My stay was miserable. The room was infested with fleas (which I am allergic to). I don't understand how something like this can happen. I guess this place is the true example of a "flea-bag hotel. wouldn't even consider returning.

"Don't go when it's hot"
Air conditioner would not stay on. It kept freezing up and then it would just get unbearably hot in the room where you had to throw all the sheets off.
the hotel had a odor...It may have been pet odor that has not been addressed and the towels were rough.

This was the dirties hotel I have ever seen, Room was full of bed bugs and when we notify this ti staff they not even bother to check the room. WE had changed our room at 2 AM in night. Over all ratings to this hotel should be (-10)

Greeting at front desk made me feel very welcome. Be wary of the rooms with bright lights outside of windows. Like trying to sleep at noon!

Towels small and rough, 3 people in room - paying for the 3rd person and had to ask for the 3rd towel and washcloth. had to ask for a 2nd roll of toilet paper. I stayed here for one night prior to an early morning interview in downtown Jacksonville. You really can't beat the price, and the hotel has been updated recently with new linens, fresh paint on the walls and updates to the bathroom (at least this was the case with my room on the 5th floor). Great rooms its clean nice staffs but bring you own towels because they towels will scrub your skin off .

I have stayed in the Red Roof Inn on Lenoir in Jacksonville, FL. two seperate times. I'll keep coming back because my stay has been a very comfortable one each time. The King size beds are so comfortable and the rooms are spacious. Overall my rating of the hotel is a 5 of 5. Will definatly come back again.

This hotel was fine for the price I paid and the fact that small pets were allowed at no charge. Staff wasn't very friendly but there was nothing wrong with them. The beds were very small in the room and the comforter had a burn hole in it.

I actually was surprised by how nice da hotel was. I enjoyed my staff. The room was clean and did not have dat stale hotel smell. Which was nice for a change. O and the bed was so comfy. "Cut backs"
This hotel was pretty ghetto. Didnt have the appliances it should have. Towels were small, didn't have shampoo. It just seems they were cutting back in a lot of things. I guess you get what you pay but I rather pay a little more for better.

I had two days of appts at Mayo Clinic/Hospital & found this hotel. It was SO convenient to get to hospital from hotel---just 9+ miles straight shot there. The hotel was quite clean & the staff was amazing.The general manager actually had personally & privately on her own brought potted flowers to my room while I was out at my appts. I was so touched! […] She just took it upon herself to do this! It wasnt even signed from the hotel---it was her doing totally! There are still good people out there & I WILL be contacting Red Roof Inn regarding her blessings she shared that day! My folks came to town to be in Jax while having my surgery & they stayed there as well as it is also a "pet friendly" hotel! "Clean, neat room and helpful staff"
I am picky and I would stay here again. The cleanliness of this affordable hotel was its best feature. I was here to visit the Mayo Clinic. The drive is a long way to the Clinic by Taxi and I am unsure if the hotel has a shuttle. Once on the main road it is an easy drive to the Clinic. The rate was discounted and worth every penny. The room was a […] cheaply furnished, but very clean. The bedspreads were colorful and new looking. The blankets had old cigarette burns as did the table. I prefer white everything, but appreciate budget hotels that try to provide comfort for weary travelers. People who stay in higher rated hotels may have problems with this hotel because it looks cheap, but I have stayed in better and I've stayed in worse-- this was cleaner than some of the higher rated hotels and the staff was definitely more attentive to guests than most hotels. This hotel was easily livable once you figure out where to eat breakfast-- and get pillows situated. When I thought I saw a stain on the sheet, the housekeeper realized the cause was an old stain on the mattress pad and quickly removed the entire linen. Because it was a weekend there was a delay for additional bedding but when I returned, the bed was completely made. Otherwise I would have rated cleanliness a 5. The room smelled fresh. No heavy perfume, just clean. The TV was not impressive but okay. The TV sat on a dresser. A small round table with 2 small chairs was the only workspace. The wireless Internet was fast. This is the type of hotel that cares about customer service. They want each guest to have a clean room. The bed was firm but tolerable. The pillows were very small. The bathroom was very small-- too small for a walker or wheelchair so ask for a wheelchair accessible room if you need more space. There is free coffee and tea in the lobby. "It is affordable and conveniently located.."
The AC was not the best in the world, but it kept it cool enough to be comfortable. The staff was pleasant. The hotel is just dated somewhat. It could use an overhaul. The price was excellent and if you are just passing through I would highly recommend it. However, if you plan on staying multiple nights I'd look elsewhere.

The front desk staff is very friendly. The rooms are disgusting.... Very dirty and smelled... My socks were black just from walking on the floor for a few minutes.
