La Quinta Inn & Suites Columbia NE - Fort Jackson - Columbia

Was very upset to come back to my hotel room after a day with my solider and find that my room had not been cleaned AT ALL!! When I asked for the manager, I was informed by the front desk clerk that the manager was not there. They did not even try to compensate or ask if they could come up and clean really quick!!! This is highly unacceptable.

We went to Columbia for the weekend to go to the WinterJam concert and go to the Riverbanks Zoo and Gardens. I will be honest, when we pulled into the parking lot of this hotel I was very worried that this hotel was going to be a dump... but as they say, don't judge a book by its cover. The outside isn't very appealing and basicly you have to go through […] a gas station parking lot to get to the hotel. But once we were inside my opinion was completely changed! This hotel has wonderful employees and it is soooooo clean and well maintained. Our room was even better than the pictures on the website. It was very wonderful and looked like a very expensive hotel room. Everything was so great.The breakfast area was nice and they had waffles, which we love. Our stay was wonderful! Hotel was ok at best. Ground floor where our room was smelled musty near ice machinel and then like cigarettes as we move closer to our room. Our room smelled fine, was quiet and clean. Water pressure in shower was weak for second LaQuinta stay jn 2 years. Was not good both times different hotels in same town! Fix that!

Hotel was kind of off the path. We were traveling up I 77. Fire alarm went off in the early evening. No fire, some glich had set off the alarm. Tv's went out at 9:00 PM. Didn't come back on till middle of the night. Apparently somehow related to electrical problems. My sons college team had games at the Plex in COlumbia this hotel was directly 6 miles from rinks. One straight Shot. If time arises I will stay again.

Not bad for the money, close to Fort Jackson for graduation. Neighborhood looked a little sketchy, but room was clean and bed was comfortable. Breakfast not stocked regularly, kept running out of items. Staff friendly. Close to decent restaurants and easy access to freeways.

I came to Columbia for 1 night and Laquinta was good for the price. The room was clean and the staff was friendly. Check in and out was a breeze. I think that the breakfast could have been better. It started at 7, I got there about 8:30 and everything was gone except yogurt and cereal. Hey can't beat the price though.

The hotel staff was very nice. The rooms was very clean and spacious. Everything that was mentioned online was availaable. I would refer this hotel to other guests and I will stay again.

Was clean, comfortable, and well priced. Room is a bit small, but fine if you are just passing through. The breakfast was hard boiled eggs, hot waffles, bagles, cereals, and juice. In my experience of continentals, I would say about average. They allow pets which is great. Overall no complains, but not enough to get 5 stars from me.

This place isn't as good as it was, appears to be understaffed and is definitely dirty. The last two times I've stayed I've had barking pets disturb my sleep, since I travel regularly I'm have to reconsider staying at La Quintas due to the pet policy.

We had a very pleasant stay. The staff was very friendly and considerate. Considering the area it is located, the noise level was very minimal. The location is very close to the Fort Jackson base, excellent! The continental breakfast very tasteful. The room was cozy, but the bathroom could use a little updating, but not bad. I was not aware that the hotel was pet friendly. Some pet owners did not have their dog on a leash. I am concern of the cleanliness of the bedding, since most pet owners treat their pets as humans/part of the family. This could create health problems for patrons such as myself.

The walls are thin so you could hear everything in the halls and rooms next door. Breakfast truck didn't deliver so breakfast needs work but the Staff was really nice

This place was like staying in a 5 star place for a 2 star price. couldn't be happier.

La Quinta Inn & Suites, Columbia, SC NE This is a very nice place to stay. It was clean, staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good for being included. It was about 20 mins. from Columbia, SC fair grounds. I would recomended.

I chose this location because it was close to Ft. Jackson. It was only 5 minutes from the base. The room was clean, comfortable, and very modern furnishings. The only thing I didn't like about the room was the shower drain kept getting backed up, but it wasn't anything major. Well, you get what you pay for. The pool was clean, the beds were pretty soft, and the breakfast typical. I can't say anything bad about the place for the price I paid. The driving distance to Ft. Jackson was convenient.

I enjoyed my stay. Nice hotel staff who seemed to be good workers, decent breakfast, updated TVs and rooms. No business center, but there's a FedEx/Kinko's right down the road.

We stayed two nights to attend my son's graduation from Basic Training and rented two rooms to house everyone. The property is about 10 minutes away from the base and you do not even need to drive to the next interstate exit to visit Ft. Jackson if you do not wish too. In summary, this property is a two star grade hotel and I would rate this one as […] being better among that class of hotels. The hotel was clean and generally well maintained with a small fitness room and a pool. All were acceptable. An elevator serves the rooms and this avoids concerns about stairs, etc that are common to hotels of this class. Rooms were clean, in good maintenance and generally up to date. The beds were comfortable and the pillows more than adequate for sleeping. The internet, while available, may not be usable in all rooms. The room I stayed in, it was fine. My daughter could not connect to the internet from her room, but did have wireless connectivity - the signal was too weak. Breakfasts are a standard continental fare, with cereal, toast/bagels, yogurt, fruit & waffles that can be self cooked. Nothing to "write home about," but everything were within expectations too. The area the hotel is located within is on a major street with typical strip development on it. The area felt safe. The property is technically not on this street, but actually behind a gas station that fronts the street. A side street provides actual access to the hotel and travels into a nice middle class residential area. Perfect for those who want to run, etc as part of their workout preferences. All in all, the hotel was very satisfactory and I would recommend it to anyone visiting Fort Jackson wishing for accommodations at this hotel class level. I will stay there again if I travel to Ft. It was the best hotel that I have been in for sometime I will definetly will go back to you when I need a hotel.

CLOSE TO ALL TYPES OF RESTAURANTS AND THE INTERSTATE. PETS WERE WELCOME,NO PROBLEM AT ALL. HOTEL WAS VERY QUIET, NO OUTSIDE NOISES IN ROOM.

Hotel staff was very friendly. Rooms were clean. Breakfast bar had a variety to choose from - hot & cold. Location was VERY convenient to Fort Jackson for military graduation. Highly recommend. Great hotel - great price!!

This hotel is great. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The location is great. It was close to everything we wanted to do. It's close to the beach. The price was great. The breakfast was good. Would definatly stay there again if in the area.

If the hotel manager Bernard is there I would sure stay here again. He fixed a mager mix up with our room being booked to someone else. You will have a nice stay here!

The hotel was nice, slightly tucked away but right on the 'main drag' and it was very close to the interstates so it was a very convenient location. The young woman who checked me in wasn't the friendliest but all in all it was a good stay.

The room was extremely nice, beds very comfortable, and staff helpful!

Perfect location for graduations at Ft. Jackson. We got to spend all our time with the graduate and not commuting

not bad if you are just staying one night. place beginning to show its age, the clerk at the counter was wearing a shirt too small and wrinkled that looked like he'd slept in it. However for what we paid for one night, was a decent deal.
