walk . This hotel was great for our one night stay in Pismo Beach. It is right on the ocean (has steps down to the beach) and you can sit in the pool and hot tub and overlook the ocean. "Cozy & cute"
Very nice place for the price. We stayed overnight as we were seeing the castle the next morning. We visited the restaurant next door and it was very nice. Good food for a good price. Only downside, lots of dogs. We are not pet people.

This is our favorite place to stay in Pismo. It is on the cliffs above the sea. We enjoy the view and walking on the beach before sunset. The rooms are nicely appointed with a fireplace and refrigerator. The staff is always very nice and they have a great breakfast bar.

This is a lovely property with outstanding, friendly service from the staff. Rooms that are closer to the southeast side of the property can be noisy. The clifftop, beach front area is spectacular, but needs to be better maintained/cleaned by the hotel staff. Rooms are comfortable and well-maintained.

"Our Weekend in Pismo !"
We had a great time ! Lots of good food and drink. The weather was a wonderful change from the Central Valley. Walking around town, out on the peir. The hotel staff were very nice, they loaned us a cork screw, helped us out with some directions. All and all it was a very pleasant stay !!!! Enjoyed it very much....

"Love to go back"
Only thing that sucked about my stay in Pismo beach was that the water was too cold!!!!
