"The Clarion Hotel in Shepherdstown, WV"
The hotel staff was very accomodating with everything from assistance with the lobby computer/printer to the lounge manager who accomodate our request for a late night coffee and dessert even though the kitchen was technically closed. There is a nice restaurant and a cozy bar on site. Food was good in Tuscany. Service in Rumsey Tavern was outstanding. […] Room was clean (and there were no bed bugs - since I am a bit paranoid about this problem in hotels, I thought I would mention it for others who are as well). Very convenient to everything in town and major routes to other points of interest outside of town. Good value and would highly recommend. "Nice stay"
This is a very nice hotel with a very good Italian Restaurant ! It is close to Shepheard University and just a short drive from Antietam battlefield which was excellant and well worth a visit. Not too many other places to eat in the town though.

In the middle of no where you have this place where you can get good rest. I would definitely go there again.
"Good for the area"
This hotel is just fine. Could be a updated a little, bathroom could have been cleaned a little better. But all in all, it was fine. Shepherdstown is charming and this appears to be the nicest hotel in the area. Free parking, free internet. We felt like we got our money's worth and would stay there again if we were in the area.

"Perfect location for Civil War battlefields`"
I love this hotel. Restaurant (Italian) is excellent. Rooms are so comfortable, that I gladly spend a day resting up there. Swimming pool is lovely, It is my very favorite holtel anywhere.
Average hotel. Not very helpful or knowledgeable staff. Looked as if the hotel could do with some upgrading, painting and carpet cleaning
"Unexpected Pleasure in Quiet Surroundings"
We are Civil War afficionados as well as laid back gamblers, and I wanted a GOOD hotel in Shepherdstown close to Charlestown Races and Slots. Since it was a special Fathers Day treat I wanted a specially good hotel. There is NOTHING in the area worth a dime, and I was not about to stay in questionable 2 star places. What a wonderful surprise to find […] the Clarion located right where I wanted to be. Although it is a huge hotel designed for conferences, you still get the feeling of intimacy and coziness. The standard room is huge; the dining areas serve very good food; you could stay indoors and be entertained with the pool and the gym or stroll the grounds. It is a short hop to the historical area of Shepherdstown. Would highly recommend this to everyone. And the price does not break the bank either! Lisätietoja
"Great accommodations"
I was hesitant about staying at this Clarion. I had stayed at a Clarion at another town and was not pleased at all. This was a fantastic place. It was very clean, the staff was pleasant and helpful and the rooms were comfortable. Shepherdstown is small and when we found out there was live jazz music at the Clarion we decided to dine there.
