The place is not fully staff.. had just one person at the front desk at night.No room service and there was no one in housekeeping either.Did not feel safe staying there.

This hotel was convenient and our room was clean and comfortable. the continental breakfast was fine. It was great to have a place to take our four legged friends (dogs) welcome there. The front desk staff was very friendly. No complaints! good value.

For the price it was very good (beds, location, etc.), but I've never seen so many animals in a hotel and didn't appreciate getting a smoking room when we confirmed a nonsmoking room (got to move for second night). Is it the water in general in Jacksonville that tastes so strange?
No non skid strips in shower and also no grab bar. Quite risky for a hotel.

"Incompetent front desk"
I had booked 3 nights and asked to extend 1 night. Front desk took info and charged me said no problem everything was set...Came back to hotel for the 4th night my key wouldn't work I was told I ddin't have reservation,,Handed the girl my recpt and she said oh the girl booked you for last night...and you were a no show..yet my luggage was still in the […] room.....what a screw up the girl on duty got it fixed( I'll be watching my charge card)......you would think people working the front desk would know what they were doing????. "Convienent"
The first room we were given had not been cleaned and was not ready for a new guest. The front desk agent was professionally apologetic and we were given a new room which was perfectly acceptable. Her deminor and service was exceptional.

We have always been happy at La Quinta hotels. Clean and good beds.

This hotel was very clean and well maintained. The staff was very kind and helpful. I was dissapointed with the breakfast selections. The last time I stayed at a LaQuinta hotel; They had biscuits and gravy along with bacon and suasage. This location had waffles, cerial, muffins, some fruit. Overall I did like the hotel and would stay there again.

I stayed in Jacksonville to visit my Uncle and cousin while traveling to Pittsburgh, PA. I had my dog with me so it was nice that my room was close to the elevator and the elevator was close to the parking lot. The bed was comfortable and the room was very clean. La Quinta's are pet friendly and serve a good service to travelers with pet. They are usually reasonably priced and the quality is usually consistent with the price. However, I was pleasantly surprised with the condition of the hotel and the service levels. Great Value for the price.

Great place to stay...only complaint is that we had checked in so late they ran out of non-smoking rooms, so we had to stay in a smoking room. Otherwise it was worth the great price!

The family stopped here for one night on our way from one place to another. The location was right off the highway in a nice area. Rooms were clean and comfortable. The hotel is right off the interstate, making it very easily accessible. It was in a great area of town. I felt very safe.

Remember folks, this is a budget hotel. Upon our arrival at JAX, I called La Quinta and Jenna (great receptionist) told me the van would be there to pick us up within 20 minutes. Russell, our driver, was there in 15 minutes, He was courteous and answered our questions to the best of his knowledge. We checked in and reserved the van to take us to Jaxport […] the next day, and again the next day, Russell was there to bring us promptly to the cruiseport. Our room was very clean and everyone in the hotel went out of their way to say hello. The pool was spotless, the continental breakfast had fruit, muffins, fresh, make your own waffles. Coffee was fresh and plentiful. We were a little nervous after reading some of the reviews on other web sites, but I would have no problem staying at La Quinta again if I am in Jacksonville. My special thanks to Jenna and Russell for making our stay comfortable. My only comment in the negative, is that the closest eating places were burger type restaurants. Fortunately, we are not fussy, so it wasn't a big deal. A liquor store was within walking distance, so I bought a bottle of wine and we had that with our burger and fries. Hey, go with the flow. We love staying at La Quinta because we enjoy traveling with our dogs. Th Orlando La Quinta was especially nice, centrally located, staff was helpful. Prime Outlets very close. "Paper thin walls but nice hotel"
Everything was great but the walls were paper thin - we could hear dogs barking in other rooms and a neighboring guest left his TV on all night, which we could clearly hear through the walls. Recommend finding another place to stay :(
