"Best value in town!!!"
This is perhaps the most comfortable hotel bed I've ever slept in - and I've slept in many! Room was clean, service was personable and kind. Little breakfast was great (fresh cereal, waffle cooker, hard boiled eggs, nice rolls and real juice. The price was the lowest in town and the location perfect.

"Econo Lodge in Rochester MN"
This hotel stay was one of the best overnight experiences that my wife and I have had for quite a while. The location was real good, check in was quick & simple, you could tell that the building was well maintained inside and out. The people were friendly, easy access to the highway, the room was clean and comfortable, really nice recliner and flat […] screen tv and close to a good place to eat. good clean hotel for the price ranges. Convenient and easily accessible to places. Room security is very good and sound proof. The reception clerk is good and courteous.
"So-So"
When I arrived, check-in was fast and when I got to my room, it was clean & decent in size. Lighting was alright, but the windows are large which let in a lot of natural light (which was nice). I was on the bottom floor so my view was the parking lot, but that didnt bother me to much. Other then that, here are the some pros and cons: PROS - nice and cozy, quite inside from outside noise (which is rare with the parking lot being on the outside wall). Theres a fridge and microwave in the room. Checking out at noon was AWESOME, no rush to get out!!! CONS - the air conditioner was really loud and went off every 2 hours, which made it hard to sleep; breakfast was only from 6 to 9 (but there is a Perkins next door and you can get 10% off with your room key); bed was really stiff too. "Nice for short stay"
Our stay was very short, but we needed a good night's rest and a decent meal. This hotel offered both. The only down side was our air conditioner did not cool very well, and it was the type that blew air across your bed leaving me with a sinus infection. This happens in more expenisve hotels, too. All in all, we would choose to stay here again.

We stayed at the Econolodge in Rochester the night before we ran a marathon. We found the check-in process to be very quick and efficient with a friendly clerk. The roon was very clean and nice. This hotel is just a couple of miles up Broadway from the Mayo Clinic with easy access to the clinic either by car, shuttle, bike or walk (if you so desire). The room was adequate for our needs. "Best Hotel Stay in Years"
This hotel is fantastic. The rooms were immaculate, the location is very convenient to food and gas, and the staff goes out of their way to be helpful and polite. I wish all hotels were this nice and all staffs were this helpful. I would recommend this hotel to anyone. It is a great place to stay and I wish more establishments were this nice.
I think the price could have been cheaper than $65. It was a Saturday night but the room only had 1 queen bed and a bathroom. Also small refrigerator and microwave. Very small room. But worked out fine for just my daughter and I.

Bathroom too small unless you are a dwarf! Overpriced for Econo Lodge. But all these 'rinky dink' hotels charge too much because of location to Mayo Clinic. For a little more $, Staybridge Suites much better choice.

"Clean, quiet, friendly"
Stayed here five nights for Mayo-related visit. Nothing fancy, but totally served our needs. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Rooms are small, but plenty adequate -- and quiet. Location is great: just two miles to Mayo if you want to drive, a shuttle bus is available if you don't. Lots of restaurant choices nearby.

"Went for Mayo visit"
Clean, quiet and comfortable. Close to Mayo (2 miles). Simple free continental breakfast. Just want to note there is not an elevator and our room had 2 double/full beds. Not sure if they have King rooms.

We have traveled extensively but this was one of the best experiences of all. From the very first day we felt as if the staff was genuinely interested in making the stay as pleasant as possible. "Clean, comfortable and quiet for reasonable price"
I wanted a hotel that was clean, quiet and comfortable. This hotel met these needs. Very nice staff. Our room was clean, and faced to the back of the hotel. We looked out on a neighborhood, so it was quiet sleeping with the window cracked open. The bed was very comfortable... Having a recliner in the room was great as well. Flat screen TV, fridge and […] microwave all helped with our stay. 24x7 coffee and tea service in the lobby was very nice. They serve breakfast, but our hours didn't allow us to take advantage of this... The Perkins next door gives you 10% if you show your room key. Sweet!!! "EconoLodge Rochester, MN - Great central location"
The staff was amazingly polite and helpful. Excellent customer service makes a big difference!! Smaller, but very clean room. Bed was very firm. Everything else was perfect. Shuttle to the clinic was so convenient. Be sure to ask for the weekly rate if you are at the Mayo for an extended stay.

Got just what we wanted - nothing fancy, but a clean and secure place to sleep. I was totally satisfied, but my husband had trouble sleeping because of the noisy room air conditioner.

We were pleased with the hotel. Breakfast was great, rooms were clean and quiet. I believe we booked a queen room and we were in a double bed.

I realized when I booked that this was an old property, and I was very pleasantly surprised to find out how well it was maintained. The rooms were quite clean and pleasant. And the combo of free breakfast and free pizza supper were something I haven't run into at any other hotel.

We liked the fact that there was a shuttle schedule available to the Mayos clinics and that you did not have to sign up to ride, just be in the lobby at the right time.
