Erittäin siisti ja hyvinhoidettu. Henkilökunta ystävällistä,mutta ei aina tavoitettavissa, joten sopii hyvin itsenäiselle matkaajalle. Ympäristö miellyttävä; jonkun mielestä ehkä liian kaukana keskustasta (n.3 km), mutta bussit kulkee vierestä, eikä kävellenkään mene kuin parikymmentä minuuttia. Toisaalta aivan vieressä upea Holyrood Park ja lähellä myös Cameron Toll-ostoskeskus. Ainoa miinus on pienehköt huoneet ja niiden narisevat lattiat, mutta hyvät unet sai silti; ei mikään meluisa nuorisomesta. Paljon brittiasiakkaita.

"Point-hotelli Edinburghissa - ihan mukiinmenevä"
Hotelli oli melko mukava. Huone oli tilava, saimme pyynnöstä huoneen ylempiin kerroksiin linna-näköalalla. Kylpyhuone aika kulahtanut, mutta ihan ok. Aamiainen kallis: kannattaa syödä muualla pikkukuppiloissa, jos ei ihan heti herättyä ole kiljuva nälkä. Hotellin lounge-tyyppinen baari oli upea jazz-bändin esiintyessä. Lähellä hyvä kahvila (Starbucks) […] ja aivan mahtava italialainen ravintola (Bar Italia). Suht lähellä monta ruokailupubia. Ruokailun kannalta sijainti siis hyvä. Kävelymatkaa vanhaan kaupunkiin ja shoppailualueille on kuitenkin sen verran paljon ettei ihan heppoisesti tule välillä poikettua hotellilla. Respan palvelu oli todella ystävällistä ja auttavaista. Vieressä on pubeja, joten korvatulpat kannattaa varata, jos ei siedä ääniä. Muutamasta kutisevasta iholäikästä (1 vrk matkan jälkeen) ja yhdestä kylpyhuoneessa vilahtavasta ötökästä päätellen hotellissa ehkä oli vähän luteita käyntimme aikana, mutta voihan niitä tarttua matkalaukkuihin jopa lentokentiltä. Loistava sijainti,. Nähtävyydet oli lähellä. Lähellä keskustaa. Ikkunasta avautui kaunis linna maisema. Rauhallinen sijainti. Ystävällinen henkilökunta. Viihdyimme ja nautimme. Kiitokset hotelin henkilökunnalle. Edinburg oli mukava kaupunki kohde jonne on mukava uudelleenkin palata.

Hotelli sijaitsee todella hyvällä paikalla - kävellen pääsee nähtävyyksille, shoppailemaan, pubeihin ja yökerhoihin. Huoneet ovat isoja ja osassa huoneista on hienot näkymät Edinburghin linnalle. Huoneet tarvitsisivat hieman kunnostusta.

Edinburgh on hieno kaupunki. The Point Hotel sijaitsee hyvällä paikalla . Linna näkyi ikkunasta. Erittäin ystävällinen henkilökunta. Siisti huone ja mukava sänky. Brittiläiseen tapaan vesihanoissa toivomisen varaa. Receptionista sai aamiaiskupongin kaksi yhden hinnalla, englantilaisessa aamiaisessa ei valittamista. Hinta-laatusuhde hyvä.

"Perfect location in Edinburgh's Old Town"
Do not expect top-of-the-ranks quality, but the rooms are comfortable enough. Also, our room on the 4th floor had a splendid view on the Castle. Grassmarket, with all it's nice pubs, is only a few hundred metres away. Also, the Royal Mile was only a nice, 10-15min, walk through the Old Town of Edinburgh away. "ideal location"
Hotel ideally situated for the city. Room was airy and comfortable with a good view of the back of the Castle. Breakfast was a bit hit and miss on the second morning we were there though as I don't think there were enough staff on duty to maintain full service. Had a bit of a mix up with the booking at the start but the staff were extremely apologetic and gave us a free lunch to make up for it and were very helpful and genuinely nice for our whole stay. We really enjoyed our stay and the hotel was within easy walking distance to everything. Really enjoyed our stay at the point hotel. The decor was interesting. The corridors were similar to an art gallary space which made the hotel very unique and memorable. The room was small but had everything we needed. The only disappointing thing was that the windows dont open so the room was very stuffy. The location was excellent. "Very outdated rooms, mold in the shower curtain"
We had booked a two night stay in this hotel but had to leve after the first night. Staff was very friendly and defintively wanted to help. The problem was they did not have any of the remodeled rooms hence we got one of the other ones. Room size was ok the problem for us was the bathroom. It was in need of a serious upgrade, there were stains in the […] bathtub and our showecurtain had mold... "Great location"
Stayd five nights during a conference. The room was Ok, but not high standard. The location is perfect, very near the old part of the city. The most negative thing wasthe poor isolation of the door, so sounds and voices from the corridor were disturbing late in the evening and night.

Reception staff very efficient and professional Room was clean but a little tired but I believe they are in the process of decorating all the rooms. Breakfast which was included in the price of the hotel was excellent. Overall I would recommend this hotel which is good value for money and close to all attractions.

Excellent location, very helpful staff, good breakfast, room with the view of the castle as requested. Reception staff very knowledgeable of where to go and what to do. Would definatley recommend to anyone and will go again.

Although the room rates were cheap due to winter season, the room and the surronding were kind of shabby and run down. On top of that, it was noisy due to the closeness of the rooms.

The view of the castle was amazing as you could lay in bed and look up at it. The hotel bar, reception and restaraunt was excellent. The food in the hotel was also very good. The hotel was in a great location, cannot fault the hotel or the food or our room, staff was welcoming and alway helpful, the food in the hotel was excellent and very good value. the towels in the room was fluffy and white, the bedding was also of good quality. a very enjoyable stay and would stay again without hesitation.

"Acceptable"
For location this is excellent and a couple of minutes walk from the old town. Easy to get into and out on the A702. Restaurant and bar are modern and reasonable. Bedrooms are somewhat tired but reasonably clean, corridors are awful. For what we paid it was reasonable and we would recommend but just don't expect the Ritz.

We spent three nights with my husband at the point hotel. It is a decent place at a very convinient area of the city; we went sightseeing on foot - the castle, the royal mile, the new town, the palace - parliament etc, all these places are in walking distance. Airport is 15 mins by airlink 100 bus (I found this info from another member's review, thank […] you!). Breakfast was delicious, but we did not eat at the hotel's restaurants any other courses as we were out all day long. We booked a room with castle view, but from the 3rd floor the view is not so nice - there are other tall buildings between! so, don't waste your money for view. "Good For A Place To Sleep - Great Staff"
Great hotel staff made the stay worthwhile. Room was large. Complaints were few tv channels, bathroom could use a paintjob, and noise at night from street. Pros - great location, great views, great staff, good food/drink offers. Would recommend for a nice place to sleep but without a huge hotel price.

Close to all interesting sights
"Adequate, but uninspiring"
I only stayed at The POint for one night, and was out most of the time, so my impressions are based on only a very short time awake in the hotel! The check-in staff were very polite and efficient, and the bar/restaurant area looked very pleasant. The Point is an old converted warehouse/store building and the interior ambience is somewhat lacking as […] a result. The internal hallways are a bit prison-like and could do with a bit of brightening up. My room was long an narrow with an outlook into the back of other buildings, although this did make it very quiet despite the city centre location. The room it self was quite comfortable, although the long narrow shape meant if didn't lend its self to relaxation.
