Hampton Inn Phoenix Midtown - Downtown Area - Phoenix

It was nice. Made those reservations by mistake. Thought it was closer to downtown. The only complaint was that the A/C controls were not working very well and the room temperature was uncomfortable.

This hotel is perfect if you have to stay close to St Joseph's hospital. The staff were friendly and helpful especially when we needed a late check out because of medical appointments that went over. We will definately stay there again.

We were very satisfied with the hotel. We arrived early from the airport and allowed to check in early. Thank you.

We took this hotel because it is close to St Joseph's Hospital. For that, it is perfect. Also nearby coffee shops and restaurants. It is clean and the staff is wonderful and helpful. On the downside, you get helicopers coming into land at the hospital day and night. Also, while we were there, trucks came in at 7:40 AM to pick up huge trailers of waste […] from the renovations at the hotel. Two nights of interrupted sleep. I've stayed here before and I'll stay here again. It is always a wonderful experience, friendly desk clerks, clean and comfortable rooms, delicious breakfast - what more could you ask for?

I was extremely disappointed by the lack of cleanliness in my room. The carpet was filthy!! The comforter had several strands of long black hair as did the bathroom floor. Although the staff was friendly, I would not recommend this particular hotel nor will I return.

We had a comfortable stay at the Hampton Inn. The room was clean. We picked this hotel because it was closest to the US Airways and had the best price. The Good Egg was in walking distance and served an excellent breakfast. We would stay here again.

Booked hotel for two night stay in Phoenix. Excellent location in Mid-town, within walking distance to light rail that goes to downtown and surrounding areas. Offers full breakfast including waffles, cereals, fruit, eggs, sausages, and a variety of coffees and teas. Complimentary wifi and USA today, water in lobby (you will need this for hydration in this hot city), fruit baskets, were all a nice extra touch. Front desk staff (esp. Mary Beth), were super friendly and gave us lots of great ideas about places to visit and eat. Train schedules, maps, tourist attractions- all very knowledgeable and helpful. Only complaint was concerning the room- both beds had hair strands in the sheets, which leads me to believe they were not changed after the previous guests left. Bathtub was stopped up. Notified housekeeping staff who changed the bedding. Offered to be moved to another room or use a different bath/shower, but we only had one more night and felt we could live with it. We were extremely pleased with this hotel. We were attending a 3-day event that was held downtown. We looked into staying downtown and the prices were much more expensive per night, with extra charges for internet, breakfast and parking. Based on this we looked into other options and found the Hampton Inn. It is located one-block from a light-rail station, […] which had frequent trains and was only a 10 minute ride to downtown. Our room was very comfortable, the service was excellent, and the complimentary continental breakfasts were better than most. Others attending the same event who stayed at downtown hotels were very dissatisfied with their rooms and the quality of the service. We would definitely stay at this Hampton Inn again. Lisätietoja

I felt very welcome when I entered the hotel. The rooms were clean and very comfortable. The desk had several power outlets available. The breakfast was very complete. Waffles, hard boiled eggs, some type of sausage, yogurt, many breads, instant oatmeal, fresh cut fruit and cold cereal. The pool is not heated and the hot tub was wonderful. There is […] a small workout room with a weight system, eliptical, step machine and treadmill (no bike). The location is out of the busy, noisy areas of town, but quite convenient to everything. Driving to the Performance Center and Basketball Arena was a ten minute, traffic free adventure. Close to really good local restaurants and friendly staff.

This place is NICE! It doesn't have the glitz and glamor but it does have the essentials. I was so impressed with the mini fridge and microwave. I was completely shocked at the lap desk they provided! The bed and pillows were so soft and comfortable. Even the duvet was soft and warm. I can't say anything about the free breakfast since we chose to go somewhere else for breakfast, but it did smell good when we passed by. The location is RIGHT next to a hospital but honestly I didn't hear a thing. It was very quiet. There were no obnoxious kids running down the hall or loud noises anywhere. The only complaints I have are that the toilets are oddly LOW. I'm short and I felt I was squatting on the floor! And also the little lotion bottle was only half way full...that's kinda gross at the thought that a stranger used it before me. Very minor details though. All in all I can't wait to stay here again. We traveled to Phoenix from San Diego for the Padres spring training and thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Hampton Inn. The staff was VERY friendly and had excellent recommendations. There were plenty of restaurants to choose from near by, the pool was clean although well used as many staying at the hotel were enjoying themselves! Upon checkin - we were told they had overbooked and were full. The room we had reserved had been given to someone else. We had 3 people (2 adult males and 1 13 year old) and were given ONE DOUBLE BED. They sent a rollaway - but when we set it up and laid on it - it feel through - couldn't hold more weight than a toddler. So one of us ended us sleeping […] in the office chair, the other on the floor and one in the bed. We rotated each night - for 3 nights. NOT HAPPY! Was told there was nothing that could be done. We had a very enjoyable stay. The staff couldn't have been more helpful. They were always pleasant and concerned that we were having a good visit and finding what we needed. Hampton Inns are always our first choice when we travel. Thanks for adding to our enjoyment of Phoenix.

Overall the hotel was great! The room was extremely comfortable although the thermastat was not working. It kept the room cool, then we simply turned it off and back on when needed. Our weekend was spent at a local downtown museum so we simply walked to the Light Rail and back, super efficient! Cleaning staff were nice, provided additional towels, and […] not just one or two like I'm use to, but they gave us 5 large comfy towels! The best part of our stay was the late check-out. We got in late, and asked for an additional hour which was given without hesitation! We didn't use our laptops, so not sure how quick wi-fi was, but I know it was available. We also didn't make the breakfast, but they served it until 10 am. Next time I'm in downtown Phoenix...I'm checking into the Hampton Inn! Lisätietoja

The room, location, service and hospitality was great, but the shower sink was plugged up and made showering an inconvenience. Other than the shower problem, it was centrally located in decent part of downtown Phoenix with plenty of nearby restaurants and convention center.

They were pleasant and accommodating. The room was clean and comfortable with refrigerator and microwave. Free continental breakfast was nice. The hotel is a very short walking distance to starbucks and some restaurants and quite convenient. I would recommend this hotel to others.

Very nice hotel, amazing beds, 3 min walk from metro line. Clean, great breakfast, wonderful staff. Sort of hard to find being tucked away behind the hospital, but the area was surpisingly quite.

The value for the room rates are excellent & it includes a FREE breakfast! Not a continental breakfast but a full hot breakfast with a variety of healthy choices. Having a mini-frig & micowave in the room is a definite plus, as well. Excellent customer service was provided during my entire 5 day stay. They have a very friendly & helpful staff. Hospital Helicopter Pad was close by - Noise was awful 3 times during night. It's a well kept up hotel in a less than perfect location.
