The location was very convenient which made our stay even nicer. The hotel employees were very helpful with suggestions and directions.

Great hotel for the price and location.

For a hotel in Waikiki, this hotel is overly targeted at business travelers. For instance, they don't have brochures for any of the many activities available in the area. The location is convenient relative to the locations of other hotels in the area. You pay a $30 a night premium to be closer to the beach when in fact, this hotel is just about a […] 7 minute leisurely walk to the Hilton Hawaiian village which has a public beach area that's accessible to all. Housekeeping is a bit slow. For example, they came into our room around 1PM in the afternoon. Not complaining really. Just an observation. The pool is small but the exercise room is nice. 1. We checked into the hotel, and the next day I found numerous bug bites on my ankles. The following day, we found something that looked like fleas, when I called the front desk, they said they would hae to send someone up to check it out. The maintenance guy showed up, and he found the same thing. We were then told "we are going to have to move you!" […] Our "reasonable" accommodation was a smaller room, on a smoking floor, when I have requested non-smoking when checking in. I only realized after we have unpacked everything, it it was too much to pack up and move again in the middle of the night. I was told "we are a pet-friendly hotel," so sometimes bugs would travel room to room!?? 2. After checking in, we found out that there's a $29/day for valet parking only, self-parking is not available. I was happy to pay the fee, but then by the third day, the valet attendant caused a dent on the car when backing into the parking spot. We were told that the hotel would take full responsibility, and all the paperwork. However, the next morning, we were told that the police would be coming over to write a report, and we had to stay put!? I was not at all happy, so my husband called back to get a time frame, since we were on vacation and did not want to wait at the hotel all day! Clean, tidy hotel.Courteous staff. Recommended.

Love, love, love their beds. The bathroom was a little tight...hard to sit on the toilet without your hip bumping the toilet paper holder. That was poooor planning.

We had a hard time finding a hotel in Waikiki where we could stay with our large dog - Doubletree allows dogs up to 75 pounds! All other hotels close by that allow dogs have a weight limit of 25 pounds or less. Staff was very helpful and courteous and made sure we were taken care of. Made our move back to the mainland much less stressful.

The property is clean and nice. I wish I could say the same about location as It is at least 10-15 walk to the nearest beach. Otherwise the stay was very comfortable.

This hotel has great access to the shopping/dining hub of Honolulu, as well as being very easy to get to the beach. We walked everywhere we went.

Too small room. Not ideal for a family

we stayed at this hotel for one night following a cruise. Location was close to airport and cruise port. Hotel is located across the street from many high end hotels, but the surrounding area was not as nice as our stay on the Waikiki Boardwalk. We traveled with our 2 kids (7 mo., and 4 years). Pool is very basic. Hotel is nicely decorated following […] a recent remodel. Bathroom was very clean, lots of hot water and good shower water pressure. Only complaint was the original room was so smokey, that I walked in about a foot and had to walk out. Although they changed rooms for us, we had to wait yet again. The original room was so bad I would have expected housekeeping and management to switch rooms without me having to ask (especially with 2 small kids and a non-smoking room requested!). I got a good deal for a nights stay so overall it wasn't too bad. The only complaint was that they never mentioned to us that their pipes were going to go through maintenance and they shut off the water as we were trying to get ready so we could check out. The Double Tree was an excellent hotel to stay at, the service provided was beyond a doubt 5 Stars, the food quality was some of the best I've ever eaten. The only shortfalls of the Double Tree is the room I stayed in was lacking of what I expected from a 4 Star rated hotel, the following area's were found "wanting": 1) No mini bar (my personal opinion […] is if you are a 4 star or higher every room should have one) 2) High Speed internet cost $10 a day. (this would not be an issue except for item 3) 3 High Speed internet was only 10kbps faster than dial-up, internet speed for my room at it's fastest reached 62kbps download speed. Overall the brass tax is, service, cleanliness, comfort, and location are 5 Star, additional amenities do not go above a standard 3 Star "Days Inn". If the Double Tree fixed these small additional missing amenities they could easily be a 5/5 Star guest rated hotel. Lisätietoja

We booked online for the first time and really did not know what to expect but this hotel did not disappoint. It was recently renovated and our room was lovely. When we opened the patio doors and sat outside in the morning, we could see the ocean. We were a short walk from beautiful Waikiki beach. Good location. Buffet breakfast was nothing special. Room was fine except for high tub and hard-to-turn bathroom faucets for elderly guests. A/C was great escape from humidity. Staff always helpful.

Staff is so friendly, always a nice smile and a warm cookie. The location is very - close to the action in Waikiki, without being in all of that traffic. Plus, getting to/from Ala Moana Shopping Center or the airport is super easy. Mahalo!

The car parking was "only valet" and costed $27/day !!

but the lobby was under constuction that is probly why i got such a good rate you can tell it is owned by the hilton it also had a wet bar which was nice the only thing was the shower was half a tub and the curtain didn't cover the area and water got all over the floor. If they had a hot tube I would have made the stay much nicer

Nice hotel, clean, curteous staff. Restaurant very nice, good food and great staff. Clean rooms and public areas. Only glitch was that we paid for an oceanview room - which we had to stand on our tippy toes on the balcony to see, and it was about 5 blocks away - looking through the spaces between bigger buildings. I had already a lot of information about this hotel from other blogs and comments from other people. It's a great hotel with a lot of close food pplaces anf only few minutes walk from the beach. If you don't enjoy walking, don't stay here - it's 15min away from the strip. Clean,nice people and warm chocolate chip cookies every day.

Nothing wrong with hotel. Par for the course for Waikiki, but I would not say this was as nice as other Doubletrees. Smallish room but clean and in good repair. Free Wifi in the lobby, but you pay for it in the room. Parking is Valet only and $27/per day which I thought was crazy. I could not find that in the hotels.com description but maybe I missed […] it. I don't know if this was an original DoubleTree or not. Our only complaint was the small size of bathroom and tub. It seemed to be based on older european or asian standards. ホテルの部屋の雰囲気も良いし、今回は特に部屋のラナイからサンセットを見ることが出来て凄く良かったと思います。 でも一つだけこれは改善して欲しいので､お願いです。 冷蔵庫があまりにも小さすぎて困りました。 これが改善されるととても嬉しいのですが・・・・ あの冷蔵庫は飲み物も殆ど入らないので悲しかった。 後は､フロントの人も凄く感じよく､手際よくチェックインもチェックアウトも出来ました。

良かった点 ・静かである（ヒルトンビレッジなどが好きな人には、寂しい場所であるが、近くにABCストア、セブンイレブン、チーズバーガーショップがあり、飲み物、食事などは問題無し） ・日産の電気自動車レンタカーがロビーで借りられる。１時間１５ドル。短い時間レンタカーをする場合かなり安いのでは。（チャイルドシート等の貸し出しはやっていないので残念） ・朝ご飯がとてもすばらしい。オムレツなどを好みの野菜を入れて焼いてくれる。今までのホテルで一番くらいの美味しさであった。 ・エレベーターが比較的早くきて、イライラしない。 残念なところ ・バスタブがない。（スウィートルームにはあるらしい） ・レンタカーを停めると２９ドルと高い。 ・無線インターネットがロビーは無料だが、部屋は有料。（一日約１０ドル） […]  ・部屋のドアが重い。ベビーカーなどを入れるときに大変である。 Lisätietoja

ハワイは何処え行っても No Smoking!! 。 せめて自分の部屋では、コッソリぜずに他人の事考えずにタバコが吸いたいけど、そんなの有りっこ無いよ～。 有るんです。 まさに、このホテルです。 部屋も順次改装中、古い部屋はちょっと前のロココ調で白ぽい感じ、改装後は今時のシンプルでスッキリしたダークブラウンウッドの落ち着いた感じです。 絶対に喫煙ルームが取れるかどうかは、全室喫煙では無いので、予約状況しだいです。 私は毎回レンタカーを借りるので、立地より喫煙ですが！！でもなかなか良いですよ。 ここは、ヒルトンファミリーです。

ワイキキDFSとアラモアナショッピングセンターに歩いて、5~7分の便利な立地でした。また、フロントやベルキャプテンは非常に迅速な対応をしてくれたかなと思います。ただ、チェックインした部屋は、トイレの水が流れっぱなし、リクエストして変えてもらった部屋は、コーヒーなどの備品やベッドサイドなど見えないところにはほこりがかぶってました。また、栓抜きを頼んで、ワインオープナーを持ってきたので、改めて、ビアボトルオープナーと指示したにもかかわらず、音沙汰なし。たまたまかもしれませんが、基本の基の部分ができていないのは痛い感じでした。
