Hyatt Regency McCormick Place - Chicago

This is the only good hotel near McCormick Place, and it is far better than it has to be with that enviable monopoly. Rooms are Hyatt standard but quiet and well-equipped.and everything works. If there is a conference at the convention this THE BEST place to stay. There is a sky bridge from the conf center to the Hyatt and it is extremely convenient. Apart from the convention center there is really nothing much around this Hyatt.

Stayed at the the hotel for St Patrick's day weekend. Had the parking and internet included in my stay. There were signs that said you could park in the convention center for the hotel so I did. Come to find out that they charge you for that, the front desk person when I checked in was nice enough to tell me that I would be credited the amount if i […] brought back a reciept of paymnt which I did. Upon checking out come to find out they charged me a again for parking instead of crediting my card. The person who checked us out, Louis was very rude and treated me with nothing but attitude and disrespect. The room its self was not worth the price I paid, the bed looked like it wasn't made and the noise in the hallway was going on till 2 or 3 am. I had to go out multiple times to ask people to keep it down and when I told the front desk about it, they didn't say or do anything about it. The only good thing about the hotel staff was the consierge who reccomended a good place to eat. I've had similar experiences at other top rate hotels. When you book a room at a discounted price, what you might get is the least desirable room available.

was fine but they need mroe staff in the restaurant on Auto Show weekend.

The room, should be rated a 2 star. The staff was great but the room was noisy, $10 charge to use the internet (in the year 2012 is crazy!) and the furniture was rickety. I would not stay here again - too many other choices in Chicago for the same price. I paid for the awake service - not sure what it was since it doesn't appear that we got it.

I enjoyed my stay soooo much, that I will be returning on July 4th. My view was awesome, so I requested the same view. Thanks for a wonderful and peaceful stay. I always recommend my friends and family to your hotel. It is not only comfortable, but; convenient.

The hotel staff including the restraint staff were exceptional. My daughter enjoyed the food at the bar and the buffet. The security was on point and we were safe and secure. She enjoyed the comedy show and this was a great experience she shared with a friend. Everything I needed was meet to total satisfaction.

I loved my stay at the Hyatt McCormick Center. I was in a "view room" on the 33rd floor--which was probably possible only because I stayed there on a day when there was no convention. The view of the Chicago skyline at night and also the lake to the east was the best I've seen in Chicago. I also have to give credit to the man who greeted me and got […] me thru check-in. He was exceptional--a real class act. The room was immaculate, the bed and linens really comfy, and quiet reigned on the 33rd floor. Everyone at the Hyatt was very attentive to their patrons' needs. It started at the front door on arrival and continued throughout my entire stay. Hotel was clean and convenient to downtown.

If you are attending a show, this is the perfect hotel, 2 minute walk to the show. A little more than I would have liked to spend, but if you are only staying one or two nights, worth the money.

The staff was very courteous and extremely helpful. I had lost my mac pro laptop and their staff went out their way to get it back to me ASAP. t

Hotel as a whole was a great stay. The consierge suggested a great place for dining and over all the stay was great. Took the park & surf option - would highly reccomend if you are planning on staying the weekend. Did not eat breakfast at the hotel (not a big breakfast eater) but it looked good. Just ate a muffin from the little cafe they have in the […] hotel. The only down side to this hotel and my stay was that there was A LOT of noise. The walls are paper thin and you literally can hear someone sneeze in the room next to you. There was a lot of commotion in the hall after 10pm (drunks coming back late) and although we called guest services twice the noise continued. Thanks to ear plugs we were able to sleep. That is the only downside to the hotel that we had, the staff and everyone else was very helpful, they had a shuttle for the Air & Water show that saved us from walking/driving. There is nothing, I repeat nothing, anywhere near this hotel....... The room was pretty dated and actually not all that clean upon closer inspection- hairs in the tub, dirty comforter and pillows and tears on the leather chair. Not good at all.

Impressed for its (1) smooth HVAC system (2) drapers system design (3) supply with tooth paste (4) convenient boarding pass printing in the hotel lobby. Disappointed for (4) no ventilation vent in the bath room to get rid of smells…(5) no shower cap supply (6)$25 charge for a mini refrigerator (7)$3 for a bottle of water in the room (8) very slow house […] keeping service after guest request…(9) poor coffee maker and coffee quality. I recently visited this hotel when I came to Chicago for the Taste of Chicago from Houston. I'm originally from Chicago and knew this location would be great. I'm a native and this is my favorite hotel in Chicago - conveniently located on the South side outside of hectic downtown and north side. Rooms are simple but clean and comfortable, have great views of either the impressively lit downtown skyline or the more subdued south shore. If you're lucky you'll get a lake view. The hotel was very clean and comfortable. It was a busy weekend but that did not affect the customer service we received from the staff. Daniel (Doorman) was very welcoming and professional. Front desk staff was very friendly as well. We ordered room service a little close to their closing time, and still received very good service.

stayed at mccormick hyatt for my trip to see U2 concert at soldier field. it was a perfect location - easy walking distance to concert which saved me 45$ in parking cost. The hotel itself was fine, but the notable problem was when I checked out of the hotel. I had to pay an extra $60.00 ($30.00 per parking space) This obvious hidden fee should have been included when I booked the hotel online at hotels.com. We're a family of four with two teens and really enjoyed our stay, even though it was a bit snug. Fabulous view from 31st floor, nice walk to Soldier Field for the concert and to the Shedd. Wish we had taken advantage of hotel's advance ticket sales for Shedd...buying transportation passes at the front desk was so convenient! Easy to catch a bus to […] Michigan Ave shopping, too. We took a group of girl scouts to Chicago to give them a "big city" experience. The rooms were clean and comfortable and the staff was friendly and accommodating. We found the transportation into the city to be convenient. I would reccommend this hotel.

I had a great time staying at the Hayatt! This place is minutes from everything fun in Chicago. We found it was within walking distance of Navy Pier, and shopping centers in downtown. The breakfast was yummy and staff was friendly. The parking garage I would say is the only downside, paying additional to park each day and even getting some door dings […] in my car from careless guests. But on the bright-side, the rooms are nice and well designed. Even the view of downtown is great, I remember taking at least 20 or 30 pictures from the room. The pool and 24 hour gym are great extras even though I only used them slightly. Pros: Location View of city Breakfast Friendly Staff and Helpful Pool & Gym Stylish Rooms very modern Restaurants in hotel Hotel in general was just FANTASTIC!
